Drivers front window makes a clunking noise when rolling down when partially open. It doesn't make the noise when rolling down when completely closed. I have taken it to the dealership to have it looked at 4 times & it's still not fixed. 1st time Service Dept. stated they could not duplicate clunking noise. I realized they wrote the service order up totally wrong in describing the problem. 2nd trip to Service Dept. they couldn't duplicate noise and I had to sit in my car & roll the window down while they did the same in a brand new Forester. They finally agreed that the was a clunking noise & it shouldn't sound like that but I needed to bring it back as they needed 2 hrs to pull the door apart. So on the 3rd visit to Service they pulled the door apart &said everything looked fine but they lubed all working parts & the clunking went away. UNTIL it rained &the clunking came back, 4th visit to Service (I even called t tell them the clunking came back) they claimed they could NOT duplicate any noise at all & the window is fine but they used all parts again. For now there is no noise but I would bet that once it rains again the clunking will be back.
This is only 1 of the many issues I have had with this car & it only has 11k miles on it and is just over 1 yr old. Glove box clip broke the other day so it flops open, passenger air bag on/off light switches back & forth when under 100 lbs, but you get different weight limits from different service people on what weight trigger is (including Subaru Corporate), Gas mileage is not even close to what window sticker says! And I could go on but I won't. Am not a happy Forester owner at the moment!
