- 2015 GMC Sierra 1500: poor lighting pattern (56 complaints) These are the worst lights on any vehicle that I have ever owned. I love everything else about this truck but you absolutely cannot drive it at night in dark areas. If it's really dark and raining, you can hang it up. You're better off sticking your head out the window with a flashlight! I have paid to have various types of lights replaced in this vehicle. I was finally told by a GM mechanic that no type of light would help. He said that GM states that it is "normal government rating" but in his opinion, it is a ... read more »

Mini cars have leaky engine with defective seals. If somebody collected data from Mini cars about engine seal leaks & compared with engine leaks in other car brands, they would find Mini has been selling cars with engines that have defective seals. For example, I have a 20 year old Toyota Camry that has never leaked engine oil. Oil leaks are serious issue, BMW should be held accountable for this. They should pay for all ... read more »

Finally took it to dealer to remedy… and they don’t know how to even troubleshoot the problem. They ‘reset’ it and check the next morning and insist the problem doesn’t exist. They keep doing this ‘overnight’ test. Now they have had the car for two ... read more »

- 2013 Lexus ES 300h: door lock actuator failure (1 complaints) I have had no other issues with this car, it has been wonderful since I bought it a year and a half ago. About a month ago, I started noticing that I was unable to open the drivers door with the passive unlock system and it would just beep continuously. Eventually the actuator stopped working completely and I had to manually unlock and lock the door with the physical key. AAA jump started the first time and replaced it after it failed the second time later the same day. Honda paid back for the battery. Two years later in May 2023 I had the same problem. I say the same because I know something is weird about the electrical components. Because, I got used to touchscreen beeping for no reason every 6 month or so. "Brake" warnings show for no reason when the road is completely open once in a while (which ... read more »

- 2004 Subaru Outback: harmonic balancer came apart and fell off (1 complaints) I am a ASE and VOLVO Master Tech of over 23 years. I called Subaru Of North America requesting goodwill warranty. They judged the case and said no due to not being a loyal dealership patron. I received the car from my mothers estate. She had it serviced at her local dealership until the hood flew open. They never lubed the hood catch and safety catch. The Dealership accepted blame and repaired the car. She stopped going to the dealer. If anyone else had this happen (as the Subaru tech said "we use to replace ... read more »
- 2013 Lincoln MKX: engine stalled (2 complaints) FIXED! = 2013 Lincoln MKX began shutting off randomly WHILE DRIVING and then would crank right back up (most of the time) and go good for a day and then shut-off again. NOT GOOD! No engine light but it was a simple fix! It was the vapor canister purge valve sticking open intermittently and also replaced the vent solenoid. No more shut-offs after these parts installed, less than $100 and fairly easy DIY. There ought to be a TSB and more readily attainable info concerning this serious issue and fix. There are ... read more »
- 2021 Subaru Outback: battery dies (3 complaints) We drive our Outback every day. Our average commute is 15-20 miles, but we also take the Outback on our regular camping adventures, so it’s seen some heavy mileage in its short time. In March 2023, we took our vehicle in for regular maintenance. The battery passed its test and indicated no issues per the dealership’s multipoint inspection. This morning, about 2.5 months after service, my Outback would not start in our garage. We called to get it jumped, and the roadside assistance serviceman said my car was ... read more »
