The vehicle experiences various fault codes: Blind spot system fault; cross traffic system fail; and reverse brake assist not available. In addition, air conditioning does not work, including right side passenger window and right side mirrors. Faults mainly occur after staring vehicle, but they have also occurred while driving. The ac failure occurs when starting vehicle and have occurred after first start in morning and at the end of the day after multiple starts. There is no identifiable pattern to failures. The vehicle was purchased in January and has 3254 miles. This is the third time the issue has occurred and Ford can not identify the issue. The system provides daily codes and the dealership and focused on the sensors, including replacing on, but the issue is not resolved. Incidents occurred on March 16, 2020, March 26, 2020, April 14, 2020, July 4, 2020, July 14 and July 17 2020.

Vehicle was parked. Vehicle locked into park and would not shift out of park or start, brake pedal was depressed fully. Dashboard message: Drive mode not available plus scrolled through every other mode or feature and indicated 'not available.' But lcd screen showed message 'turn off ignition.' Ignition was off. Vehicle thought ignition still on. Would not start. I disconnected negative terminal of battery and reconnected and car then started with no error or code messages.

On occasion when starting our 2020 Explorer St, the brakes do not work... resulting in the vehicle driving away. The only way to stop the vehicle, is to throw it back into park or neutral. This has occurred 1-2 times a month, and Ford has been reluctant to fix the issue. The vehicle was almost involved in a low-speed crash, due to Ford inability to fix the problem. We have attempted to get a buyback, but they have not resolved it as of now.

I just pulled out from a parking lot into traffic and there was a loud clunk and warning lights appeared on the dash. One said "service advancetrac" and the other said "4WD fault service required." The vehicle would not shift out of low gear and would not accelerate over 25mph. Then, several other warning lights came on, such as "pre-collision assist not available." I took the vehicle to the dealership the next day and they were unable to repair/resolve the issue.

The vehicle was driving on a local highway when the message 'service charge system now'. the battery icon appeared briefly on the dashboard. I continued driving and the same message reappeared every 5 minutes. The dealer told me they did not recognize the message, and to bring the vehicle in for service soon. They ran a 'diagnostic ' and determined it needed a new alternator. The vehicle is seven months old and has less than 15,000 miles. It is still in for service as the dealer did not have a replacement alternator in stock.

Since we have purchased the SUV it has on multiple occasions flashed cross traffic system fault, blind spot system fault, ac shuts off, and the windows will not roll down. Have taken to the dealership twice, once they charged the battery, the last time they reset a module. It did it again today so we will have to take it back. We have had the problem happen while moving but today we were stationary when it happened.

False engine coolant temperature alarm issue - vehicle believes it is overheating when it isn't. this results in the loss of engine power, where the vehicle is unable to drive faster than 50mph and is extremely slow to accelerate causing a major safety hazard. This has occurred on my Explorer St model 3 different times all while traveling at highway speeds. The second time while I was trying to merge onto the freeway and nearly collided with a semi truck since I lost all ability to accelerate. All times the vehicle was taken to Ford dealership for repair. My vehicle has currently been waiting for repair for over 30 days & only has 13,000 miles on it.

When trying to move the vehicle out of park, either reverse or drive the vehicle jerks into gear hard and then stalls. Tried multiple times to get the vehicle out of the drive way starts up no issue, no check engine light yet keeps stalling. This is new owned for 3 days with less than 200 miles on it.

The vehicle is randomly braking for no unknown reason. Almost like if I was driving and put on emergency brake. It mostly does it while in reverse when there is literally nothing around me. There is an option and it has still does it with option off. It has nearly caused 1 accident when I was in my sons car pool line at school. Otherwise it has caused extreme anxiety because I don't know when it will happen. The brake assist fault is also on, and dealer cannot find fix to that either. The dealer (capital Ford raleigh) was aware of sensor issues, as well as faults the day I took delivery on vehicle. They knowingly sold it to us anyways. I took vehicle to service dept the very day after we took delivery. There is no fix for these dangerous issues, and I am forced to keep driving with my kids in this dangerous vehicle.
