My Escape only has 60k miles on it. I got off work and needed to open my passenger door to get my work bag. Being a single mom, my kids ride in the back and the passenger seat is rarely used. I opened the door and it fell apart. The arm on the door just broke. Now I'm stuck with a hefty bill on a newer car. I am not sure how it broke, it just snapped halfway into opening. Ford told me this should be a recall ad they are seeing tons of it. Now I'm worried will my doors open going down the road with my kids?

I began to smell exhaust fumes inside the vehicle. This persisted for several days and I brought it in to the Ford Dealer. They found that there-??s an exhaust leak down at the oxygen sensor that doesn-??t seal against the catalytic converter. This is a very dangerous issue with this vehicle as it can kill the occupants of the vehicle while the car is being driven.

The car door on the drivers side opened and then refused to shut. It is a safety risk because it is unable to be operated and caused bruises when it swung shut. The dealer confirmed this is an ongoing issue but refused to cover costs to fix it because I am 473 miles out of the 36,000 mileage. No warnings were issued on the car or the ford app. No prior information was provided to me about this issue before it occurred.

The left-hand side on the door all automatically just stopped working properly. It makes a popping cracking noise when you open the door all the way. The car is a 2020 it is under 40,000 miles. The window does not roll down all the way due this malfunction. It-??s been going on for a while and the car dealership says that i am responsible for paying for it even though it-??s a defect. It should be under warranty from Ford. It-??s a mechanical issue. The door should open and close properly if I have never been in an accident. I have had many problems with this car since i bought it brand new such as getting new brakes at 1000 miles (they claim because the car was sitting there), a new reservoir because of the windshield wiper fluid was leaking, my headlamp needed to be fixed amongst other things. I feel like this car was a lemon that was sold to me.

I have a failure of the spot welds of the door check arm in my vehicles driver-side door (3-days ago on Monday, 03/18/24). It has broken off. This arm ensures the door safely closes. I sometimes have trouble closing / securing the door. And now the window will not roll down as of yesterday. I have contacted my Ford dealership & Ford customer service and both tell me cannot fix the problem because the do not know how to fix it yet & do not have the parts to fix it. They tell me that this is an "Advance Recall" notice (#23B56) that has not been publicly sent out yet and that I'll have to either pay some else to fix it or wait until the end of the 2nd quarter of 2024. If Ford does not know how to fix it OR have the parts to fix it, how is anyone else going to fix it? This is a safety & liability issue.

The turbo started leaking coolant internally making a few components fail in the motor. It has a really strong smell of burnt coolant. It started leaking about one year and half ago according to the service manger it was leaking before replacing the turbo and there was a failure to inform me about that issue. Due to this leak motor has to be replaced. Prior to the repair a warning lamp or any other notification appeared.

Replaced AWD Module at 49,134 miles - four months after purchasing from a Ford Dealer. It is obviously a faulty module with all the complaints online. Individuals shouldn't have to spend a fortune when Ford knows there is/was a problem with the part, and failed to recall it and perform its due diligence. Ford makes the money and individuals keep going into debt. They need to be held accountable. Multiple repairs shops are aware of the problem! The safety of drivers/passengers is at risk.

2020 Ford Escape. Front driver door made a lot of creaking noise, hard to open and close, couldn't roll window down because hinge had broken was loose in door. Discussed with Mel Hamilton Ford, Wichita KS, while it was there getting another issue addressed. Said it was not covered under warranty. Just a couple thousand over 36,000. Door popping and creaking began before the 36,000 mile warranty had expired. It was in and out of shop to get another issued figured out. Took to Lubber Ford in Cheney KS and they said the weld was broken took hinge out of door. I took to a body shop, said it can't be fixed needs entire door replaced for $3000. Ford knows it's a problem, they offered to pay $1200 of a $3,000 fix. Ford needs to replace door at full cost since they issued a Technical Service Bulletin in Sept. 2021. My Escape was still under warranty and had been at the dealership many many times for other issues and no one mentioned the door problem until I had it at Lubbers.

Driver's side door weld broke. Took to Ford dealership (Future Ford of Concord). Was told on first appointment it was a known issue and that Ford would not cover repair, but a door replacement was needed. Door was unable to be ordered per service tech and car was returned to me. Rescheduled second appointment so they could order the door. Car was with dealer for a week, door was not shipped to parts department because of memo stating door issue is known, but no recall has been issued. Called Ford's customer service line and was told this is a known issue and they are awaiting a recall in May or June, but don't know how to resolve the issue so can't issue the recall yet. Meanwhile, my door is in operable (window cannot go up and down) the hinge weld is broken and makes a severe popping sound. Additionally, when Future Ford looked at door they broke the aesthetic cover on the interior of the door and there is a huge bulge near the window where you can now see the interior of the door. Ford stated I need to wait for the recall and no parts will be sent to the dealer to fix.

The door welds broke and the driver door sounds like it is going to fall off. It affects how the door opens and closes. Also the evap system has caused my car to die out and have issues due to it being messed up. Ford did nothing when I told them just said it was because I needed to buy the most expensive gas. So I did so and it didn-??t make a difference.

- The check arm attachment point in the door assembly on the driver's side door. The spot welds holding the attachment to the door have broken. It is available for inspection at request. - It's a safety issue because the door no longer is able to catch itself presenting the possibility of the door being "ripped" from our hand if the wind would catch it potentially causing harm. Also, it's unknown whether the door will eventually be unable to latch presenting an even bigger problem if the door would open while traveling. - The local dealership is fully aware of the issue at hand reassuring me that this is indeed an issue. There is even a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) - SSM 50150 issued displaying the issue at hand. - The "fix" the dealership collision center has told me is a complete door replacement with a cost of $3,000 or more.

So there is multiple issues with my vehicle. First: I had the recall issue with the fuel injector "fixed" as the dealer stated. Now CO2 is leaking into my cabin when the car is parked and/ or when the remote start is activated. You can not breathe. I bought this car because I have 2 boys in car seats still. It is a serious hazard for anyone that breathes it in, especially kids. Second: after pumping gas it chugs. Like it will try to crank up but can't. I have had this car for less than a year. After the dealership "fixed" the fuel injector this issue started. When it finally starts the car smells strongly of gas. Third: there was a recall on a hose that had to do with the A/c system. It leaked onto wires and caused a shortage in my whole electrical system which in turn caused the vehicle to shut down on me while I was driving on the interstate. Fourth: The blind spot warning goes crazy when you are driving down a road with no one beside you. Fifth: The lane keeping assistant has completely stopped working. I have reset the system and it still will not work. Sixth: the radio, bluetooth, sound system does not work because of the water that leaked onto the wires from the A/C pipe that was recalled. Now my biggest issue is that the dealership that I purchased the vehicle from tried to charge me to have the recalls fixed. I had to take it to another dealership and afterwards was informed that, that specific dealership will claim to replace the recalls but not actually do the work so that way you have to come back and they can charge you for the work. Could you guys please look into this? Please call me at [XXX] in regards to the issues, so you can experience them first hand with me. Thank you so much for your time. Also if you google the problems everything i listed is a HUGE ISSUE with this vehicle but nothing is being done about it. * Spot Weld Joints failed on driver side door. The welds have failed. * Cannot open drivers side door due to to spot weld failure. * Dealer has seen the issue and said the only option is a new door. *Dealer has notified Ford Motor Company. I have a 5 year 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty that I purchased from Ford Motor Company. Ford told the dealer it is not a part failure so not covered under my warranty and the cost should fall back to the customer.. I was getting into my car to leave work on 2/15/2024 and when I opened the door I heard the loud popping/cracking sound.
