HondaLink Application does not always accurately communicate with the vehicle. This could cause issues with sounding alarm for distress or just everyday convenience for heating/cooling the car. Also, it is used to track charing and tire pressure.

I have a new Honda Prologue with less than 300 miles. The Vehicle Drive Shaft makes clicking noise at the CV Joint when I make a left hand turn. I took it to my local Honda Dealership, Roush Honda in Westerville, Ohio. They acknowledged the problem and in fact saw the same problem on a new Prologue that is on their lot. They told me they would contact Honda about my problem and hopefully arrange to get my vehicle repaired. I have heard/read that the part needed to repair my car is backordered due to nationwide shortage caused by this vehicle defect on numerous 2024 Honda Prologues. Prologues owners with this defect are being told the car is safe to drive. This is a guess on the part of the dealership staff since they really don-??t know what the implications will be if their is a catastrophic failure of the defective part while someone is driving,

I was not assisted with setting up OnStar on the day of purchase, which was at the end of September 2024. The next day, when I was unable to set it up myself, I contacted the dealer and was sent numerous links to set it up. However, it has never worked and has been to the Service department twice. The first visit was on October 19, 2024, and I waited for one month for parts that never arrived. They informed me that the parts were on backorder, and since the vehicle was drivable, I chose to pick it up. However, the radio went completely out on December 19, 2024, and I was instructed to bring the vehicle back to the dealer because the parts had finally arrived. I was provided with a loaner, and the vehicle has been at the dealer ever since. I reached out to them on week three to inquire about the estimated time of completion for the new radio system installation and was informed that additional parts needed to be ordered, which would take seven more days. I followed up 10 days later and was told that the part had still not arrived

OnStar would not work and could not be enabled. OnStar is required to enable navigation and the HondaLink app. The dealership keep the vehicle for 5 week trying to resolve. Electric cars really need onboard navigation to work. Without navigation you cannot - navigate to charging stations. - the battery will not precondition - you cannot open your garage door Without the HondaLink app you cannot - remotely unlock my car in an emergency - set off emergency alarm - can not locate my car if missing

Specifically, I have encountered recurring problems with the vehicle's automatic braking system, as well as issues with the Honda Prologue app, both of which I believe compromise the vehicle's safety and performance. -??The vehicle's automatic braking system appears to be malfunctioning, as it has activated unexpectedly on multiple occasions, leading to near-miss accidents. On at least three occasions, the vehicle-??s brakes have engaged without cause, even in situations where there is no obstruction or -??phantom-?? vehicle detected. This automatic braking has not only been inappropriate but also posed a significant safety risk to both myself and other road users. The reverse braking system exhibits similar issues, activating without cause. Despite the alerts being on and the brakes not being engaged, the system-??s warning signals still activate, leading to further confusion and potential danger. I have consulted with both the dealership and the Prologue forum, and it has been confirmed that this is an ongoing issue. However, the dealership has indicated that they have no immediate workaround or solution. The only suggested viableremedy has been to disable these safety features entirely, which negates the very purpose of having them. -??The Honda Prologue app, which is intended to provide critical vehicle information and allow remote monitoring and control, is also malfunctioning. I have been in communication with Honda for over two months regarding these issues, but unfortunately, no solution has been provided. The app is essential for monitoring vehicle functions such as theft prevention, charging status, and temperature control, all of which are key safety and convenience features. I am concerned about my ability to monitor the vehicle-??s charging, especially given the increasing number of incidents involving electric vehicles catching fire during or after charging. Proper monitoring of charging status is crucial to avoid potential over overcharging and battery degradation.

No heat at all. This is not good when here in the northeast its only been in the teens. My car has now been sitting at the dealership for a month with no idea when the part will be in to fix it. If they had just said to keep driving it till the parts came in this could have caused a safety issue health wise. I have not contacted the manufacturer as of it about this issue.

When using honda link locking or unlock doors system fails to unlock. If I can-??t get to my keys or have lost my keys I-??m locked out of my vehicle. In case of emergency I would be locked out of my vehicle and could be a safety hazard. This is unconfirmed by dealer and I have not contacted the manufacturer of this issue.

HondaLink app will not connect with vehicle and requires re-activation with Honda support occasionally. This is a safety concern as I am unable to identify and/or unlock car in an emergency (lost key), nor check tire pressure, and ultimately identify current state of vehicle battery. I have notified manufacturer and have two (2) open cases at this time. Dealer has also been notified. No warning lamps, several messages appear (see attached images). First occurrence was shortly after taking receipt of vehicle (Wednesday 15-Jan) and has occurred on several other occasions, which has caused me to request specific case investigation from manufacturer.

The vehicle comes with an HondaLink app that allows control of many features and is needed to claim the valuable charging credits (EVGo) that come with the vehicle. It has been more than a month since we bought the vehicle and the HondaLink app has never worked. I have been on the phone with Honda many times with no fix. They have sent me email links to patch the issue, but none of the links have worked. This is a defective app.

problem #14

HondaLink app has major defects which impact safety and operation of the vehicle. Locking and unlocking the doors via the app doesn't work half the time. This causes a safety issue to access the vehicle if my keys are not readily available. Additionally the app notifies me that my charging is complete on the vehicle when it in fact is not charged to the set charging level. This could cause issues with operation of the vehicle if someone stops charging when receiving this notification. This could cause the vehicle to not have sufficient battery upon using the vehicle. Additionally, the tire pressure readout shown in the app doesn't work half the time. The app has a very long response time to do most tasks, or times out meaning the task doesn't complete. Additionally, there is a wind noise developing with the vehicle when driving around 35mph or greater, it is loud when driving the vehicle and sounds like the drivers window is cracked open, however it is not.

Clicking sound heard when turning right or left at approximately 300 miles. No warning lights were on during the events. I brought it to dealership and after a test drive, was told it's an axle and will take 2 weeks to get in. I was informed it is safe to drive in the meantime. It has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police or insurance representative. Only the dealership, so far.

The Honda link app frequently does not connect to my iPhone to remotely unlock my car. If I am locked out with the keys inside I would not safely get into the vehicle. My brakes were mushy when braking. Warning notices on the dash for servicing brakes and other related brake systems came up. At one point I couldn't come to a full stop. Issue first noticed 9/26/24. Dropped the car off at the dealer 10/8/24 and it sat for four months waiting the brake master cylinder. Picked up on 1/9/25. So far the brakes are working fine. I am now noticing a clicking sound coming from the front end when steering.

Vehicle makes clicking noise in driver side front wheel area when making a sharp left turn and moving vehicle from a stopped or parked position. Vehicle was taken to dealership for inspection and was told by dealership that the issue was compared to a "known good" vehicle which reproduced the same sound. Dealership said this is considered normal. Dealership test drove vehicle with me and confirmed hearing the noise. This issue is potentially a faulty axle and or CV. This is potentially a safety risk as a can cause unstable driving, resulting in injury or death.
