My brakes don-??t work. Brake pedal is all the way pushed in and brakes don-??t respond. There is not breaking fluid leak or lack of fluid. This is major hazard as I can-??t drive my vehicle

Brake booster failed 1 yr ago. At that time, I was told my car does not qualify for the recall because of the VIN batch. So repairs were made out of pocket. Now, I have a letter from Toyota stating I can get reimbursed for the parts and labor. Great! But when I follow the instructions from the letter to navigate the website, the final instruction states to click on "Submit Reimbursement Request". It does NOT exist. I called and spoke with Toyota, They were unaware of this issue. I'm not sure where to go from here. The repair was over $1600 and I had to hunt down the part myself. Due to the recall demand, local dealers did not have the part. A nightmare. I

Break booster vacuum pump needs to be replaced per the diagnostic at the Toyota dealership. My car would not completely start when I was trying to turn it on. The break pad became stiff, unable to press down and a warning message stated -??low breaking power-??, therefore the car would not turn on and it became not drivable. If this were to happen while I was driving on the road, not only would it put myself in a lot of danger but others as well due to not being able to break. Even though it is not a part of the 2018 Camry recall batch, it is the exact same issue, therefore it is definitely a manufacturing issue.

Hi there, So I have an open recall for my car and the Toyota Service Center is not helping me to fix this issue, I went there two times for the recall and every time they said we don-??t have the part yet, we don-??t know when it gonna come, and every time they said we gonna call you when we got the part, which they never do, it-??s been a month and I am facing issues while driving, brakes are not good, my car is not catching pickup, it looks like it gonna stop soon. 1st Occurance: Approaching stop sign getting off freeway and brake pedal was hard to depress and brakes slow to work, pulled emergency brake to stop vehicle just in time. No warning lights, no squeaking brakes or grinding noises. We had a long drive approximately 4-5 hours freeway with 1 hour stop before reaching our destination where this occurred. 2nd occurance: Next day in city traffic driving 35-40mph. Noticed brakes getting less effective with each use eventually having to use emergency brake as main brake. Still no lights or noises from vehicle. Pulled over and called Carmax where I financed and had MaxCare to make an appt for brakes to be fixed and diagnosed. Appt was made for a week or so out and in the meantime, driving home to park the vehicle-?? 3rd and last occurrence:(same day) while approaching a traffic light, the brake pedal was depressed but failed to stop the vehicle. No brake warning light.No dashboard warning lights on at all. The brake pedal was depressed to the floorboard to stop the vehicle and vehicle did not stop. Pumped the brake pedal a few times and still nothing. Vehicle ended up getting deemed totaled by insurance. Also note: the airbags did not deploy. The accident was a head-on collision with a rock wall going 40-45mph. Seatbelts fastened. Passenger was dazed from hitting head during accident and bleeding. Right leg received a 7 in cut which is now a knurly 3-4 inch scar. I was left carless and basically homeless with no where to stay in an unknown city for weeks until I was able to purchase a bus ticket home. Due to being stuck 6 hours away from home and carless I lost my job. My life has been completely turned upside down and my mental health is continuing to decline. I am unable to take kids to school or sports as well as the park for simple family quality time.

The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided contact with a rental vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 84,729. VIN tool confirms parts are not available.

System breaks stoped function when I was driving on freeway 65mph. The inspection is/is not available because they need technicians from the manufacturer. Technicians from the auto repair confirm there is no repair as has been defective. They said the problem might be repair by the second quarter of 2022 I was a high risk and putting all people driving around me in a high risk. The problem has been confirmed by the Toyota auto repair same location where the car was purchased. The inspectors from the manufacturer should be inspecting the vehicle since the first week of January There was no indication of break failure, system brakes malfunction or anything before until the day of the incidente.

I have had issues with the breaks since I purchased the vehicle. The first recall I got the vacuum pump replaced. I still have the same issue. I have been having the break issue but recently had an issue slamming on my breaks after someone was coming around the corner too fast in my garage and feeling pushback from the break petal and not breaking fully. I actually did hit her care but she only had scratches and decided not to file a claim (I have the date and pictures as well). I bought this Camry feeling confident and I actually worry about my breaks I even got them replaced thinking they were worn out but I still have the same issue.

There-??s been a few times when I started my car to head to work and something appears on the dash board that reads ( Air bag malfunction) Then it-??s gives me a hard time to steer the car. This has happened ample times. So when it does happen I have to shut the car off and then turn it back on so that the issue on the dash board disappears. I do this 2 to 3 times until it clears. (Very weird).. Every time it happens it-??s when I turn my car on to head out to either go to work or do errands. Etc. But i usually shut the car off immediately when I see that it appears on the dash board. When I do, it usually goes away and I can again take control of the steering wheel and the pressure on the steering wheel go back to being normal and manageable. But I-??ve noticed that when it does come on there-??s a tremendous change in the steering Ps. It reads -??. Airbag malfunction.

I was driving back home about 70 miles an hour and all the sudden i got a message on my dashboard saying that i have a low braking power and yes there was not power at all. The car did not brake at all there will be a lot of tragedies because that is very dangerous, i got very lucky i had the time to look for the emergency break pedal but very scary. I research if anybody had a problem like that and there is about 60 people that had gone trough the same problem and contacted toyota and see if they is a recall on this problem and they said no. Every car that i saw on the complaint list is at over 100 k, so once you hit the 100 k be very careful and by the way is a toyota camry 2018

I took my car to local diller and they was diagnosed that i have to replace brake vacuum pump, but i have to pay for that service $1350... but i know that Toyota hade recall exactly for this part of brake sistem. I chaked my car for this recall but there is no recall for my car, only fuel pump is... but fact is that my car have same problem, why it is not qualifay fo recall i don-??t understand. Can you help me figure it out why i have to pay, when thousands of other car was repaired for free by dillers? Thank you
