The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. While driving 70 mph, the vehicle downshifted into first gear without warning and the speedometer was not functioning properly. The contact stated that the vehicle seized and the engine shut off. The contact was able to restart the vehicle, but it continued to downshift while driving to park on the side of the road. The vehicle was taken to laird noller Ford topeka (located at 2245 sw topeka blvd, topeka, ks 66611) where it was diagnosed that the transmission needed to be repaired. The following day, the contact received a recall notification for NHTSA campaign number: 19V075000 (power train). The contact called the dealer and notified them of the letter. The vehicle was repaired for the recall, but the failure recurred on May 9, 2019. The vehicle was towed back to the dealer who stated that they needed to follow protocol to complete the manufacturer recall, including a new wiring harness and lead casting. The vehicle was not repaired again. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures. The failure mileage was 128,000.

I have file with you about this before and it has been a recall for this problem but the Ford company has not taken care of this problem nor have they taken care of a second recall for another problem with this truck both of these problems together have almost cause 3 very near accidents for me the most recent I was pulling a trailer and entering and on ramp to interstate I-94 on entering as normal I tried to exhilarate to highway speed when all of a sudden all power to the drive train stopped and the truck went into a natural mode (like pushing the clutch in on a standard shift transmission) at that point I was in the drive lane right side but 2 semis one passing the other were barrowing down on me I had to cut sharply to the right and off the shoulder of the highway to keep from being hit buy one of the semi's the Ford company stated they would have the parts and the soft wear to fix this problem by the 2nd quarter of 2019 it is now the second half and the problem continues to get worse it now clucks when shifting up from 3 to 4 and sometimes down shifting and when taken your foot off the gas pedal for a few seconds then then push on the gas pedal again the trans will clunk again when I test drove this truck before I bought it I told them there was something wrong with the drivetrain and they told me there was nothing wrong with it that I needed to learn how to drive a six speed transmission the thing about that and they don't know me before I retired I was the floor and operations manager for the community garage of battle creek mich. I have had this truck in to them 2 different times and 2 different dealerships plus I.ve taken it in 3 other times but after making and appointment and telling them I would need a loner which the warranty covers then when I get there no loner plus I would have to pay a $100 fee on the warranty for the thing they never fixed (19V-075)

I have stopped driving my 2013 Ford F150 and can't believe they have not been pulled of the road. They are unsafe to everyone around them. My vehicle has downshifted on 6 occasions ranging from 6th gear and 4th gear down to 1st gear. My vehicle locked up rear wheels until I was able to get down to 5mph. Had to pull off the road and turn off vehicle and it worked again. I am disappointed in Ford and NHTSA for allowing this to happen. My Ford F150 has sat in my driveway for over a month now. What does it going to take to have this fix?

My Ford dealer updated the power train: Automatic transmission control module as per safety recall (NHTSA #19V075000). My transmission still is shifting erratically, especially hard shifting from 5th to 4th. Dealer told me that the software update for this recall did not work as expected for the 2013 model F-150 and Ford has not issued an new software update to resolve.

Relating to the Ford 19S07 recall. The truck will shift into 1st gear while driving on the highway causing the rear tires to lock up and a sudden unexpected rapid deceleration and temporary loss of control of the vehicle. The recall was announced in February of 2019 and it is now May 31st of 2019 and no remedy has been provided for the 3.5L ecoboost F150's. this is a massive saftey hazard that could cause severe injury or death.

Receives a couple notices from Ford/autonation stating to schedule my truck for repairs. I did so and then dealership tells me that there is no fix as of yet. So what happens now just wait for truck to shift into reverse or park by itself" why even send me these notices if they cannot fix them and waste my time by scheduling when they don't have a software yet to fix it? will I be notified again to get this fix? am I supposed to call every day to see if the software is in? do they provide me a loaner truck in the meantime until they get the software" what is a consumer supposed to do, just drive it until hopefully they get the software and or have a wreck.

