- 2025 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid: oil dilution (1 complaints) My 2025 Rav4 Hybrid has an Oil Dilution problem. I changed my oil and filter Feb 10/26 at 6636 km. I check my oil level every few weeks and noticed the oil level was up a bit. As weeks went by and kept checking level it kept creeping up on dip stick, I felt the oil with my fingers and got a faint smell of fuel. I changed the oil and filter again May 8/26 at 8003 km and took an oil sample mid stream. I took sample for oil analysis and it came back showing oil in fuel and a decrease in viscosity. I dropped off ... read more »
- 2019 BMW X3: coolant leak (1 complaints) 2019 BMW X3 with B46 engine experienced major cooling system failure at approximately 80,000 miles. Vehicle displayed low coolant warning and coolant was visibly leaking underneath the vehicle. Around the same time, excessive white steam/exhaust began occurring during cold starts, and the vehicle unexpectedly required engine oil between oil changes for the first time since ownership. Independent repair facility pressure-tested the cooling system and discovered multiple coolant leaks from plastic cooling system ... read more »
- 2020 Chevrolet Traverse: shift to park message came on when i parked my car (1 complaints) I get the message "Shift to Park" when I park my car and turn it off. Sometimes I can turn my car back on and move my shifter to R, N, or D and then back to park and the message is gone. Sometimes I have to do it several times lasting about 10 minutes before it goes off. I can't leave my care like this because I can't lock my car, it leaves my radio on, and when I shut by car door I get a dinging sound to let me know something is ... read more »
- 2015 Hyundai Sonata: excessive oil consumption (38 complaints) I bought my Sonata 2015 brand new. Never abused the car and was very excited because it looked pretty good. One of the main reasons I bought it was because of the 100K powertrain warranty which I thought would be the worst issue that could happen to car and I will be protected if that happens. Guess what? for a couple of oil changes I was notified my car had lost some oil. Nothing to serious, with 90000 miles on it I thought it was normal. Then on about 91000 miles I got check engine light for knocking. went to ... read more »
- 2017 Hyundai Sonata: excessive oil consumption (17 complaints) My 2017 Hyundai Sonata is experiencing excessive oil consumption. The engine burns oil at a high rate with no visible external leaks, requiring frequent oil top-offs between oil changes. The vehicle has also developed misfires and drivability issues. During inspection, oil was found in the spark plug wells, contributing to ignition problems. This suggests internal engine wear (potentially piston ring failure) as well as possible valve cover gasket or spark plug tube seal failure. The car is still drivable but ... read more »
- 2014 Ford Fusion: bad water pump (1 complaints) A couple of months ago I started noticing a bad or loose bearing noise while driving and we replaced the idler pulley, the ac compressor, and the alternator. Little did we know, it was the worst of them all, the water pump bearing. You can't replace the water pump bearing because it's all part of the water pump assembly and now, we need to spend multiple hundreds of dollars possible going into the $1000+ ... read more »
- 2022 Nissan Versa: transmission blown (1 complaints) I have never in my life heard of a transmission going out before 100k miles until mine. I still owe 10k!!! Nissan SUCKS. Put me in danger multiple times before it fully died. Jerking, shuttering, delayed takeoff and unpredictable movement/performance caused me to almost get t-boned at an intersection because my car lagged like crazy and started jerking bad. Random loss of acceleration almost caused me to get rear ended. Car going down so soon when I still owe 10k put me in an AWFUL position. NISSAN SAID THEY FIXED ... read more »
- 2019 Ford Edge: transmission slips and jerks (4 complaints) 2019 Ford Edge Titanium 2.0 4cyl AWD - Transmission issue (2019 - 2021). Awful! A known design problem by Ford but they refuse to fix it (Mine failed at 89,000 miles). The torque converter will eventually fail and the repair cost is generally between $5000 - $8000, depending on any damage to the transmission. Ford dealerships will try everything to "fix" the issue (updating software, flushing, etc), if still under warranty, but will wait until it expires, then say it's the torque converter and say it's not ... read more »

