Ford performed their service bulletin repair to this vehicle last week. The repair actually made the "death wobble" problem worse. It happens when the brakes are applied at 60 mph on up, and at lower speeds when one tire goes over a bump or depression in the roadway surface. Here is a video of the problem after the Ford factory repair was done. This vehicle is stock and has the tires, wheels and suspension that came from the factory. This vehicle is dangerous to operate. Driving on a 3 lane highway in the left lane approximate speed was 70mph. I went over a small pothole and the truck started shaking uncontrolably for about 40 seconds. I was able to slow down but was almost hit from behind as the road was crowded. When I slowed down to 40 miles an hour the shaking stopped. The steering wheel was shaking and the truck felt like it was going to come apart.

I was driving down interstate at 70 mph. The truck began to shake uncontrollably. I had to stop each time to resolve the issue. The truck had less than 6000 miles on it with no modifications. Extremely dangerous. This will kill someone. I usually use the truck to tow a 7000lb rv and cant imagine what would happen if I had been towing at the time. I contacted my local Ford dealer and they acted as if it wasn't a big deal. This happened 3 times within a 20 mile distance. I was terrified to continue with my trip and was nervous the entire trip. Please address this. I hear it is a common problem.

Me and my wife were driving down the highway 70-80 mph, and the truck began to wobble side to side, and I thought it was a flat tire. We slowed down to make sure everything was ok, and nothing was wrong. I started back on the highway, and about 10 minutes later we hit a bump going roughly 75 mph, and the truck again started wobbling, I felt like I had no control of the vehicle. I just purchased this truck with 18,862 miles on it, and currently there is 19,541 miles on the odometer. I am going to take it to the dealership because I still have the manufacture warranty on the vehicle, but I feel very intimidated to drive it, and my wife refuses to drive the truck after this incident. All I have been able to see is that this is a result of the Ford "death wobble". I do not know what components of the vehicle are causing this, but it is very frustrating to spend the amount of money that we did, only to find it being a possible death trap.

Driving at 45 mph and hit change in pavement from concrete to raised asphalt and front end/steering began to shake violently and did not stop until reached 20 mph. Has happened again 3 more times at speeds around 70 mph on paved 3 lane highway with no control until reaching speed of 20 mph extremely hard to control vehicle and very very dangerous truck has under 30,000 miles on it. In dealership service department currently waiting to pick it up to find out what parts they have replaced. This is a very dangerous problem that Ford needs to correct before people are hurt or killed

Driving down the highway at 70mph, I hit a rough patch on highway and suddenly the steering wheel started vibrating vigorously, whole truck was shaking and pulling to the left. I struggled to control it and began to slow down, at around 45-50mph the shaking stopped and regained control of the steering. Truck continue to have excessive shaking when hitting small bumps on highway. This happened on the day I picked up the used truck from the dealership as I was driving home, truck approximately 37,700 miles. The next day on my way to work, I hit a small bump on the highway going 72mph and steering wheel began vibrating, but was not a vigorous as day prior.

I believe I have experienced the known 'death wobble'. when going 65 mph or more and hit a bump with a turn I'd lose control and my truck would feel like my front tires had blown or shocks had failed. I'd slow down and pull over and the truck looked fine. At lower speeds it does not seem to happen. I've experienced it twice now. All Ford has said is I need a new steering stabilizer, that is on back order. They claim that will ' fix ' the problem.

My vehicle experienced three "death wobble" occurrences. All within a few hundred miles of each other. Starting at around 22,000 miles.(November 2019) extreme steering wheel oscillation and uncontrollable lane shifts. These occurred after hitting a pot hole or a seam in the road. All of my occurrences were at highway speed. The only remedy is to immediately brake hard and attempt to move to the shoulder. I contacted my dealer and the truck was given a new steering stabilizer per the most current tsb. I paid to have the truck re-aligned. (alignment was out due to the "death wobble" jarring the front end so hard) 4000 miles after this service, I started to experience "bump steer", humps in the road transfer to the steering wheel excessively. The truck is also pulling hard to the right. Now at 8000 miles past the service the "bump steer" is even worse. There is noticeable play in the steering wheel and you must work to keep the truck in your lane. Having someone move the steering wheel while visually inspecting the steering components showed play in multiple linkages. Tie rod ends and track bar heim joint both are worn out at less than 31,000 miles. Unacceptable, and not safe. The steering stabilizer is a band-aide to push me out of my bumper to bumper warranty. It is on the edge of failing and sending the truck back into more "death wobble". this truck has only been serviced by Ford. All recommended maintenance has been performed. Including tire rotations. It is my opinion that steering components fail prematurely. The new steering stabilizer has not remedied the problem with my truck. It will be going back to the dealer for another round of service. It will need at a minimum a new track bar, tie rod ends and an alignment. Ill be filing a reimbursement claim directly with Ford if I am asked to pay for the alignment again this round.

