We're we driving about 70mph. The truck starts violently shaking, we're were barely able to steer to the shoulder of the highway. We put it in park check all the tires and undercarriage, seeing no visible issues we resume driving. About 2 miles down the road going about 60 mph the violent shaking occurs AGAIN. We slowed down to about 30 mph and the truck snaps out of it. There was absolutely nothing on the road that could have caused this. Truck is regularly serviced and barely has 21000 miles. It's an occasional driver not daily used.

I loaned my F250 to my son to move his furnishings from his apartment in Chicago back to Iowa. Once he got on the interstate, the truck began to shake violently causing him to feel he would lose control of the vehicle. The only way to stop it was to pull over and stop the vehicle. This could have resulted in severe injury or worse. I am beyond furious, upset and am going to escalate this known problem in any way I can including media watchdogs, social media, etc. After a short search on the web, I find out it is a known defect but nothing has been done by Ford or your organization. My truck had 12,000 miles on it-??nothing should be worn out and in no way should there have been a safety danger to my son by driving it. I would like communication from your organization immediately as Ford tells me it is up to you to issue a recall and you have not done so. This is unconscionable in every possible way.

Twice in the last two years I've experienced what is being called the "death wobble". A very violent shaking of the steering wheel as well as the vehicle after driving over some unforseen divet in the road at highway speeds. The first time was in the summer of 2020 and the second time just yesterday, 12-5-22. Both occured on 65 Hwy. Once on the east side of Sedalia and the later on the west side of Sedalia. This is going to get some one killed.

This is a turbo diesel F250 Ford Truck which caught on fire and was completely destroyed while on the interstate in VA. Our safely was very much at risk as the truck was fully engulfed in flames within minutes. We were able to pull off the side of the highway and get ourselves and the dog out of the cabin just before it would have been impossible to do so. Complete total loss; we do not know at this time what the cause of the fire was; there were no warning lamps, messages on the dash to alert us. The driver happened to notice some smoke coming from the hood and quickly pulled over to check to see what might be going on. Within seconds, the hood started to buckle as the fire raged under the hood and we were fortunate to be able to have pulled over as quickly as we did. We lost everything inside the truck including all the camping gear, etc that was in the bed. The front of our trailer that we were pulling was also heavily damaged. Very very frightening event and we are so thankful that we were able to escape without harm, other than some scratches, minor cuts as we frantically tried to help stop the flames with an extinguisher we had onboard our trailer we were pulling.

My wife and I went 3 hours south to go fishing on the way home on the interstate the vehicle started to shake violently and we had to pull over to the shoulder. Looked around and couldn't see anything wring. We headed back on the highway and about 15 miles down the road it started again, again stopped. We finally got home safely. Since April the truck hasn't gone over 35 miles per hour until this past Saturday. I had to run to Peoria which is about 45 mins away. On the way home the wobbling started again, Thais time I was with my 9 year old daughter. I slowed down to 50-52 and made it safely home. I have told my wife and children no one is driving the truck on the highway until we figure out what is going on.

We had previously experienced severe shaking when driving at freeway speeds. We took the pickup to a dealership and the replaced the drag link at no cost and we paid to have tie rod ends replaced which they said would fix the issue. We took our first road trip in the vehicle this weekend and the problem is rven more frequent and severe. We almost had 3 accidents because the truck is very difficult to steer once the vibration starts.

While driving on the freeway at 75 miles an hour the whole truck started shaking violently! I had to back out of it to get it to stop. I continue driving at 65 miles an hour and I hit a small bump in the road and it again started shaking violently! It started approximately 30 minutes ago and has happened three more time!

Driver door is freezing and will not latch, having to hold the door while driving to keep from flying open. Recall done at dealership, two years ago. Johnson City Ford, Johnson City, TN. Dealership is stating that there is no coverage on those repairs after the recall "repair". The dealership failed to correct recall the first time for same issue.

Driving on highway went over bridge expansion joint and steering wheel and front tires began shaking severely had to pull over almost causing accident. Now it happens more often on any bump. Have heard this is called the death wobble and see how this could be EXTREMELY dangerous for my family. Don-??t understand with so many complaints that nothing has been required of FORD to address and fix this super unsafe problem. I hope by putting this on the record that if something happened, there would be documentation of my complaint to hold Ford responsible. A response from you would be appreciated. Thank you.

