Takata recall, Ford most recently recalled the airbags in my car, however just like my previous recall there is no parts available, they say the car is safe to drive but I don't want to risk my safety as well as the others in my car if it is not. Previously my car was stuck at the Ford dealership for over 8 months due to a fuel system recall, and they refused to buy back the car but did significant damage to the paint, and interior of the car when they had it. I have pictures from those damages that never got repair by Ford or the dealer all they agreed to do was replace the battery in the car.

Takata recall: I just received notice that my Fusion is being recalled for passenger frontal airbag inflator replacement. According to the dealership, to Ford, and to the complaints posted here, the requisite replacement parts may take "forever" to become available. Meanwhile, we drive a car in which a minor accident could be fatal because of the inflator. Why are we not entitled to use a loaner car until parts are available? the cost of such a program could and should be passed on to takata. It is absurd to have millions of people driving around in these time bombs.

Takata recall according to the NHTSA website if a recall is not repaired in a timely manner then filling out this form is the next step. While I understand the takata recall is affecting a very large number of vehicles, I also understand there continue to be fatalities regarding this recall. It has now been over 20 months since this recall was issued and it still states there is no remedy available for my vehicle. This is unacceptable to continue to tell me to put my family in danger from a known possibly fatal recall that is now nearly 2 years old. Please advise how and when my vehicle will be repaired.

Takata recall: I first read that takata airbags in my Ford Fusion may be defective in early 2016 and finally received recall notice from Ford Motor Co. In July 2016 stating that my vehicle did have an airbag defect and that I would be notified when parts became available. I have called Ford dealer repeatedly and have been told that no parts are available each time I called. One employee at a Ford dealership laughed when I asked for the date they expected to receive repair parts and said that it would be a long time. Well it has been a long time (today is 1/29/2017). I filed an earlier complaint with NHTSA on 5/4/17. I read that Ford was to receive $850 million from takata. It seems that Ford should be required to use that money to fix airbags themselves. I recently received another notice from Ford stating that they expect "remedy parts to become available for certain vehicles in the spring of 2018". when will I know if my vehicle is one of those "certain vehicles"? this most recent notice also states "do not allow anyone to sit in the first row passenger seat". this is absurd-the Fusion is a small vehicle and it would seem that if the airbag ruptures causing metal fragments to strike vehicle "occupants" that everyone in the car would be at risk. This is a dangerous condition that Ford has been given generous leeway to fix. The government is supposed to working on behalf of citizens--not Ford Motor Co., I.e. big business. Please make Ford Motor Company take immediate action to repair or replace these airbags (recall 16S26). I am afraid of my own car.