- 2026 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid: brakes are inconsistent and grabby (1 complaints) I've found that on this Tacoma Hybrid Limited, that the brakes tend to be grabby at times. They also present inconsistencies with the force needed to stop under exact same scenarios. Now this is my 2nd Tacoma Hybrid Limited, and so I've learned to accept and deal with the issue better than if never had the experience. But I also notice that the brakes are really grabby at times, like they grab tightly and you can almost hear them. Reminds me of if you have a really squeaky clean surface, that kind of a sound, but ... read more »
- 2026 Toyota Tundra: rodent wire chew (1 complaints) Received an engine error on the dash. Using an OBD tool, it was showing the knock sensors 1 & 2 were an issue. Had to get vehicle towed to dealer. Dealer determined that a rodent chew had occurred. It is obvious from the pictures they were being honest. Now, I know about the soy wiring harness stuff. And the interesting part of this is that if you look at the wiring harness, the parts that were fully enclosed did not suffer any chewing. It's the part of the harness that the wires were not fully encased as they ... read more »
- 2022 Subaru Ascent: lower oil pan leak (1 complaints) During a regular oil change the lower oil pan gasket was found to be leaking. This was the lesser of 2 evils. After some internet research it appears that the oil pan leaking is a common problem. In this case it was just the lower oil pan which is fairly easy to repair. However, the upper oil pan leaking is also common and requires the engine to be removed to repair. An oil pan leak in a 2022 Subaru Ascent is a widely documented issue primarily caused by a failure of the factory silicone liquid gasket (RTV) seal. ... read more »
- 2019 Honda Fit: front camera not working (1 complaints) My mechanic let me know that it is the camera in the front windshield that is not working. Since it is not working I have a lot of sensors going off on my dashboard that are associated with it like the lane assist, breaking, etc. I took it to my local Honda dealership and they said it was the camera too but to keep the receipt when I fix it because he think there will be a recall for ... read more »
- 2025 Hyundai Tucson: jerking during acceleration when cold (1 complaints) Not sure the actual start date or mileage! That said, we purchased the vehicle in Jan 2025 and by mid summer we noted hesitation when slowly accelerating from a stop going to 25 as it is a housing area. Hyundai could not find an issue and was told maybe we are too soft on the pedal. In April 2026 the issue was advanced to be irritating and we dropped off the car so they can drive it when cold. The technician noted the issue and after 3 weeks of troubleshooting the hydraulic valve body was changed. We got the car ... read more »
- 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid: gas engine failed (1 complaints) So at just 35,688 miles I went to take this car to the park as I don't drive it as often as I would like, because it's short legroom causes leg/foot/nerve pain. And upon starting out, when the gas engine kicked in, it felt like a low rider car that bounces up and down. It was jerking around and just acting crazy. Never experienced anything like this before. When on electric motor, it was fine. Drove it around the block to see if it was just a rough start or something, but didn't help. Had vehicle towed to the ... read more »
- 2017 GMC Yukon: clear coat failure (3 complaints) YES IT IS ANNOYING. CAR BODY IS IN GOOD CONDITION AND NOW I HAVE TO RIDE AROUND WITH THIS PEELING. I HAVE A 2007 DENALI AND THE WHOLE CAR IS PEELING. GMC OWES ME. read more »
- 2026 Toyota Tundra: clunky (1 complaints) So trying to get into something bigger than the Tacoma, for more/different leg room, and this is due to peripheral neuropathy causing leg/foot pain, so I made the switch. The Tundra is a nice big truck, very big. But after a month, I traded it in and went back to a Tacoma. The biggest reason why? The transmission. The transmission was so clunky, I'd describe it as dangerous. It was very unpredictable upon starting. At times it was slow to start out, then at times it was quick to start out like a lighting bolt ... read more »
- 2026 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid: driver seat, seat back reclines (1 complaints) The driver seat, seatback, will recline if you leave the vehicle running and exit the vehicle. Seems once you leave bluetooth or key fob range, is when it happens. And it happens very often, most every time. I had another 2026 Tacoma Limited hybrid and it did the same thing. So it clearly isn't a "just me" or "just this one" situation, it has to be happening to others and hasn't been reported yet. The seat back will recline all the way back until it touches the rear lower seat ... read more »
