- 2012 Buick LaCrosse: won't start/engine stalling (2 complaints) I purchased my Buick with 31,000 miles on it in January 2015, by October 2016, it turned into one problem after another. My fiance came to pick me up from work at 4pm one day and as soon as he backed into a parking spot the car died and wouldn't start back up. I had to have it towed back home. My fiance is a mechanic and after he looked at the engine he found that the motor had seized up. He was able to take a breaker bar and free it. He was able to get it running again after 3 days of inspecting everything and ... read more »

- 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe: excessive oil consumption (19 complaints) Ok I stumbled upon this site after reading the lawsuit on GM for the 6.2 gas. I have read some of the complaints and it appears some don't know what to do about this 5.3 ~~MASSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION--- issue. Sure Gm knows about it and refuses to remedy any of it. So my turd in the the punchbowl is a 2009 4x4 Taco(ex-border patrol) 5.3 v8 Eighth digit in VIN is 0. This is particularly important. follow along now, that is your engine designation / size, 6cyl-8cyl ect.. but for this oil issue it also tells us who ... read more »
- 2019 Kia Soul: engine failure (3 complaints) Suddenly there was a knocking sound that increased and decreased with RPMs. Took it to my mechanic and he drained the oil and it was dark with silver cloudiness. He then reviewed the CarFax history and saw oil change done 400 miles ago. Then calls me and says that with such a good maintenance history it was beyond him and I need to take to dealership. Dealership tells me a new engine is required. A car with only 75000 mile should not need A NEW ENGINE. No check engine light, no warning. Kia customer service tells ... read more »
- 2014 Ford Focus: dashboard splitting around passenger side airbag (1 complaints) The passenger side airbag has a little crease above it in the dashboard - to make it easier to deploy I guess. About 18 months ago (May 2024) I noticed a little crack in this crease, and the size of the crack has been steadily growing until it's now about 10 inches long. I've always been hesitant to stop the spread of this crack (with superglue) because I didn't want to interfere with airbag deployment if it's ever needed. The only solution I know of is pretty expensive - probably more than the current value of ... read more »
- 2025 Chevrolet Trax: entertainment center problems car play not connecting (1 complaints) I’m extremely frustrated with my experience with GM. I bought a brand-new 2025 Chevy Trax, and the electronic problems started almost right away. The car has already been in the shop twice, including the first repair around 1,000 miles, and the issues still aren’t fixed. I’ve followed every update, every suggestion, and I’m still dealing with the same problems. What makes it worse is the way GM handled it. Instead of offering real help, they offered me 50,000 GM points, which is basically $500. That ... read more »
- 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500: po6dd code reduce power to 35 mph (1 complaints) Initially really annoyed, I was on a camping trip with my sons 200 miles from home when my brand new truck broke and we were left in limp mode. I was told It was a P06DD code which at the time really was no big deal, the oil pressure control valve was replaced in engine and a portion of the engine wiring harness was replaced. The service dept had my truck for 17 days and handed it back and said all good. I say the code wasn't a big deal at the time because it wasn't widely know to the general population that it ... read more »
- 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500: catastrophic engine failure (1 complaints) After the engine was "fixed" the first time it went a few thousand miles more and left me stranded on the side of the highway again. This time the bottom end of the engine detonated. turns out that P06DD code was a little more of a problem than a oil pressure control valve and a piece of wiring harness that was replaced the first time. I've owned the truck for five months and a blown engine back to the dealer this time they have it for 51 ... read more »
- 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500: injectors (1 complaints) Hats off the GM on building absolute garbage. Now the third time my truck has been in for service in 8k and seven months of ownership at this point it has spent almost as much time in service as it has had me driving it. After the full and complete engine replacement that was just preformed and the dealer putting a few hundred miles on my truck to make sure it was good to return to me I picked the truck up and drove it 10 miles back to my house and the engine failed again. This time injectors, away on the tow ... read more »
- 2024 Toyota RAV4: spontanous crack without being hit by rock (2 complaints) Windshield had a crack over 9 inches right in line with the driver line of sight. No hit by stone of anything else. Brought car in under warranty and dealer refused to fix claiming it was cause by a stone hitting the windshield. Car only had 2145 miles all local driving. The crack ran from the bottom of the glass up about 4 inches and then a 90 degree turn to the right of 9 inches. You could see the crack started from the bottom edge of the windshield. When I called the dealer to report a stress crack under ... read more »
- 2019 Infiniti QX60: heated seat malfunction (1 complaints) Driver's side heated seat broken. Paid $200 to diagnose - was told the harness and control box needed to be replaced, would fix the heated seat. Quote to repair - $1300. I specifically asked if this would fix the heated seat. Was told yes. I proceeded with the repair, heated seat not fixed. Was then told the blower was broken and needed repair at the cost of another $800 for the part alone. I asked if this would fix the problem - they said 'not necessarily' (!) Asked for refund - I would not have authorized a ... read more »

- 2021 Ram 1500: back window leaking (4 complaints) I have a 2021 Dodge Ram 1500 that we have covered since it was purchased and we hardly drive it. The vehicle only has 12,147 miles on it and still smelled like a new car until November of 2025. Our cover had been damaged from a storm and we hadn't replaced it, mind you it had only been a couple of weeks that the vehicle wasn't covered. I opened the door and smelled something musty and thought something was wrong. The back seat is wet, there was water dripping from the inside on the front passenger window. I have ... read more »
- 2017 Kia Soul: engine failure (7 complaints) This was a very reliable car, until it wasn't. 2 weeks ago the check engine light came on and I took it to the used car dealership I purchased it from and they ran the ODB II codes. I was told that this was to do with the knock sensor and out of caution, I should have the car towed to the Kia dealership immediately. Had the car towed 120Km to the nearest Kia dealer and took time off work to go and deal with this. At the dealership, they checked it over and found nothing wrong. There was an outstanding recall for ... read more »
- 2016 Kia Soul: check engine light (2 complaints) Check engine light came on and it was connected to the purge valve. Seemed to stymie the used car dealer I got it from and he ended up replacing the charcoal purge cannister by the fuel tank. Car still had the light on, so I went to NAPA and bought a replacement purge valve. Installed it myself in less than 20 minutes. Light went off. I am aware the 2016 is one of the worst model years and I am looking to replace it. Kia's are not terribly ... read more »
- 2025 Toyota Tacoma: truck vibrates at 18 to 26 mph (1 complaints) Vibration is relevant at 18 to 26 mph when decelerating and accelerating. I've seen a video here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ToyotaTacoma/comments/1mnuj8x/2025_tacoma_normal_driveshaft_vibration/ I have the same problem but it seems there's no fix yet for this issue as dealership says its "normal". I hope Toyota can address once and for all fix this ... read more »
