I received notice of recall to schedule repair (software) upgrade. I contacted the dealer several times to only be told to keep calling back to see if they have received the software upgrade from Ford. They said there is no problem with continuing to drive the truck until the problem is repaired.

I engaged 4X4 low to pull some one out of the mud, heard a loud clunk after moving forward a few feet. Pulled out the car when I put it back into neutral selected 2H at a slight roll the truck lost movement. The pop up box went away I put it in drive would not move, tried reverse same thing. The speedometer worked and the gear selection worked said I even shifted into second gear. I had to shift back to 4L same thing shifted into 4H started moving then back to 2H. Have not even tried 4L since truck only had 61000 miles

I was on my way to work as a firefighter for my shift when with no warning my truck went from high gear straight down to first gear then to park causing sudden stop and a minor accident on I275 cincinnatti then coming home it instantly went into park on us route 50 causing my truck to go out of control and swerved over into the oncoming lane almost hitting someone head on then could not move the truck as it was stuck in park sitting sideways between both lanes I finally was able to get it to move again but it barely moved as it was in high gear stuck there. I was able to barely remove it from the road and had to have a tow truck retrieve it and bring it to my house this is a real safety issue that Ford is not in a hurry to fix on a recall issue on the transmissions therefore leaving me without a truck or vehicle to drive almost had a serious crash twice now. Plus my transmission is completely out of my truck now no movement for any loading etc.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. While driving approximately 53 mph, the transmission erroneously downshifted from fifth to first gear, causing the vehicle to abruptly slow down. Also, while driving various speeds, the transmission would rapidly shift between fourth and third gears, and fifth and sixth gears, which caused the vehicle to jerk. The vehicle was taken to ferrario Ford (2472 corning rd, elmira, NY), but the cause of the failures could not be determined. The manufacturer was also notified. The failure mileage was 52,000.

Hello, my name is [xxx] and I just recently purchased a 2013 Ford F-150 with 98,500 miles 3 weeks ago. I had just gotten home from work and I had to take my girlfriend to meet someone. As we were pulling out the driveway I noticed that on the gear indicator in the gauge cluster it showed I was in 5th gear, I tried to accelerate a little thinking it was a bug in the cluster but it was actually in 5th gear. I got to the end of the driveway and shut the truck off. I proceeded to start the truck back up and pull out of the driveway because everything had seemed like it went back to normal. About 5 minutes down the road as I was going 60 mph the truck locked up the rear tires and skidded into the opposite lane, luckily no one was approaching me. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

The dealership's first available appointment to address the recall was two weeks out. After trying to get an earlier appointment as the transmission had shifted gears while we were towing a trailer down a hill almost causing us to crash. The receptionist then told us that they actually cant make the correction and that we would be receiving a letter in the mail and refused to take our vehicle in.

Ford has known about the leadframe issue on the transmissions for a very long time. Their fix, besides extending the warranty, is to modify the software. However, they've now delayed that fix until an expected October date for my 2013 F-150. That is totally unacceptable. They should be required to replace the leadframe now.

My truck is affected by an open recall and Ford will not fix it. This has already cost almost $500, completely out of my own pocket. The truck downshifted from 6th gear to 1st while I was diving on the highway at 55 mph. This caused a transmission line to completely sheer at the connection. There is currently a recall for this exact problem but the Ford dealership told me they were informed in am email from Ford not top flash the update for 2013 models because it wasn't working. In response, the dealership fixed the line and charged me full price. Now the service wrench is flashing again.

May 2019 received an additional notice from Ford Motor Co. Customer satisfaction program notice #19N01, received saferty recall NHTSA 19V-075/srn 19S07. Seems to me that once Ford Motor Co decides to affect the safety recall, they should also check out this new problem as well while the vehicle is at the dealership. Ford knows this is going to be an issue, so instead of offering to extend warranty to 150,000 miles or until Nov 30, 2019. They should automatically inform dealerships to inspect and perform corrective measures to maintain their "quality one" matrix as they profess.

While driving on 6/2/2019 at about 40 miles per hour I suddenly felt like I had been hit in the rear end by a truck. The transmission down shifting also caused the failure of the U-joint on the truck. When taking it to my local repair shop there was also metal found in the bottom of the transmission pan now resulting in a need to replace or repair the transmission at considerable expense $4000+. in looking up to see if there are any recalls I found what had happened. 'Ford recall number: 19S07 'recall description: On your vehicle, an intermittent failure of the output speed sensor (oss) in the transmission may result in an unintended downshift to first gear. 'risk to safety: An unintended downshift into first gear can cause an abrupt wheel speed reduction, which could cause the rear tires to slide until the vehicle speed slows down. This condition could result in a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash. Along with this recall was this field service action items ' 'fsa title: Transmission molded leadframe extended coverage 'field service action number: 19N01 however I can not find anything out about getting the repairs that were caused by this to be covered.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. While driving 70 mph, the vehicle downshifted into first gear without warning and the speedometer was not functioning properly. The contact stated that the vehicle seized and the engine shut off. The contact was able to restart the vehicle, but it continued to downshift while driving to park on the side of the road. The vehicle was taken to laird noller Ford topeka (located at 2245 sw topeka blvd, topeka, ks 66611) where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be repaired. The following day, the contact received a recall notification for NHTSA campaign number: 19V075000 (power train). The contact called the dealer and notified them of the letter. The vehicle was repaired for the recall, but the failure recurred on May 9, 2019. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer who stated that they needed to follow protocol to complete the manufacturer recall, including a new wiring harness and lead casting. The vehicle was not repaired again. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was 128,000.

I have file with you about this before and it has been a recall for this problem but the Ford company has not taken care of this problem nor have they taken care of a second recall for another problem with this truck both of these problems together have almost cause 3 very near accidents for me the most recent I was pulling a trailer and entering and on ramp to interstate I-94 on entering as normal I tried to exhilarate to highway speed when all of a sudden all power to the drive train stopped and the truck went into a natural mode (like pushing the clutch in on a standard shift transmission) at that point I was in the drive lane right side but 2 semis one passing the other were barrowing down on me I had to cut sharply to the right and off the shoulder of the highway to keep from being hit buy one of the semi's the Ford company stated they would have the parts and the soft wear to fix this problem by the 2nd quarter of 2019 it is now the second half and the problem continues to get worse it now clucks when shifting up from 3 to 4 and sometimes down shifting and when taken your foot off the gas pedal for a few seconds then then push on the gas pedal again the trans will clunk again when I test drove this truck before I bought it I told them there was something wrong with the drivetrain and they told me there was nothing wrong with it that I needed to learn how to drive a six speed transmission the thing about that and they don't know me before I retired I was the floor and operations manager for the community garage of battle creek mich. I have had this truck in to them 2 different times and 2 different dealerships plus I.ve taken it in 3 other times but after making and appointment and telling them I would need a loner which the warranty covers then when I get there no loner plus I would have to pay a $100 fee on the warranty for the thing they never fixed (19V-075)

I have stopped driving my 2013 Ford F150 and can't believe they have not been pulled of the road. They are unsafe to everyone around them. My vehicle has downshifted on 6 occasions ranging from 6th gear and 4th gear down to 1st gear. My vehicle locked up rear wheels until I was able to get down to 5mph. Had to pull off the road and turn off vehicle and it worked again. I am disappointed in Ford and NHTSA for allowing this to happen. My Ford F150 has sat in my driveway for over a month now. What does it going to take to have this fix?
