Check engine light keeps coming on saying that its engine misfire in cylinder 2.. my mechanic replaced the spark plug it happened again, we replaced the coil and it did it again. Finally they told me that the coolant was leaking into the cylinder which is causing a misfire and therefore has also cracked the block on the engine. I get home and there is a notice from Ford. Recall 19B37 to reprogram this issue. I scheduled the update to be done and Ford tells me I need a new engine now. I am waiting to hear back from Ford as to how they will help, seeing as though I just bought the car from their dealership less than a yer ago but have no warranty. They tried to charge me a diagnostic fee as well for this issue which I refused to pay since it is part of the recall.

While my 2017 Fusion SE was in motion I got a check engine lamp indicating that I had a miss-firing cylinder and another lamp telling me "engine coolant over temperature". when the lamp comes on it reduces engine torque and vehicle speed, making the car unsafe to drive because it slows the vehicle to about 25 mph. I took it to Ford and they told me it would cost $2,500 to remove the head to look for coolant was in the cylinder, $4,500 to replace with a used engine. I later took the car to an independent mechanic and had sensor for engine coolant replaced. The car seem to drive without an issue, but after a week, the problem returned as described above.

Engine code surfaced and told me I had a misfire. I took it to the shop and was told that coolant had leaked into the cylinder and I would have to replace the entire engine and would cost me $9,300. I called Ford and even though there are recalls on similar vehicles with similar issues, there is not a recall on this particular vehicle.

Since I bought the car in March of 2019 it has given me problems with starting. It seems the battery is always dead even when the battery is new and the mechanic tells me the battery is charged finally today a mechanic told me it may be the starter. Because when I try to start it most times it is delayed or sometimes it won't start and I need a jump. This car is only 2 years old. Why am I having problems with the starter " is there a recall on this car"

My Fusion engine automatically turns off and doesn't want to turn back on, showing me a needs new battery and needs service warning. It takes multiple attempts to restart the car to get it back on sometimes taking minutes. I took it to the mac haik Ford dealership service center today and they told me this was normal. As if the car telling me it needs a new battery, while the needs service warning light comes on, and then turning itself off is normal. My car is dying at stop lights leaving me stranded with cars honking at me and they didn't seem to care. They tried to give it back to me as is and I told them to give it to a better mechanic and they are checking it again. I looked online in forums and apparently this is a common issue and Ford doesn't ever fix it. Https://www.F150forum.com/F118/auto-startstop-error-437920/index4/

My 2017 Ford Fusion had a low tire sensor leak. Upon an initial Ford dealer inspection to investigate the tire leak Ford dealership revealed to me that my car had no coolant left in it & engine was heating up & was dangerous to drive. Ford conducted a pressure test of the engine & I was told needed a new engine replacement. Needless, to say this is a dangerous situation for me to drive with a defective engine & appears I the consumer am out of $24,000 dollars paid & demand Ford manufacturer restitution!

I have the 2017 Fusion sport 2.7L twin turbo and I purchased it new. On more than 30 occasions and at different speeds the vehicle loses all power without warning. I have had it to 2 different dealers who said there are no codes stored indicating this happened and since they weren't able to reproduce the issue that there was nothing they could do to help. I filed a complaint with Ford corporate but they closed my claim since they had no indication this was occuring. I have seen several complaints about this exact issue but yet they continue to deny the problem. On a few occasions I was on the highway running 70 miles an hour. How many people have to die for this to be acknowledged" the nhsta needs to make Ford step up and take care of the problem. Every time this has happened the car also put itself in park before car was at a complete stop which caused a hard jolt to the transmission. This is going to damage the transmission among other things over time. I paid $40,000 for this car and deserve to feel safe while driving it on the road. What if this was happening to your family would you just ignore it and make your family keep driving the vehicle knowing at anytime it could lose power and cause you to wreck? how come nothing is being done about this" make them buy my car or fix the issue so I don't have to put my life in danger in order to get work. I am a nurse I should be able to feel safe driving to work. This has not happened one time but we'll over 25-40 times since purchase.

Hi I have a 2017 Fusion that began to stall and have issues at 72,000 miles. After taking it to the mechanic they determined that a new engine was needed and have found bulletins stating this is due to a manufacturing defect known by Ford as Ford had released the bulletins. This defect leads to engine failure and is nothing caused by the driver but solely due to the fact that when certain engines were manufactured they were manufactured incorrectly. Ford is unwilling to pay for engine replacement even though they have admitted this is fault during the manufacturing processes if the engine is to stall or seize during driving this could lead to serious injury, accident, and even death. Ford is not recalling this engine at this time. Luckily my engine seized while stopped.

As I was driving on the highway my car engine started cutting out and check engine light came on. Replaced spark plugs, fuel filter and coil pack. Problem did not resolve. Took car to chapman Ford in scottsdale AZ. They found that the fuel injector in cylinder 2 had stuck open flooding the cylinder with gasoline and compromising lubrication in that cylinder. Repair requires removing engine and rebuilding it. Vehicle only has 70,000 miles on it of which 95% is highway miles. If I wouldn't have known to switch it to sport mode and keep the RPM up until I could get to a safe location it could have stalled on the highway causing a collision. After doing research online found that this is a common problem with the ecoboost 4 cylinder motor and should be a recall item. Ford refusing to pay for repairs on a car that's just over 2 years old. With previous Ford vehicles I have always been offered an extended warranty but was not on this vehicle.

While driving the vehicle three block from my house the engine shut down and would not re-start. I pushed it into a parking lot and attempted to jump start it with no luck. I had it towed to airport marina Ford 5880 w. centinela ave, los angeles, ca. 90045. My vehicle has been at Ford service for three days and they have not been able to figure out the issue. The service advisor said they problem may be caused by the high voltage regulator or the transmission. My vehicle only has approximately 52,000 miles.
