I have a 2007 Suzuki Forenza it had about 119000 miles on it at the time of first incident. It wouldn't hardly move forward and or go up hills and has struggled to do so since. The car rolls back on hills when you try to move forward. When driving the car barely wants to move. This needs to be recalled very dangerous.

I have a 2007 Suzuki Forenza, shortly after I got it I noticed it would cut off when I turned the A/C on. If I leave the A/C on it jerks and struggles to reach the posted speed limit. Aside from that issue while driving the car doesn't change gears well and RPM shoots way up and the car drags. This is very dangerous and has caused me to almost be involved in multiple accidents. I do not feel safe with my children nor my self driving this car. Something needs to be done about this defect before someone gets hurt. When this occurred I was attempting to turn and car wouldn't accelerate at that point I panicked and realized I had the pedal all the way down and it still would not go. Then all of a sudden it made a big clunk and jerk and slowly pulled off. I was on a busy intersection between two highways. This is very dangerous and does need immediate attention.

I have had two transmission range sensors put in my car and now it needs a third one. The last one the mechanic stated something is "burning up the sensor." I also have issues with getting the key out of the ignition. My car now has 102,000 miles and I have had nothing but problems with it from day one. It seems there are a lot of transmission range sensor issues that people are having. The problem is this is a recurring issue. Like I said this is my third one. This should be a recall from Suzuki and they need to figure out what is causing these sensors to keep going out.

I brought a brand new 2007 Suzuki Forenza in 2007 and since then have had problems ever since. In the first week I brought it the timing belt had broke. Soon after the transmission messed up and was told the engine needed to be rebuilt. Thanks to my extended vehicle warranty (not by Suzuki) I was able to get this fixed without paying out of pocket. Now not even two years later I am being told that the front strut mount and struts are going bad and need to be replaced (estimated at $687). In addition to that all four of my door handles are broken and have been for some time after breaking off with a simple touch. With the paint chipping off on the outside door handles as well. I have no money to pay for all the repairs on this vehicle as I have been paying it on for the last five years and it is almost paid for but I cannot continue to endure countless repairs I am having to go through while driving this car. I do not go anyway except from work to home in my car and I do not understand why I am having all of these problems when the car was suppose to be brand new when I bought it. I am afraid to drive this car even as simple as going to the store because I do not know what will happen. I will never buy another Suzuki again.

While driving the car shuddered and check engine light comes on. I lost almost all power and needed to step hard on accelerator to make car move, especially from a stopped state. This is the same problem I had with this vehicle about 6 months ago. At that time the car was taken to a local mechanic and the engine code returned a problem with the transmission switch sensor. The sensor was replaced and the problem stopped until this recent issue. If I drive the car for a while the check engine light will eventually go out and the car drives fine. But in a day or two the problem occurs again. I need to get the sensor replaced again but it seems there are numerous reports of this same issue out there. I think this should warrant a recall.

My first exp. With this problem happened as I was backing out of a parking space. I put the car in reverse and it went back, but I put in drive it would not move, so I put in 3rd gear and it move forward slowly until put in drive again and it worked. Second time a was driving about 40 mph and all of a sudden the car goes into neutral and I lose power, again I put in 3rd and power catches luckily no one behind me to slam into me. I took it to the dealer and asked if there had been a recall on this problem, they said no but would check it out for 90 dollars! they could not reproduce the problem and didn't do anything. Third time tonight 1-20-13 im leaving work and the car gets me to the grocery sore alright, but leaving for home it goes from drive to neutral and no power again put it 3rd and I get home driving 15 mph.when trying to park it wont go into park I have to put in neutral, turn key off and hand brake. Turned the car back on to see if it would work right and all I would get was a slash over the P and the D.

When I was in park I put it in reverse the car didn't recognize the car was in reverse and it had a line across it and check engine light came on. I put the car back in park and then was able to drive it, and the light went off, but the while driving the car the line will go across the drive and the car will no longer accelerate, which can be dangerous on the highway. I brought it into pepboys they said a transmission code was popped up, but they reset the codes, even though I didn't tell the guy to do that. Now the problem occurs but the check engine light doesn't come on. I brought it to a Suzuki dealership and they said they think it is a transmission sensor, but the diagnostic check said it was fine, and they said wait until the check engine light comes back on, but the problem now occurs without the check engine light coming on. But I'm scared to drive it on the road because at anytime I could lose power and be injured in a car accident. I had it towed to a local mechanic and hope they can repair it.

I could really use some assistance. I have a 2007 Forenza and yesterday as I was putting the car into reverse, it made a loud clunking noise. The gear selector display on the dash seemed to go haywire displaying all the letters (D, R, N, etc) with a diagonal line through it. It then went back to normal, then the "check engine" light came on. They hooked up the diagnostic computer and it came up with codes PO700 and PO705, which varies in wording but seems like it's the transmission range sensor.I have read that many other people have had the same problem. This is a problem that Suzuki should take care of a sensor cost to those who bought their cars.

When you put the car in drive, it feels like the front end is going to fall. Then when you go, it doesn't shift into gears correctly. We had the part replaced the first time in 2009. Now its doing it again and they won't cover it under warranty. This seems to be a problem with these cars and should be recalled.

2007 Suzuki Forenza accelerates extremely slowly when hot. Car shudders and will not gain rpms. Often will not accelerate out of stop lights. Engine light flashes during such episodes. Engine light stays on at all times. Will lose speed randomly while in traffic. After time, it will suddenly regain power, resulting in an abrupt lunge if accelerator is depressed. Vehicle code said problem was with the catalytic converter. Replaced cat, but it made no impact on the vehicle's performance. Was advised that the problem could be the shift range sensor. Have not yet repaired as I spent all of my repair money on the cat replacement.

My check engine light came on to find that my transmission switch had gone bad causing it not to shift correctly....thinking no big deal, I took it to my mechanic. He said these transmissions were known as throw away transmissions. I came home and googled my problem to find numerous lower mileage Suzuki Forenzas with the same issue, some almost causing accidents. Please consider a mandatory recall on this part.