1/31/2020 driving approx 65 mph on interstate I hit a small undulation and the front of my vehicle began to oscillate violently. It was almost impossible to maintain grip on wheel. I was unable to immediately slow or pull over due to traffic and guard rails. I was in the process of making a right merge to another interstate and this was simply impossible. After clearing the guard rail I was able to ease to shoulder and slow to approx 20 mph. This stopped the violent shaking and I regained control. Less than 1/2 mi later I hit another normal undulation at approx 50 mph and same thing occurred, I was traveling in a straight line and slowed to 25 mph in center lane of interstate to regain control. I immediately took to the Ford dealership which denied ever hearing of anything like this, however conducting my own research this was clearly the "death wobble". this is a new vehicle w/ low milage and w/O exception every non Ford specialist I have spoken with is very familiar with this. This is clearly a design flaw and if it hasn't already, will result in serious if not fatal accident. Given all the info available on the web including a class action suit, Ford's denial is simply a lie. I have 3 children and this truck is my primary source of transportation, after experiencing the "death wobble" no parent of sound mind would ever put children in this vehicle w/O this issue being certifiably resolved. My vehicle has no after mkt parts and and very low milage. I am still well with my warranty

"death wobble" over the past 5 months (it is now 1/30/2020) the entire front end of the vehicle shakes violently and uncontrollably at a high rate of speed, typically highway speeds, ranging anywhere from 50-80 mph. Although, it has happened at a speed of about 40-45. It happens out of nowhere with no apparent provocation, I.e., hitting a pothole, turning, hitting the brakes, etc. It usually happens when driving in a straight line and nothing seems to make it stop. I've tried hitting the brakes, slamming the brakes, continuing to hold my speed steady, accelerating slightly, and praying to god to make it stop. Nothing works, it just eventually stops but not before traffic clears all around me. It is noticeable from outside the vehicle as I have seen drivers hit the brakes and fall back in traffic around me. The violent shaking makes it difficult to keep the vehicle steady or in my lane of traffic. The violent shaking makes the vehicle bounce all over the road. It makes it impossible to hold the steering wheel steady or straight. It is terrifying and unnerving. I believe it is going to kill me or someone else. I haul trailers with heavy equipment almost daily. Many times I am on the highway or on city streets. If it continues to happen, the damage will be costly and may kill innocent people, including myself. I am afraid to think what will happen if these unexpected, violent shakes happen while I am hauling heavy equipment.

Sometimes when I hit a bump in the road the steering wheel will start shaking violently and become uncontrollable. I have been back to the dealer 3 times and it is still doing it. They acknowledge the problem but dont know what else to try. I have also contacted Ford, they were fast to respond to email for a while but have not responded in the last month. I have several videos of this happening, my wife is scared to drive the truck at all. It has 13000 miles. I have saved all email communication with Ford, and all my documents from when I took it in for the service work. They replaced several parts on the front end, they would help for a while but the death wobble would return in less than 1000 miles. This truck is not safe.

While driving on a congested four lane interstate highway I experienced a steering malfunction that was horrifying. I purchased my 2019 F250 new in early November 2018. There have been no modifications to the original equipment. The truck had approximately 21000 miles at the time of the first event which occurred on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2020. As previously stated, I was driving in the far left lane of a congested interstate highway in the metropolitan St.louis Missouri area. I was driving under the posted speed limit due to the volume of vehicles on the road at that time. I was in the far left lane due having no plans to exit the interstate for many miles and to avoid all of the vehicles switching lanes to exit the interstate. The condition of the pavement did not raise any obvious concerns but we have had some freeze/thaw weather this winter season. I would characterize/associate the onset of the event with a moderate bump in the pavement, possibly a raised joint from the recent freeze/thaw weather conditions. The contact with the pavement defect initiated a steering bump to the left towards a concrete retaining wall at which time I responded by increasing my grip on the steering wheel more firmly to bring the vehicle back to the center of the far left lane in which I had been travelling. The bump steering event spontaneously progressed to a violent front end wobble that was very intimidating to myself and my adult son who was riding in the front passenger seat. The wobble appeared to be associated with the front left side wheel but the entire front end was oscillating extremely violently. I was able to apply the right turn signal and navigate through the three congested lanes of traffic onto the shoulder and then an exit ramp at which time the event ceased once the vehicle slowed significantly prior to a stop. I experienced a second similar event sat, 2/02/20.

This vehicle has a dangerous steering control issue when going over slight bumps in the street at city speeds, and when applying the brakes moderately at highway speed. This is a known engineering defect in the Ford F-250. The vehicle goes out of control with violent shaking of the steering wheel each time this occurs, and the problem is consistent. Ford seems to be addressing the problem with a steering dampener, which just masks the problem. This 2019 F-250 already has four safety recalls, in addition to this very dangerous condition, which has not had a recall. As a law enforcement officer and police administrator, I simply cannot believe that the federal government has not forced Ford to address this dangerous issue.

While driving approximately 50 to 60 mph, after hitting a slight indent or bump in the road the front end of the truck and steering wheel begins shaking violently and uncontrollably. I had to apply maximum braking and bring the truck to a low speed for the shaking to stop and gain control. The first incident started when the truck had around 21,000 miles on it. It has happened 4 different times on highways, express ways & regular roads & different speeds. The steering of the truck has become very loose due to the violent shaking. It seems like the episodes are happening more frequently. I have contacted our local Ford dealers about the issue. The first dealer told me they were not aware of any issues. The second dealer said that they were aware of the issue and were having to replace steering / stabilizer rods.

Death wobble. This truck has 12000 miles on it and it starts shaking violently to the point of losing control at high speeds on highway. Very concerned as it is brand new! took to Ford dealer and they said steering stabilizer part is backordered. What I have read of other people having same problem is parts do not fix the problem. A major defect in an expensive brand new truck. This problem started happening at about 8000 miles and is getting worse to the point it will do it about every 30 miles depending on highway irregularity.
