Truck was recalled for downshifting while driving. Truck was taken to classic Ford in shelby, nc where the recall problem was taken care of. Lately I have been having problems with truck where truck will not shift out of 1st gear. Have to stop, turn off ignition and truck works fine. Today while driving, speedometer starts going crazy and truck downshifts to 1st gear, luckily I was only going 35 mph. I would hate to think what would happen if I was on interstate going 65 mph. Called classic Ford to schedule service, cannot see me until next week. When I described what was going on, they said they haven't heard of this problem. Have been researching on internet and I am not the only one having this problem.

Re: 19N01 transmission molded leadframe. The recalls that Ford did provide for my vehicle only included software updates that did not prevent the issue. When this failed my truck went from travelling 45 mph in 6th gear to suddenly shifting to 1st gear. I had my family in the vehicle and I was barely able to avoid having an accident. The issue was not covered by for because I was outside of the warranty coverage. This is unaccceptable because the software updates provided did not prevent this from happening.

Had recall done last year for speed sensor automatically down shifting. Starting June 16th 2020 the vehicle started hard shifting between 3rd and 4th gear. It jerks the trucks it up shifts. Seems like there would be some warranty on parts from a recall. I?M at about 154000 miles, so we were told we just missed the warranty. Being the sensor was replaced seems like there should be some kind of warranty at least for that part.

Going 70 mph on the high way my truck is down shifting to a lower gear then looses power the RPM and the speedometer starts going hay wire jumping back and forth. Doing 40 mph it does the same thing and doesn't want to pick up speed. Took it to a Ford dealership and they reprogrammed the brain now the mph don't work no fuel notice it's blank.

I had recently bought a 2013 F150 have owned it for almost 6 months now it started with it's like I can be driving and it's like the transmission acts funny slows down and then a wrench symbol will show up on the dash then I pull over and shut it off then back on it's ok. Coming home yesterday it's like it downshifted and then the rpms raise to 5000 and I was on the interstate passing a vehicle and I could have caused a wreck something wrong with the transmission very dangerous I don't know if it's been recalled or not I just would like to know though actually I will find out if it's been recalled or not and fixed.

I have already had the safety recall 19S07 ' 6R80 performed on my 2013 F150 svt raptor for the sudden deceleration issues. This week I was traveling at highway speed and the truck suddenly downshifted from 6th gear to 1st gear causing my trucks rear-end to start coming around. Luckily I was able to maintain control of the truck. I took it to the dealership and that saw the downshift codes and attempted to reapply the recall. Now they tell me though the actions and near accident are inline with the recall, the code P0961 and therefore it is not covered by the recall. This is an immediate safety issue and the safety recall 19S07 ' 6R80 recall should be extended to cover this code.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at 60 mph, the gear down shifted from sixth gear down to third, back up a few gears then back down, without warning and caused consumer to lose control temporarily. The failure occurred on two occasions. The vehicle was taken to the dealer llc chapman Ford located at llc 3951 columbia ave, columbia, pa 17512 where it was diagnosed that the wire harness melted which needed replacement along with the PCM. In addition, the dealer informed that there might be a possibility that the transmission would have been damaged as well but wont be determined until further use of the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 54,000.

In 2019 I took my Ford truck into the dealer for 2 separate recalls related to the drivetrain. In 2020, I returned to the dealership with drivetrain issues after my vehicle suddenly downshifted and I lost drivetrain power. I was able to turn the vehicle off and back on to get it to crossroads Ford of fuquay. The service advisor, [xxx], informed me that there were damages to parts of the drivetrain, and I would be responsible for the repairs. When I asked if the damages were a product of the sudden downshifting recall notice, she said yes. I contacted the recall department and started case # [xxx]- to document the issue. The representative from the recall department informed me that Ford would not be responsible for the damages. I tried explaining the to the representative that the damages should fall under the recall because the vehicle continued to have downshift issues after bringing it into have the recall repaired at the dealership in 2019. The representative told me that because my vehicle was at the present time over the warranty mileage of 150,000 mi., the vehicle was not eligible for repairs. I explained that it was eligible when I brought it in for warranty repair in 2019, but the representative turned me to the crossroads Ford of fuquay dealership which sold me the vehicle. The rep said it would be considered "workmanship" issues. After speaking with the dealership, they dropped my bill by ~$300, but I still had to pay over $1500 for repairs that resulted from the downshifting. In November 2019, my vehicle started shifting inappropriately and I took it to the dealership to get it fixed. The dealership said it was a recall issue. The recall was for a lead frame and a reprogramming in the PCM. This repair was done for the two recall issues. My vehicle recently began doing the exact same thing, shifting up and down without warning while I was driving down the main road in my town. I brought the vehicle back to the dealership and they in formed me of a different PCM reprogramming available for that recall. The next day the dealership stated it was a different issue with transmission and it was sending a different code which is not part of the recall. Now the dealership is saying I will need a replacement or rebuilt transmission, and it is not covered by the recall.

Oil and radiator fluid leaks causing engine smoking and nauseating odor when heater turned on while engine cold or cold exterior temps. Complete loss of engine and drive power randomly lasting 15-60secs, then all numbers ie: Gas milage, speed, mileage become dashes, speedometer quits working, on highways and city street. Pulling over shutting off and restart will reset until next random episode. Rough jerks and occasionally a bang with jerks (feel like it comes from the axels) usually at low speeds. More often in parking lots but in traffic jams on highways. Once transmission recall complete it ran fantastic for a week and a half. Now it's worse than ever and engine light comes on for a day and then goes off.

I took the truck in for the recall this is what they did: Performed recall 19S07 performed PCM update later calibration and cleared dtcs. The truck is still doing the same thing I took it back and they said the engine light has to turn on before they can do anything. The engine light never turns on. When the truck is in motion I was merging onto the freeway and I hit the accelerator to speed up it downshift to first. So does the engine light have to turn on before they can check it? when it happens I have to pull over turn off the truck wait a bit and restart and it seems to work for a while.
