- 2015 Ford Focus: premature clutch wear (11 complaints) I was a new divorcee single mom when I bought the car. My dad help me to co sign and I will be grateful, as he has now died. When we bought the car, he told me how Ford is one of the oldest American dealers. He had an old 79 Ford Truck, which he was proud of. I purchased a 2015 Ford Focus SE, it has had tons of recalls, replacements on the clutch, transmission, issues with the AC and so forth. - 2017 Ford Escape: coolant in #3 cyliner (2 complaints) Engine Light came on and immediately with a few days took the vehicle into the dealership and asked for a tech to do a diagnostic on it. It came back with "requires engine replacement", it showed the following codes - P0301 and P0316. If you are located in Canada and this has happened to you please contact the Transport Canada to issue a formal Complaint - it is easy and quick - enough people do it and they will need to issue a RECALL, which should have happened a few years ago - I can't believe Ford has known ... read more »
- 2020 Toyota RAV4: coolant bypass valve (1 complaints) Engine Maintenance Required message popped up. It is not possible to turn it off, you can only make it disappear for about 5 seconds. This makes your dash useless until it's fixed. I read on the internet that you can test whether or not it is your coolant bypass valve by turning the heat all the way up on the car and turning it off and then on again. - 2015 Nissan Rogue: transmission failed (3 complaints) My vehicle stopped on the side of the road. It was towed to the repair garage. The total is this high because Nissan said it can't be rebuilt and it also needed a cooler system . Then after it was ordered ,they sent the wrong one. The price is set by Nissan. Fortunately my garage gave me a loaner since this wrong delivery has now caused further delays . It will be a week tomorrow. HOPEFULLY I will get my car back. - 2015 Toyota Sienna: windshield cracked on its own (2 complaints) I woke up one morning to find my back windshield completely shattered! I went through all the possibilities in my mind. How, Who, What? When? I just concluded a kid problem threw a rock. So I took it to get replaced. The very next day I took it to get cleaned as it has gotten dusty driving it without the windshield. - 2015 Toyota Camry: steering pulls (12 complaints) While driving at around 20 MPH, the car pulled to one side. I checked the tires and found nothing wrong. Five days later, at 75 MPH on the highway, the car pulled sharply to the right, causing a major accident. Fortunately, I was able to avoid collision, but others on the road were not as lucky. I contacted the distributor in UAE, who claimed this has never happened before. - 2017 Nissan Titan: knock from #7 cylinder (2 complaints) 2017 Nissan titan SL..... Same song as dance super loud ticking noise coming from the motor. Bought last year from dealership heard the noise being new to Nissan I asked about it. Dealer says fan motor door they will have it replaced. Sounds went away signed contract and sure enough 3 months down the line ticking came back... Took to Nissan they said common issue with Nissan titan 2017- 2019 there was a warranty when they first came out. - 2020 Honda Civic: A/C not working (2 complaints) I have a 2020 Honda Civic with about 70k miles on it. I noticed in the past few months that the air conditioner was working, but not 100% and that it would take a little while driving it around until the cool air started blowing out. So I went in this morning for an oil change and to check to see if there were any extended warranties on the AC. - 2016 Chevrolet Trax: engine failure (3 complaints) I received no codes in fact my diagnostics report from onstar only about a week or 2 prior came back clean, aside from a blinking oil light to which I checked my oil life it was good and topped off the oil. The engine started smoking the day after I topped off the oil and to which the car started heating as soon as the oil had leaked out of the engine, my mom and sister were in the car and were less than a mile away from the house so they managed to get it home at the time they got home oil life which was at 34% ... read more »
- 2020 Toyota Tacoma: cylinder scoring (1 complaints) In April of 2024 I purchased this 2020 certified used Tacoma from my local dealership. About a month in I started noticing a knocking sound coming from the left engine bay with the knock following the RPM’s. It would get louder as the days passed and I became worried. I got the truck looked at and they ran a camera in the cylinder, which showed scoring in the cylinder which caused the piston to slap. - 2014 Nissan Pathfinder: radiator failed due to fan locking up (1 complaints) Radiator, exploding and overheating due to fan locked up. My radiator exploded while sitting in the parking lot of Lowe’s. I left the car running while I was loading mulch, and I heard a big noise and lots of smoke and the radiator coolant was running all across the ground. After getting the car returned home. I had to buy a new radiator have somebody install the new radiator and after that it’s still would not engage the fans at all. My mechanic put it on a tester and it showed faulty. - 2014 Jeep Cherokee: evaporator core failure (1 complaints) Evap core failure sometime between Jan 2024 - May 2024. Book time appears to be around 9 - 12 hours, vehicle takes HFO-1234YF refrigerant which is EXPENSIVE. Total cost: $2000-$3000 to repair around western WA state. Requires the whole dashboard to be removed, which means your doors need to come out, center console needs to come out, coolant drained, steering wheel removed, windshield wipers and cowel removed, HVAC box pulled and evap core replaced. - 2019 Honda Ridgeline: transmission failure (1 complaints) The transmission in my Honda Ridgeline failed while going down the highway during a road trip leaving me and my family stranded in Connecticut (we live in Ohio near Cleveland.) The transmission fell into a low gear causing the engine to surge. Luckily for us, there was an exit available. If we were in the middle of rush hour traffic it could have caused a major accident. - 2023 Acura RDX: vibration felt from steering wheel throughout vehicle (1 complaints) I purchased the "Precision Certified" vehicle from Price Acura in Delaware. During the test drive I noticed it a little bit but figured that it would go away at highway speeds on my 1 1/2hr drive home back to Maryland. Well, it didn't, when I got home I noticed a lot of pebbles in the grooves of the tires, so I spent the next day picking pebbles out of my tires. - 2018 Ford F-150: dropping out of gear (1 complaints) Ford needs to fix this problem with the 10 speed transmissions. It has been an ongoing problem reported it NHTSA hopefully they can issue a recall before somebody's death. read more »
