Takata recall. I have been notified by Ford Motor Company that my car has an air bag inflator that is dangerous and I should not drive the car with a passenger and they do not have repair parts available. This places an unacceptable hardship that has no projected resolution time frame.

"takata recall" - 16S26 2nd notice I received a letter in January that parts would be available in spring 2018 and it gives a warning of not letting anyone sit in the front passenger seat. This car now belongs to my 17 year old son and am concerned for him and the fact that he takes his siblings to school and other places. I think for the safety of the public who has these vehicles, Ford needs to provide loaner cars. I sent a complaint to you in October 2017 and have heard nothing. This recall is dangerous!!! and should have been handled better and faster. The public relies on these vehicles and to tell them not to drive them or not to have a passenger is a major problem, especially if it's the only vehicle they own. All cars should be required to have an air bag shut off switch! I want this resolved asap!!!!! people have been waiting long enough and are being put in harms way because this is taking too long. I expect a response from you! if I don't receive a response soon, I will be contacting local and/or national news agencies!

Takata recall: Ford is telling us we have to wait until parts are available and then they will contact us. That was over 2 months ago and still no contact. I am worried about the possibility of dangerous shrapnel should the airbag deploy.

"takata recall" (Ford 18S01/NHTSA 18V046) - it is well over three months since the recall was announced on January 11, 2018. A remedy has not yet been offered by Ford. Assuming that one is forthcoming, it can no longer be considered "timely".

I have received a letter from Ford motor indicating that there is a defective airbag in my vehicle and that the passenger side airbag defect is most critical and urgent. The letter indicates that no one should sit in the passenger side front side of my 2010 Ford Fusion SE. The letter indicates that airbag replacement parts are currently not available and the letter did not indicate a date as to when parts would become available. I have called Ford in souderton pa to discuss but have not been given a call back.

Takata recall......calling dealers to obtain an approximate timeframe for the repairs. No one knows. This year" next year? two years? five years" no answer. I suspect the recall is a scam. Wait long enough and the affected cars will be off the road before repairs are made.

Takata recall I received a recall notice from Ford Motor Company in July of 2016. Recall # 16S26. Indicated I would be notified when parts available for repair. In December 2017 I received another letter informing me parts may be in spring 2018. I was also notified not to have any one sit in front seat. I recently contacted a Ford dealership about availability of replacement parts and I was notified that parts may never come in. I informed the service writer that this makes the car all most useless. The reply was that the way it is. I feel all Ford is doing is delaying and avoiding the expense of repair. I have friends who drive Honda's that have been repaired for months.
