Brake system failed, lost all hydraulic function. Found recalls for this issue but Ford is denying there was a recall. Because my car was not built within the timeframe. The recall # 19S54 is exactly what my car is doing and they deny a problem, yet when I took the car to smithtown Ford for service the told me the ABS hcu needs to be replaced at a cost of $1300 I need Ford to take responsibility for this repair

I understand there is a recall on most 2010 Ford Fusion brake control module. Unfortunately my VIN does not show up in this recall and the Ford dealership said this failure is exactly the same as the other ones they have seen. Once the dealership completed the repair, now they say the master cylinder is now also leaking which they agreed it was not when the car was brought in.

The contact owns a 2010 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that he had received a recall notice for NHTSA recall number:19V904000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The contact called the manufacturer and was informed that the parts were unavailable and that he would receive a second notice once the parts became available. The contact then took the vehicle to farrow-ward Ford Inc. (1524 city ave N, ripley, ms 38663) where he was given the same information as the manufacturer. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the brake pedal would depress to the floor board and the ABS warning light would illuminate on the instrument panel. One day while driving at 45 mph, the contact attempted to depress his brake pedal as the vehicle in front of him began to make a right turn. The vehicle did not stop despite applying his brake pedal. The contact veered the vehicle off the road, hit a few curbs which caused the vehicle to spin out. The vehicle finally came to a halt after he hit a flower bed. A police report was filed. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. The contact sustained pain to his lower back, both shoulder blades and his neck. The contact did not seek medical attention. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it remained in their possession. The contact went back to the dealer where he was informed that he could have had the vehicle repaired out of pocket and received a reimbursement through the manufacturer. The contact informed the dealer that he had been informed by both them and the manufacturer that the parts were unavailable. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed him to contact his insurance company. The manufacturer offered no further assistance. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 215,000.

I received a recall letter on my car concerning the ABS was defected. I contacted a customer service rep after getting the letter to let them know my car is experiencing these issues. Sometimes when you go to apply the brake it would go all the way to the floor board and feel as though it accelerates. They told me I would be getting a second letter when the parts were available and to take it to a dealership to be repaired. Last night I was driving alone in the car on hwy 72 in corinth Ms. I seen the car in front of me give a turn signal to turn right. I went to put on the brake and the brakes did the same thing again. To avoid hitting the person I had to leave the highway which resulted me hitting 3 curbs and finally the car came to a stop in a flower bed at the rib shack restaurant. As I now from the incident I am suffering from lower back pain, shoulder and neck pain. My car was damaged from wreck. Driver side front rim and back rim damaged beyond repair, both tires cut, wheel covers damaged driver side of front bumper fell to the ground. A city cop was nice enough to pop it back in place but he said it would not stay because the clips were broken. Their was another part a bracket or something broke off from underneath the car. I had to leave my car in corinth ms because it was not driveable. This brake default could had ended my life last night or the innocent lady that was turning in front of me. Very thankful to be alive but Ford Motor Company should be reliable for all the damages to my car and get the parts here to replace the ABS. I am disappointed with Ford Motor Company. I am to the point I just wish they would buy the car back and salvaged it. * (recall related incident)

I was driving my 2010ford Fusion, stopped at the usps to mail a package. After returning to my car, I started my Ford Fusion to find that the ABS warning light, the brakes warning light and the tracking warning light all on my dashboard simultaneously. I was afraid to drive my car. I called the mechanic I use and he told me that Ford recalled cars for this problem. I called mike patton Ford and was told that my car was one not recalled for. This. I towed my carhome. I believe Ford should help fixthis problem.

Vehicle does not immediately stop when brake is applied. Pedal travels to floor before eventually braking. Happens intermittently and without warning. Similar to vehicle conduct covered under recall 19S54; however, my VIN is not included as part of that recall notice. This has happened numerous times while the vehicle is in motion and on local/state roadways. I believe this issue is a result of the faulty hcu, as with other vehicle model/years similar to mine. Ford will not address issue since my VIN is not covered under the already-issued safety recall.

2010 Ford Fusion hybrid. I was leaving work. Exiting a warehouse down a ramp when I went to break and my breaks failed. Problem resolved when I turned the car off and back on. A year later, while driving down the street breaks went out again as I tried to break at a traffic stop at a main intersection. I had the car serviced at Ford in March, they found no mechanical problems. A few days ago as I was leaving my house, I reversed to get out of my parking then I went to drive and immediately my breaks went out a third time, this time the ABS light, break light, traction lights and "service advancetrac lights came on the dash" every time I was required to use the emergency break to slow and park the car. This is a horrible experience that could have ended taking my life or someone else's. the car is currently at Ford in fairfield California where I was just notified the repair cost is $3,400..which I don't have. The diagnostics by Ford have been inconsistent. I was notified that there is a recall for this problem for the year and model of my car but when I enter the VIN number in your system it says there are no recalls. Please help!