Traveling highway at approx. 60 mph when truck downshifted to lower gear causing rear wheels to jump until truck could be stopped. Pulled to side of road and shut vehicle off. After brief period, started truck and was able to drive awhile normally. Truck did the same thing again and I pulled to side of road and shut vehicle off again. Let stand for awhile, then started vehicle and was able to get home. Took the vehicle immediately to Ford dealership and they replaced the "throttle body assembly as possible cause". my truck had just recently gone out of warranty period per dealership, and I had to pay for the repair. I have not had the problem since this fix (approximately 3 years ago) however I am taking it in for recall to update software specifically for failure of oss. My truck is a 2013 F150 4X4 crew cab with echo boost 3.5L engine.

After the last recall for the programming of the trans where it could downshift into first gear at any speed the trans shifts really hard into second gear from first gear I just thought it would have to relearn it's self from the last recap but it keeps happening and sometimes it's a pretty hard shift and I recently had the trans fully serviced so I know it's not a maintenance issue

My 2013 Ford unexpectedly downshift into first gear while the vehicle was in motion. I was traveling 40-45 mph. No accident or injuries. This also happened last yea, I was unaware of a recall or issue. I am worried about transmission damage, the current recall doesn't cover transmission service or inspection if you experiences this downshift. Until the recall software is resolved I will not drive my truck on the highway or high speeds as I'm worried it will happen again.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. While driving approximately 45 mph, the transmission downshifted into first gear on its own, the rear wheels seized, and there was a loss of power steering. The vehicle veered to the right into a ditch and then veered back onto the road towards oncoming traffic. There was no crash or damage. The vehicle was driven to the contact's residence. Poage Ford (1110 us-61 bus, bowling green, mo 63334) was contacted by phone and the contact was informed that the parts were not available to perform the recall repair for NHTSA campaign number: 19V075000 (power train). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 47,423. Consumer stated after the downshift it seemed as if all electrical power also failed. Car was traded in.

I received my Ford recall notice on the need to reprogram power train module on or about April 1st 2019. My first instance of my 2013 F150 stx supercab, going into sudden downshift mode and then limp mode (blue wrench signal) occurred around April 12, 2019. I was driving at about 30 miles an hour on a city street when my truck when the truck downshifted by itself and the blue wrench light appeared. My truck went into limp mode and I was unable to drive. After pulling over to the side of the street, I turned off my truck, waited a few minutes and then the issue resolved itself. I took my vehicle into the Ford dealership on April 18, 2019 where recall 19S07 6R80 (reprogram power train module) work was completed. On May 17, 2019, while driving about 30 miles an hour on a city street (without notice or cause) my truck again went into downshift mode, limp mode and the blue wrench light came on. Same as the first instance, I pulled over to the side of the street, turned off my truck, waited a few minutes and when I turned on the truck again the issue was resolved. It was clear that this issue was electrical and no mechanical and the original recall work completed by the dealership did not resolve the issue. On 05/19/2019, I again took my truck to the Ford dealership where this time the module lead frame was replaced after code P0722 was identified. I want the record to reflect that the first recall, reprogramming of the power train module did not work, and left me at risk of a second downshifting incident occurring. My truck had a second incident and after returning to the dealership a second time the leadframe was replaced. I also want to note that the dealership's data that the original recall work was completed on 04/26/2019 is inaccurate. The original recall work was performed by the dealership on 04/18/2019.

When driving the vehicle it downshifts into first gear causing the vehicle to go into "limp mode." The first time this happened we had it towed and then discovered there had been a recall issued. Since then we have had multiple breakdowns of varying degrees. The last down shift almost caused an accident as the back tires completely locked up while driving approximately 45 miles per hour. An independent mechanic has declared the truck unsafe to drive, but our local Ford dealership has stated they can not fix it yet and that the drivability of the vehicle is not their problem.

Vehicle shifted into 1st gear while I was going 60mph. Recall was issued customer satisfaction program 19N01 and dealership said there is a hold on fixing the 2013. I asked if I paid for repair out of pocket if they would fix it and was told that no that can't until hold is lifted sometime in 2nd quarter. I have three kids that are with me a lot and I'm concerned about this happening on the highway with a semi behind me. Was I given the correct info on a hold for this repair?
