On 8/27/22 Driving on the highway at a speed of approximately 70 mph coming of a bridge and going over transition caused the front of the truck to shake violently. With the wheels shaking and wobbling violently it was difficult to steer. This continued until I came to a complete stop on the side of the highway. This happened AGAIN on 9/4/22 with same situation on return trip home. Truck shook violently with tires wobbling until I pulled over to a complete stop. Very scary and dangerous! There was no warning prior or after incident. Truck had just been in for routine service with tire rotation on 8/16/22. Truck to be inspected by dealership on 9/14/22

While driving my children to school on a two lane road (55) the front end started shaking wildly. I lost control of the vehicle and ran oncoming traffic off the road when I crossed the double yellow line. My vehicle is stock with just barely 17k miles. Very scary.

At approximately 30000 mi the truck began shaking violently whenever it hit a decent bump. mainly when traveling over 60mph. This is extreme shaking what most call a death wobble. I took the vehicle to the dealer and they replaced the steering stabilizer which seemed to help for awhile. The truck now has 73000 miles on it and shakes so bad i don't feel safe driving it. I have replaced the steering stabilizer again and the problem still persists. At this point I feel there are probably multiple issues with the steering and suspension due to the shaking.

I was driving on the Interstate on 8-23-2022 at approximately 1:00pm. As I crossed a bridge deck, the vehicle started shaking violently. It was hard to hold onto the steering wheel. The problem stopped when I pulled onto the shoulder and slowed way down. I called Beartooth Ford in Columbus, MT and reported the issue. They were very aware of what the issue was. They advised me that there was a recall that would fix it. I stopped at their business and they recorded the VIN and mileage of my vehicle. I do have a live video of the incident happening a second time but this system won-€™t allow me to attach it.

I purchased this vehicle new in 2020. I've driven the vehicle 33,000 miles and the well-documented "death wobble" has happened a couple of dozen times (reference Ford's CSP 20N04) - relatively minor incidents until lately. On August 13, 2022 I drove over a railroad crossing at 55 MPH (per the speed limit and traffic flow) and the truck went into a violent steering oscillation that required an emergency stop - luckily the semi behind me had sufficient distance and wherewithal to avoid hitting me. My passenger was so shaken that we had to stop for 10 minutes - he didn't want to continue in the truck. The truck is current at the local Ford Dealer and they are telling me that 'since they can't reproduce the issue they will not take the recommended actions outlined in 20N04. The severity of the "death wobble" renders the vehicle useless to me because I don't want my family to die. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request" Vehicle is available for inspection. Steering linkage is failing and/or there is a fundamental engineering flaw. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? Vehicle became undrivable when the "death wobble" occurred. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Dealer has not been able to reproduce the issue because it happens relatively infrequently. But, when it happens, it renders the vehicle undriveable. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The dealer has inspected the vehicle. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear" No.

My 2019 Ford F250 has experienced the "death wobble" 3 times. All three times I have almost crashed and put my life and the life of others at risk. Each time the truck starts to violently shake and I have to hold on to the steering wheel with all my power so I don't crash. I have taken my truck back to the ford dealership multiple times but they said they do not know how to fix it. I also took it to a specialist to fix and pay over $4,000 but that still didn't work. Now I can not drive the truck for my safety. There were no prior incidents or symptoms before this started.

Steering linkage damper is faulty. Multiple incidents of steering violently shaking after hitting a pothole. The vehicle is uncontrollable while the steering is shaking. The last incident when the death wobble occurred I could not maintain my lane of traffic, when I finally got the truck under control I was in the lane of oncoming traffic. There is no warning when this problems occurs

We were traveling on the interstate at 70 MPH, hit a bump in the road and all of a sudden the truck began to shake causing the truck and attached camper to sway uncontrollable. We swerved and were able to get the truck slowed down and to the left shoulder of the road. It was very scary for my family. Luckily we were able to control the truck and not cause an accident. This has happened one other time while camper was attached. The truck is going to the dealership Friday August 19th for the current recall Manufacturer Recall Number22S09 NHTSA Recall Number22v087. The dealership is also going to replace a steering dampener

