While in drive my truck will downshift from 3rd gear to first without warning and the speedometer will show zero while im still rolling around 20-30mph. I have to pull over and turn off my truck in order to reset my truck. God forbid I hope this doesn't even happen when im on the highway with my family, Ford will have 5 lives depending on their electronics not glitching out. While this happens there is no codes showing up.

I recieved a recall letter for recall number 19S07 from Ford in March 2019. I have since contacted Ford numerous times to fix this very dangerous condition. They have continued to say they can not help me. At least once a week my truck will down shift into first gear without warning. I have almost caused an accident when this occurs at highway speed. This is a very dangerous condition and Ford needs to find a fix for this immediately before someone gets seriously hurt. 2013 Ford F-50 XLT with 3.5 engine

Downshifts into 1st... still...after the recall appointment. Reset, but continues and we have only had the truck a short time. It has almost caused a few wrecks and one with a trailer pulling machinery. We bought this truck to have a newer truck to haul our horses as well, and cannot do that. This needs to be taken care of! we have all Ford F 150's in our family and hate to have to change to something else if this cannot be resolved. A new transmission/"?? is it going to take a death to fix what is wrong??" truck is always in motion and at various times when this happens. No warning, can be fine for days then happens all of a sudden. Street, highway, doesn't matter. And now it's not wanting to come back down after shifting back up from 1st. Not sure what to do now. Can't sell in good conscious to someone, so it sits. Beautiful truck, just bad tranny. Oh, and also, the truck thinks the rear door is open and it's not, which keeps us from being able to lock it as well as the lights remain on for a bit after shutting off (using the battery). Not sure if this has a recall or not.

Vehicle has loud ticking noise when cold started, seemed to be coming from passenger side catalytic converter. Took vehicle to dealer for warranty emission repair, dealer stated turbo had gone bad and wiped out turbo. Vehicle has 63,000 miles just outside of the power train warranty, dealer declined assistance and wanted $2500 to repair turbo and would then replace the catalytic converter. Vehicle is very well maintained have all records, if turbo were to fail while driving it could have possibly destroyed the engine stated the dealer. Why is an essential part of the engine failing at such low mileage? vehicle also has intermittent shifting problem around 40-45mph seems to shift erratically, dealer says transmission lead frame could be issue or ECM/PCM programming, they have not done any of those repairs yet.

Transmission recall for model year 2011-2013 Ford F-150. The transmission in my 2013 F150 would down shift unexpectedly almost stopping abruptly. It happened twice but afterwards, on numerous occasions it would up shift without warning leaving the vehicle unable to accelerate basically stalled in the street. Twice it happened while driving on the highway at speeds above 45 mph, leaving me only able to coast onto the shoulder. The vehicle was diagnosed at waldorf Ford and I was told that it needed a new speed sensor located on the lead frame of the trans. I had the work completed but later realized that there's a recall on the vehicle for the same problem. I was told that my truck was not included but was not informed why. It's with in the model year range, diagnosed by Ford with exact same problem and symptoms but for whatever reason not included. I've contacted Ford on a number of occasions. If you could assist in resolving this issue it would be greatly appreciated.

I was traveling North-bound on an interstate at 70 mph when the vehicle suddenly down-shifted to 1st gear. As a result, the rear tires locked up and skidded across the pavement until a slower speed was reached. I was able to maintain control of the vehicle and no injuries/accidents resulted from the occurrence.

"output speed sensor" the recall was put out on Feb 12th 2019 and at this point they still don't know when the software will be available to correct the issue. This truck is our daily driver and I am traveling with our child - they say the recall could cause the transmission to drop from 6th gear to 1st gear - this does not make me feel safe. We are going on 3 months now - I called today and they still have no idea when the software will be available.

Driving on a two-lane highway, vehicle shifted into first gear at 35 - 40 mph resulting in a sudden jolt, speedometer went to zero. After the jolt, vehicle shifted back up into third gear and speedometer started working. This has happened at least three times, always at a similar speed and when coasting (no throttle, no brake applied). Recent software recall has been done and the problem persists.

2013 Ford F-150 ecoboost with 62000 miles. Currently giving cel code P0016. This is the timing chain stretch issue. Makes it difficult to accelerate to pass a vehicle. Should not have this issue with 62K miles. Now that I am 2K miles out of power train warranty it is not covered even though I had it to dealer for service and nothing was ever mentioned with this issue. I have had the rattle for some time.

While driving the 2013 Ford 150 ecoboost, it suddenly lost power, the wrench light came on.... tried accelerating but was not able to...had to find a way to move out of the street before something happened and have someone crash the back....horrible experience..after finding a place to park, turned the truck off...when turned it back on was working fine again while driving the 2013 Ford F150 ecoboost. It suddently lost power, the wrench light came on, I tried to accelerate but was not able to. I had to pull over to the side of the road, turn off the truck and turn it back on. When I turned it back on it was working fine again. This has happened multiple times during the week. And Ford is no help unless the check engine light comes on. It's is super unsafe to drive, yet Ford says to keep driving the vehicle.
