Recall notice #15V48300; date 08/04/2015; air bags; frontal I was backing the car out of my driveway turning my steering wheel when I heard something rattling around in the steering wheel and then I heard a "snap" or "pop" and then an air bag error alert was displayed on the information panel, the air bag light illuminated, and I lost the electronic controls on my steering wheel. Unfortunately for me, my VIN is not included in the recall notice 15V483000 for 2010-2014 Passat sedans, so I am called VW to complain and hopefully they can do something to help with the cost of repairs since there are 2010-2014 Passat sedans that are affected by the recall, just not mine.
