When accelerating in lower gears (1-3) it shifts hard and delayed. It can sometimes take 30 seconds after pushing on the accelerator to start moving and jolt forward.

After driving a very short distance, I stopped at a stop sign and the engine seemed to turn off while the car was in drive. The display indicated to shift the car into park, and then engage a gear. I shifted into park, and then into drive but the card did not start or move. I tried that sequence several times after turning on the hazard flashers to no avail. Finally I turned off and removed the key, waited a minuted, then inserted the key and restarted the engine. I shifted into drive and the car moved. Very scary. The exact same thing happened to my wife a day later, at exactly the same location, a stop sign 1/4 mile from our home. She freaked out, and then called me. I gave her the procedure I used and she was able to return home. In both cases this occurred on a 4 lane divided roadway. This is an extremely dangerous situation with the power train which the dealer/manufacturer must address before someone is killed.

I bought this vehicle in 12/31/2017 as used from wally armour in salem Ohio, it only had 11000 miles on it and smelled brand new still. The first incident I had noticed when I was driving the rpms/engine would rev really high and loud but the car was only going 55 and it seemed to be in the wrong gear but I was in the automatic drive position which should not cause this, I could understand if I was in standard stick shift and if I would down shift it would cause it to do that. Then I started noticing a hesitation in the take off of the vehicle so when I was at a stop light and turning left it waiting for oncoming traffic it will hesitate and god for bid there is a car coming and it is hesitating and then all of a sudden it will lurch forward and I get thrown forward then backward in my seat as if I was hit from behind by another vehicle but there was no one behind my vehicle and it will jar my neck causing pain, I had neck surgery in 2016 with a cage put in and a Fusion of 2 cadaver bones, I am in no condition for my vehicle to be lurching forward as if it is getting hit from behind. This is not a one time incident either it is on going daily. I am hoping for a resolution to this problem I have taken it in once and plan on taking it in again to have them look at possibly doing something to it to fix it.

When starting from a stop car hesitates or jerks, sometimes clunks or grinds. Does the same thing when trying to pass a vehicle, pulling out at a stop light does the same thing. I believe it could be the transmission as the car seems not to want to shift correctly and makes rough, jumpy grinding noises does this most of time time you drive it and has for along time.

Shifting rough when driving, while driving the transmission shifts so hard it seems like I was rear ended throwing me back in my seat. RPM runs high like the car is about to blow up, driving and the car will just slow down, I press on the gas and it does the same thing. I am gonna cause a wreck or cause someone else to wreck into me back of the hard shifting and not going when you press on the gas, then the hard shift again and throwing me back in my seat. Then the car just cut off even though I had the auto turned off? I am so frustrated and scared to drive my new car that was just putchased used in July 2018. Help!!!

Very hard shifting 1-4 gears. Bad enough it feels like you're getting rear ended. Accelerates on its own at times during shifting. Just took it to a local only for them to tell me there is nothing wrong with it. There are recalls on millions of these transmissions but not on mine according the VIN number.

Numerous transmission issues ranging from shifting errors to rough shifting, and recently, automatic engine shutoff no longer works. Despite Chrysler's transmission recalls, the issues continue. The latest issue, on/off switch, has no solution according to the dealer. And they have submitted a star report for assistance. That was after 5 days of holding on to the car.

My 2015 Jeep Cherokee latitude has stalled while accelaterating at least 8 or 9 times now, and I've only had the vehicle for 7 months. It started when I first purchased the vehicle and the rpms would drop down sunddenly when I first started the vehicle. I took it back to the dealership and they said nothing was wrong with it. Now, when I am stopped at a stoplight, or am attempting to get onto the freeway, my vehicle will stall, the engine turns off, the battery light indicator comes on and I am instructed to put the vehicle back into park and restart the car. It takes a couple of tries for the vehicle to start again. I feel very unsagfe driving this vehicle as I am afraid it will turn off again and I won't be able to avoid traffic.

When I start the car in the morning stationary, the car leaps forward and then the car rocks back and forth. Ive complained about this before but dealer could not replicate issue since the issue usually only occurs when engine is cold. "takata recall" Jeep has been running fine since I bought it, driving around yesterday with no issue then pulled into the driveway and put it in park and shut the Jeep off. Got my kids loaded up and started the Jeep now a bunch of lights cover my dash and I can not search through the menu on the screen. Saying service transmission. It will violently jerk twice when I can only assume it is searching for reverse and also when placed in drive. Looked into forms and found that there was a recall on the transmission but is not associated with my VIN. Yet it has the recalled trans and is of the year as well.

The gears are locked and the vehicle or the shifter will not move. We started the car to go somewhere and backed it out of the garage, stopped and put the car in park to put the other car in the garage, when we got back in the Jeep the gears, shifter, would not move, nor would the car. We finally got the Jeep in neutral, the car still would not move, it felt like we were pushing a house, but we finally got it back in the garage. Also, the next time we tried to shift the gears while in the garage to show my brother who also owned a Jeep Cherokee that had a recall on it. We put the key in and change gears to reverse, but the Jeep would not move, and the gears would not move back to park, so the keys was stuck in the vehicle. We had to force it back to part to get the keys.

Vehicle has had transmission light come on 3 times within 50K. The most current incident occured while driving down a busy highway. The vehicle shuttered and rufused to accelerate. This led to 3 near miss collisions and fear of driving the vehicle. Each time we have the issue the dealer simply flashes the trans mission which obviously doesn't fix the problem.
