Takata recall the recall was issued over one year ago and no remedy is still available. If an accident occurs, I would want my airbags to work properly. Why is it taking so long for Ford to fix it's customer's vehicle airbags" do they not care about our safety or want us to continue buying their cars"

Takata recall. We received the recall notice in July 2016 and as of December 2017 we are still being told that none of the dealers have the parts to fix the problem. I would say that qualifies as failing to remedy the problem in a timely manner, but I'm not sure how these things are measured.

Takata recall - safety recall notice 16S26/NHTSA recall 16V-384. Received a recall notice dated 7-2016. Have made many attempts to have the airbags replaced since I received the notice until the present. I keep getting the same answer - parts are not available yet to repair the airbags. It has been almost a year and a half and I am still waiting. I called again yesterday and received the same answer. Safety is my primary concern. I don't know how they are allowed to drag this out this long, when this could result in injuries or even death. How can I get this resolved now?
