- 2012 Dodge Charger: noise from wheel well area when turning right (1 complaints) My apartment complex has a bunch of speed bumps, the roads have lots of potholes and I’ve hit quite a few deep potholes unintentionally so I’m sure this was a result of all that. Anyway, I have had issues with the ball joints and struts before and this sounded very similar as I could typically only hear the sound when on bumps so I didn’t think much of it and was just going to wait a while before taking it to the shop. - 2012 Dodge Charger: loud clanking behind the glove compartment (2 complaints) Randomly had a clicking noise (I believe it was as A/C is turned on/off) and it was accompanied by the driver side blowing cold air and the passenger side blowing hot air. Looked up a YouTube video and found that it’s typically one of the two actuators behind the glove box. So I took out my glove box, looked in there and could see the problem clearly. - 2024 Honda Prologue: cv axle (1 complaints) I am writing to formally present a critical and unresolved mechanical issue pertaining to my Honda vehicle, which has persisted since its acquisition in June 2024 despite multiple attempts to secure a definitive repair. - 2026 Volvo EX30: head unit/apple car play malfunction (3 complaints) Problem happened again. I have video. Despite demonstrating the issue the dealer and Volvo USA claim they cannot replicate, Smythe (Kevin Flanagan, Owner) says that Volvo will not address the issue further. I found out there was a class action lawsuit which explains why Volvo and Smythe are washing their hands of the situation. Terrible situation made even worse. - 2021 Jeep Gladiator: shut down/limp mode on highway (1 complaints) As in the previous complaint, This time I am towing my little boat behind me. Traveling on the interstate to go fishing. This time going 75 mile per hour. Starting an incline to go over an overpass the Jeep went into limp mode and shut down to 20 MPH. This time there is a fully loaded semi truck and trailer right on my tail. I have now where to go as this semi just about runs me over. This was an EXTREMELY close call. - 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid: sudden loss of power. rough idle (1 complaints) Loss of power incident 3 of 4 in the first 3000 miles. Rough idle intermittent. Sudden loss of power. Deemed to be a bad fuel rail sensor which also flooded the engine oil with fuel. Dealer states this probably caused the bad cat converter from incident number 2. - 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid: loss of power (1 complaints) "loss of power instance 4 inside 3000 miles" Instance 4 of sudden loss of power. This time the vehicle had to be towed to dealership where it now remains awaiting diagnosis. This instance was much worse than the previous 3 as an odd motor noise was also present this time and the vehicle was not able to be restarted and driven to dealership under its own power. - 2025 Volvo EX30: head unit/apple car play malfunction (7 complaints) After all this, I was DONE with the 2025 EX30. The dealer convinced me that although I had adequately demonstrated the Apple Car Play (ACP)/Head Unit issue for 2025 that 1) Volvo USA was not going to give me the full value for the car and 2) convinced me that the new 2026 EX30 had resolved the issues with ACP. - 2026 Volvo EX30: head unit/apple car play malfunction (3 complaints) I immediately experienced the same issues I had with the 2025 EX30. Sent videos and pictures with both my and my wife's phone attached to the Apple Car Play. The dealer (Smythe) kept the car for SIX weeks to try and replicate the issue. I will gladly provide those videos if needed. They say they could not and said they even had Volvo USA engineers come and try to replicate the issue. - 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid: sudden loss of power (2 complaints) Sudden loss of power a few days after new vehicle purchase. Limp to dealer. When I pulled into the dealer lot, I received an alert (email or blue link, I can not remember) that the vehicle had been finalized in my name. The vehicle was restarted and acted normal. Dealer states that since there were no codes and I had received that email; the car was left in dealer demo mode by accident. - 2022 Honda Pilot: the remote access control module is defective (1 complaints) The car cannot be parked more than a couple of hours without the battery draining. It locks the doors and sets of the alarm in the middle of the night. For how eye-wateringly expensive this car was, it is a real stress and aggravation. - 2012 Mazda MAZDA2: undercarriage rusts extremely fast (1 complaints) Anybody looking to buy this car, dont make the same mistake I did. Make sure that it isnt rusted, and make sure its already been undercoated. The rust on this car spreads incredibly quick, faster than any other car I've seen so far. I had to spend a season under my car grinding off rust with a grinder and wire wheel attachment. I can fix just about any other mechanical problem, but im left with this one.