While towing my 15,500 GVWR fifth wheel at approximately 60 mph on the 210 fwy in a construction zone I encountered some very rough asphalt repairs just on the drivers side of the lane. I had a, close to the lane, K-rail on the passenger side and one lane next to me on the drivers side with a K-rail on the drivers side of that lane. When I hit the rough pavement my wheels started to oscillate violently back and forth and pulled me about 3 feet into the next lane on the drivers side. Luckily there was not anyone in the lane at the time. I forced the wheel to the right and straightened out when I got back in the right lane but the "Death Wobble" continued so I slowed down to about 35 mph and the wobbling finally stopped. The rest of the 3 day trip I stayed at or below 55 mph to be safe. I could have been much worse had there been someone in the next lane or if it had pulled me to the right into the K-rail. Someone could have been injured or killed. I took the truck to Upland ford in California and they said that the steering stabilizer, both drag links and the track bar needed to be replaced but that the stabilizer was on back order. I also took it to Sunrise Ford in Fontana California, where I bought the truck, and they confirmed that I needed the exact same things plus they included that the tie rods needed to be replaced. I have about 22,200 miles on the truck and it is out of the factory warranty. I have an extended warranty with Portfolio Protection and Sunrise Ford had 2 different inspectors from Portfolio come out and inspect the front suspension to authorize repairs. They would only authorize replacing one of the drag links. Before this incident I did feel that the steering had, slowly over time, started to feel a little loose when I hit smaller bumps. There were no warning lamps that came on. I am afraid to drive the truck especially pulling my fifth wheel trailer.

My truck has the death wobble. This is the 3rd time I have tried to fix it. Now, my local Ford dealership says they cannot duplicate the problem. This is very dangerous. At any given time, I am going to have a wreck. It is not an -€œif-€, but a -€œwhen-€. I have no choice but to drive my truck like it is. I had to get Ford manufacturer-€™s to help me last year.

Truck shakes violently when encountering uneven pavement at speeds in excess of 55mph. Difficult to keep the vehicle in the road when this happens and speed must be reduced to <35mph for it to subside. Unsafe activity to need your take when traveling on highway. Please consider issuing a recall for this -€˜death wobble-€™ before someone is hurt or killed.

I bought my 2019 F250 Super Duty diesel 4x4 brand new in December 2019. My truck has had and continues to have very, very serious returning "Death Wobble" issues. At least 10 times in 3 years! The dealership has already replaced the steering "damper" once and now it is time to replace it again, yes a second time. The truck only has 31000 miles. My wife, for the first time, experienced this "Death Wobble" on last weeks trip to Louisiana. It happened 3 times in the course of 500 miles. She was scared half to death! And rightly so as every time it happens it scares me to because of the very, very violent shaking of the truck. And it makes me wonder if I can regain control without causing an accident or crashing!!!! You cannot imagine how bad this "Death Wobble is unless you experience it happening yourself. I think you should have FORD take a serious look at this issue and figure something out before someone dies via "Death Wobbling Ford Trucks"!!! I am sure that I'm not alone with this issue with with Ford truck "Death Wobble"!!!!!! Please help!

When I-€™m driving the truck and I am at speeds 50 mph + and hit a pothole or crack in the road I get the death wobble. The steering wheel will violently shake in my hands and the whole front end too. It is difficult to control. I have to slow down the truck and even come to a complete stop to get it to stop. It-€™s been so bad at times I hear the front tires start chirping like I-€™m doing a hopping burnout.

Truck has what is now commonly called the "Death Wobble". This is, unfortunately, a common problem with F250 Super Duty trucks. This is a very dangerous loss of control at typical highway speeds. Uncontrollable shaking after hitting minor roadway bumps at speed. The fact that Ford is fully aware of the issue and has not done a recall is hard to believe. Do people have to die on the road because Ford won't recognize this issue? My truck has only 22,000 miles on it but is off warranty as 3 years have passed since date of purchase, low miles due to Covid! I have been told by Ford that some some of the trucks are covered but, unfortunately, mine is not. I guess only the broken ones aren't covered...

Driving on interstate and all of a sudden the truck began to shake uncontrollably, so much so I could not hold the wheel. I some how managed not to hit anyone or anything and got it off on to the side of the road. I cut the tuck off, checked to see if anything look broke or if I blew out both front tires. All appeared to be in order.