Today my daughter was driving to work when several cars in front of her slammed on their brakes to stop. My daughter attempted to stop and stated that she pushed on the pedal hard and it went to the floor. My daughter was unable to stop the vehicle and struck the rear of the vehicle in front of her. This problem has been going on intermittently with this vehicle per other family drivers.

The car he had sold me was not fix or ready to be sold. He basically scammed me out my money he sold me a lemon car. Its drivable yes but its not. The dealer keep saying its alot of work to trade my car in. I told him about everything thats wrong with the car. I had to pay for the back breaks, wheel alignment, new tires and all that together was 1000$. now I still have to fix the axle which is 500 plus my car is smoking cause alot of safety hazards like almost causing car accidents because the smoking from the car is heavy. He also gave me false information about the car. Its been 2 recalls and been in a accident. He lied and said he did my registration but he did not and also said the car came with plate and it did not! I cant do payments on the car regular now because the car is basically breaking down. Im trying to get my full entire refund back the 500$ down payment plus the $980 back from the payments. I got scammed. The car hesitates alot and when im driving the car starts swerving and also will shake. The breaks squeaky again and I have to keep putting oil in everyday. He told me he took $1000 off of the car because thats the loan that his banking gave me but he did not! my balance on paying for this car been $5400 left for the longest and I been paying for this car like im suppose to, on time. I got the car from kings auto llc

NHTSA recall#:19V904 is way overdue. Initial Ford notice said that parts would be available 1st quarter 2020. It's now 3rd quarter 2020. I believe that Ford is hoping these older cars "just go away".

My 2010 Fusion is experiencing the sticking ABS valve that is covered under NHTSA identifier 19V904 but the production date is outside of the production date range for Ford recall # 19S54. I am experiencing the loss of pedal resistance associated with the sticking ABS valve but my vehicle is not covered by the recall. The latest instance happened as I turned and slowed as I crossed a railroad track, triggering an ABS event. This safety issue is being experienced by many later production dates than covered.

While driving both on city streets and on highway the brakes have failed with the pedal going to the floor and no slowing of the vehicle. After each of these incidents the system rebuilds pressure and functions as it should for a while. The problem has been identified as a faulty valve in the system. This has been reported to Ford Motor Company with no resolution offered. Further research shows the company is aware of this problem and has a reference number of 19S54 for the problem but refuses to fix the problem.

The contact owns a 2010 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while driving at 35 mph, without warning the vehicle in front slammed on there brake which caused the contact to slam on his brake pedal however, the brake pedal failed to engage properly, extending the braking distance. The contact steered the vehicle to the right to prevent crashing into the vehicle in front. The vehicle was taken to hinder Ford, Inc (505 S philadelphia blvd, aberdeen, md 21001) where it was diagnosed and it was determined that the anti-lock brakes module was defective and needed to be replaced. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 19V904000 (service brakes, hydraulic) as a possible solution to the failure however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000. The VIN was not available.

As I drive and have to hit my brakes hard to avoid crashing or hitting someone/object, my brakes will then go to the floor before fully braking again. This has been the case for several months now, where my brakes have not been working properly and results in extended brake pedal travel.

I was driving normally in my 2010 Ford Fusion on highway 31 and came up on a stop light, went to press my brakes and the pedal goes to the floor. This has been the case for the past couple of days, I did my research and found that the 2010 Fusion was recalled and the master cylinder needing to be replaced. My car does not qualify for the recall as it wasn't built in the time frame of getting that recall. I almost ran the red light and thought I wasn't going to be able to stop in time. I can't drive my car as it is not safe for the road!

The vehicle was taken to a mechanic when the breaks stopped working properly. The mechanic found a problem with the hydraulic control unit with the breaks. The problem matched exactly with recall number 19S54, which was made for the 2010 Ford Fusion. However, because the vehicle is a 2010 Ford Fusion hybrid the recall did not apply. Since it is the same issue as the original recall, the Ford Fusion hybrid should be added to the recall list.

Brake pedal goes to the floor with weak braking power. Hydraulic control unit seems bad like hundreds of others report. VIN does not match the recall for 2010-2013 fusin\Mercury cars. It however is same problem. Brake pads, flush and check of brake booster tests fine.

Received a letter from Ford in January 2020 stating that there was a recall on my 2010 Ford Fusion. A valve in the hydraulic control unit the of the anti-lock braking may be stuck open. It's been six months and still this has not yet been resolved! not a very comfortable situation to be driving a car that could have a problem with the brakes! a year ago we lost the power steering on my car..almost resulting in an accident...reported this to NHTSA and to Ford...never heard back from either...and it cost $1800 to repair...should have been recalled as Ford did recall the 2011 and 2012's...but ignored the 2010 with the same problem! I would like to know when this brake issue can be repaired? Ford sends a recall letter in January and does not send any updates or information on the recall!
