In November 2019 my truck had a recall from Ford (Recall #19S07) applied. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2019/RCMN-19V075-2645.pdf and also this recall https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10162411-0001.pdf On August 5th, 16th, 20th, 25th, 27th I have experienced the following condition: Hard unexpected down shift, in one incident while traveling in 6th gear at highway speed the transmission down shifted to 1 gear, locking up the rear wheels. (this also caused me to swerve off of the road) In addition the electronic dash board went dark and displaced a wrench. The error was corrected by cycling the power off and back on. I did contact Ford about this issue and they said the extend warranty from 19N01 was only to 150,000 miles and at the time of the call to Ford the milage on the truck was 151K.

I was driving on the freeway going 65mph when the transmission started switching gears it went from 6 gear to 1st gear in a matter of 1 second, luckily no one was behind me or else I would-??ve got hit. I took it to ford to get recall unexpected Transmission downshift fixed, but it didn-??t fix anything it actually got worse. Now the speed gauges stop working out of no where and it gets stuck in whatever gear I am driving in when this happens 2 codes turn on P0720 output shaft speed sensor and P0721output shaft speed range/performance. My truck had no issues before this recall. My life is in danger when I-??m driving this truck I have called the dealership but I get the same answer every time that there-??s nothing else they can do.

Every day the transmission jumps to 1st gear and stays there. We have to pull over and put it in park or neutral then try to drive again. Most of the times it stays in 1st gear for 5 or 6 times of pulling over before it will return to normal. This happens regardless of speed at time it happens. It displays the 'wrench' on the screen, air bag light comes on and speedometer stops working. We are deathly afraid of even getting on a highway. We have read the same problem on the internet happening to hundreds of people, yet there is no recall notice yet. Why are there no recalls if we are all having the EXACT same thing. Some people reported their lead frame harness was replaced and fixed the problem and some reprogrammed the control module.

The contact coasted the vehicle to shoulder and wait for a few minutes before restarting the vehicle and the vehicle resumed normal functionality. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the transmission molded lead frame failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the warranty had expired. The contact was informed that the information she saw regarding the failure was for a field service action and not a recall. The field service action number was: 19N01. Transmission began acting a little funny - hesitating, slowing down a little and seemingly re-engaging, before coming to a stop. When accelerating from stopped, crossing a 2-lane state route, orange wrench icon flashed on the driver display and launched in 3rd gear. Went into limp mode and made it home, ranging from 3rd gear to 5th gear for that duration. Occurred two other times, both after about 15-20 minutes of the truck running. Research of similar problem and error codes that were read point to a bad molded lead frame, but I am outside of Ford's "extended warranty" mileage, so I have not spent the money to have it diagnosed at a Ford location. No symptoms prior to the problem. Truck is parked since reading about 6th-to-1st gear downshifts on the highway.

From Ford's customer satisfaction web, shows no recalls, but shows 19N01 -?" Transmission Molded Leadframe Extended Coverage -?" 2011-2013 Ford F-150. Symptoms are speedometer will go to 0. Many reported cases the transmission will downshift from 6th gear into 3rd. My case was intermittent... I'd get speedometer 0mph loss of power general solution was to stop vehicle, stop engine restart. Depending on highway conditions this was at times only uncomfortable. My last event was awkward, it occurred multiple times within a less than 10 mile drive. Multiple stops/restarts the engine accelerated to 40-50mph while I did not have my foot on the accelerator. I decided to take to local transmission shop, where they were told by multiple suppliers he could not purchase the part because there was a service recall. I used the Ford Customer satisfaction web site, researched this, to find my truck exceeded the mileage for Ford to service this. So I was in a catch 22, Ford would not fix under recall, and would not sell the part to a service facility. I called the satisfaction line, explained the problem they transferred me to Ford corp, and told me to explain to executive for service. I listened to the voice mail identifying to leave a message and they would get back to me in 48 business hours. I called two times 7/2 - expecting a call back by 7/6, the again 7/7. I have received no call back. Initially my goal was simply to have them clear the way to purchase the molded leadframe or to sell this to the transmission shop so I could have my truck repaired. During this time I investigated other's that had this problem, with some very disturbing results. Truck violently decelerating by downshifting from 6th at highwayspeeds to 3rd. On occasion I haul my tractor, I was considering what happened if towing a trailer and a sudden downshift" What if the roads were wet" Clearly this is a safety issue, where Ford believes at over 150k miles they are much safer to drive.

On 5/24/21 I started to pull out onto a two lane, 55mph road with a trailer behind me. The truck stalled and I was stuck across both lanes and could have been hit broadside from either direction. I was told by our local Ford dealer that there is a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB-15-0137) for the fuse holder for the fuel pump. I researched online and this is a very common problem. I had a similar issue occur in March of 2021 where my truck would not start in a driveway and the Ford dealer did not find the problem and it seemed to have fixed itself. The fuse holder is apparently not designed for the amount of current in the circuit. This is a very serious issue. I could have been seriously injured or killed that day. This problem does not lead to any warning lamps, messages, other symptoms or error codes.

Vehicle will intermittently not shift. I can be driving normally and stop a light. When I accelerate, the vehicle will intermittently ot shift gears. This can happen on on-ramps, or anytime vehicle speed is reduced. The recall for this did not include the plant.Y vehicle was manufactured, so I am on the hook for repairs should I decide to fix it.

I have intermittently noticed for the past 10 months the transmission will be shifted to low gear (1st or 2nd) and is unable to shift into the higher gears. The automatic transmission is in drive when this happens. It occurs while I am driving, and I have to manually shift it back into drive with the manual gear up buttons on gear shifter. It happens when I am in motion driving in the city, and I have not seen it happen on the highway at high speeds yet. The symptoms are described in detail in Ford recall 19S07, but my pickup doesn't qualify for the recall.

Driving on the road at 60mpg the truck downshifted I to 1st gear from 6th. Then the speedometer displayed zero. And wrench light came on. I took to dealer they performed Ford update and I drove no more than 20 miles and it did the same just went to first from 6th. Both times I was lucky there were no cars behind me and road conditions were dry otherwise it could of been a very bad accident.

This 2013 F150 Ford truck will downshift at 50 mph from 6th gear to first gera and the truch rear wheels lock up causing the truck to go from 50mph to 20mph and I felt a violent shake. I took the truck to ocala Ford and they reprogrammed the computer, however this did not help. I shut key off restart and problem temporaraly goes away. This will cause a catastrophic accedent. This has occured several times. Please advise Ford Motor Company to recall and repair. This occured on highway 41 in dunnellon Florida. If this is not corrected, this will cause death or serious injury. Thanks. While traveling at a speed of 80 mph on a major highway, the vehicle stalled due to the malfunction of the lead frame conductor/valve body which is a recalled part. With the help of a truck driver that saw me swerve due to the downshift, I was able to pull over. I had my two daughters (ages 8 & 4) in the vehicle with me.