On 05/13/2020 truck was in an auto accident and declared total loss on NICB. Crash report doesn't reflect injuries. Speed limit on the highway says 60, on Google maps. Also, the officer's description doesn't make sense. There are 3 units, including trailer. Other vehicle is unit 3.... I also don't understand how the person in the 3rd unit did not have injuries. TXDOT Crash ID: 17689202.1 / 2020186795 Case ID: 2020-1548 USDOT: 1086178 Truck # 327 When I contacted the tow company, was informed there is no history of ever towing the truck! Owner of truck listed was not correct. Actual owner was Vertical Limit Construction which has two branches of the name. (TX) Vertical Limit Construction LLC Vertical Limit Construction, LLC (MN) Interstate, Utility Construction, Cellular Tower, End to End, Turnkey Services. Parent: QualTek Services. Trailer info DID list the company as owner, however. When I did a search, there has been repairs and history doesn't show of the truck ever being in an accident. There is an incomplete recall on Ford website but none on NHTSA. Vertical Limit Construction was listed as terminated April 2019 and dissolved July 2020.

I have noticed my F250 which I bought brand new and just noticed this issue had just over 29,000 miles on it that the steering was getting loose. A few thousand miles ago I noticed when I drove over a bump in road or pothole the steering shakes some, not normal. Today I have almost 32,000 miles on it, steering very loose, 19% steering turn does not respond and when I hit a bump it scares me as the steering wheel shakes very violently up and down and steers left and right and swerves into next lane on its own. It is very bad now and I am scared to drive it. It is my daily driver ad I have no other choice. I work for the Department of Defense US ARMY TACOM. This truck should be recalled and repaired immediately before somebody gets seriously hurt or worse, dies from this steering issue. Please let me know how you can assist.

2018 Ford F-250 diesel 4 wheel drive - about 25,000 miles on it I experienced my first "death wobble" I had gone around a curve on a narrow road (probably 45 mph) and hit a bump just right and there it went, scared the snot out of me, hit the brakes, it stopped, I thought that was weird. Didn't happen again for a long time. Then a few months later I was driving down a 4 lane busy road with a semi-truck next to me and in the 20 miles I drive on that road twice daily (between 55-65 miles an hour), it did it 4 times. Then nothing. I don't feel safe in this vehicle B/C I never know when it is going to happen. It was taken to an independent shop for inspection 3/19/20, all suspension and joints, and everything else Ford is suggestion could be an issue has been inspected and found to not be loose or broken. New tires are being put on it this weekend with another alignment. At this point after all of that if it happens again I will be trading this vehicle. Everything I see says Ford knows aobut it, has known about it, and is either unwilling to fix it, or doesn't know how to fix it. There needs to be a major recall on all the parts in question immediately to make us gullible idiots that bought their pieces of junk at least feel like we can use them safely! I am just now hearing that this is a problem with this family of trucks, if I had know this was this big of an issue I wouldn't have bought it and that is what Ford is counting on and that is wrong! I do not feel safe taking my family anywhere in this vehicle, it's the only one I have and I am 1,800 miles from any family, if I have to go home for an emergency I will have to rent a vehicle at this point B/C I can't imagine running down an interstate at 85mph and this happen!

Over the period of a couple of months I've had 3 different occasions that when I'm going over 60 and hit any kind of bump or uneven patch of road my truck starts violently shaking causing me to lose control until my vehicle is back down under 45 miles per hour. The last time it happen I was doing 55 and sped up a little to get around another truck before coming up on an exit ramp, I sped up to 60 as I was changing lanes to go around and it started shaking the entire truck extremely rough like it would if you had a blowout, it threw me over into the left side lane while on us hwy 287 under hwy 69 in the tunnel where I nearly hit the other truck, luckily the drive realized something was wrong and moved over onto the shoulder avoiding me. I was able to regain control and make it home. Looking back now after the fact I realize this problem had been happening for some time however there was no way for me to really know. I had felt smaller trembles but thought it was just the road or me not realizing what everything was leading up to. I'm a 5ft 2-3in tall female and this truck was my dream car that I worked really hard to pay for. I called Ford last year about having it fixed they said warranty wouldn't cover it. Also the "cooling" went out in my seat within the first 6 months, Ford also refused to fix that and said it wasn't under my warranty, which btw I bought the extended warranty. My motherboard in my computer or screen in the dash also went out however they did repair this but they tried to charge my for a plastic peice their technician broke and in which I had to point out when I picked up and nearly had to throw a temper to get them to repair the damage they caused. I haven't been very happy, now I no longer feel safe in my vehicle. Help please!

We have experienced what others described as the death wobble. While driving on highway and coming upon rough or uneven road, more often on a curve, the truck begins to shake violently and does not seem to recover until you come to complete stop. This is happened at speeds of 45 miles an hour and twice while traveling 75 on the highway. This was very frightening and dangerous even for others. We had to pull over when we could do so safely and come to a complete stop this is very difficult as one time we were hauling a camper and it began on an overpass with no shoulder. All recommended and regular service has been performed by Ford dealership. This issue began before our warranty was up and Ford dealership now claims it is not covered. We are not happy owners of a 69K lemon.

Driving on interstate hwy at approximately 70mph when I drove over a small bump. Immediately the steering wheel and entire front end of truck started shaking violently.
