RAV4 Hybrid XSE 2.5L

  • CVT transmission
  • 21,000 miles

My Rav4 12v battery (NOT the hybrid battery) suddenly died over night. I'm certain nothing was left on - even accessories turn off after 20 minutes. When I finally got a charged battery, the steering wheel had to be held 10+ degrees left for the vehicle to go straight. The car did NOT do this before the battery died. But just in case, I took it into the dealership to be aligned. It didn't help. They replaced the steering rack. Didn't help. Literally the next day, only 20-30 minutes after driving it, the battery died again. I'm scheduled to bring it back in soon. Thankfully, my local dealership seems to be taking it seriously and has a field rep on the case. Still, the car has been in the dealership every couple of weeks for months. I LOVE the design of the car, but will be trading if I can't get a solution.
