Transmission problems for almost a year now, truck violently jerks forward on acceleration mostly from a dead stop but sometimes in motion and on deceleration has almost caused many front and rear accidents. Recently on my way home from New Jersey the check engine light came on indicating service transmission the vehicle lost power while I was on the parkway almost caused an accident. I pulled over and turned off the vehicle then restarted the check engine light was still on, but I regained power to drive. That lasted a minute or two then the same thing happened. Truck lost power was in a fail safe mode barely drove above 30 or 40mph. What a long, unsafe trip home to say the least. I've had nothing but problems with this truck and have numerous complaints and repairs at the dealership. Now it's apart of this recall and no parts are available. The dealership says this problem is the recall, but they can't fix it yet. I've been without my truck for almost 2 weeks this is awful and I'm frustrated and fed-up with this vehicle. I want out of this lease asap. And ps they put me in a Dodge dart loaner care are you kidding me I drive a truck for a reason!

I have had all kinds of electrical issues with my 2015 Cherokee trailhawk 4X4 and this all happened after they did 4 upgrades on my computer at dealership, when picked up SUV the check engine was on, took back to dealer and they said they flashed it what ever that means. The check engine disappeared afterwards, I have had issues with it lunging when letting foot off brake due to the auto on & off feature and just recently was driving and the air bad light, traction light, 4 wheel drive and check engine light came on I pulled over due to this and when putting in park felt like someone rear ended me in which they didnt, the 4 wheel drive light comes on with message that four wheel drive has been disabled contact dealer, that started it all that morning. Then all the other lights illuminated and beeping, I took to dealer in richmond ky and they brought out the scanner and scanned it and printed off several things that was coming up then advised me they couldn't do anything to check vehicle for 2 weeks I then called lexington dealer and they said bring it in, I had it towed to lexington dealer, now they say they cant get it to duplicate anything. Well now this is the issue I have intermittent electrical issues that deems this vehicle unsafe to drive because it is can shut down as others has said or catch fire or accelerate on its own etc. There is definitely issues with this vehicle that no one can explain. I have ask dealership to contact Jeep mfg/Chrysler to see about what they say its very scary having a vehicle that you cant trust to be safe in. Its already had me rear end a car by the lunging after you let off brake now this... I just feel unsafe in my new vehicle.... I purchased this vehicle to to be a safe one. And its definitely not safe due to being intermittent electrical issues. Dealers doesn't have a clue about the electrical malfunctions of these cars.

I have had the vehicle in several times for check engine light. I has been on for the entire time I have had it. They have said it was intake manifold bolts loose and several program updates. This last time they said it was the fuel causing the problem. I have used 5 different fuels and the light stays on. There has been several problems with engine surging when I put it in reverse and at a stop light.

SUV shuts off in the middle of road while driving normal speed, city or highway happens both; all lights on dash are flashing, brake light comes on for no reason, alerts to check transmission, check parking brake, check engine, car jus stops and wont move but engine still sounds like it's running, , and and all other electronic gauges are flashing...has been taken back to dealer two/three times in one month to fix but but the same problem always comes back again, . not impressed; I have owned Jeep all my life never had this problem, this SUV is dangerous, I bought this car and paid $38 thousand and have 19K miles on it. I even tried to trade it in with the same dealer and was told it was only worth 17K which is less than half what I paid for it a year and a half ago! how is this even legal" why am I making car payments for a SUV that Chrysler knows is defective and one which they have not resolved issues ? how can Chrysler get away with this ? and this is the auto manufacturer that our government financially bailed out a few year with our tax dollars? how would Chrysler respond if we all quit making payments on our loans " I have been researching thousands of other complaints, same Jeep, same year, etc. I am becoming more and more convinced that Chrysler really doesn't care. They got their money upfront ! furthermore they should not be allowed to continue to be in business while their products are known safety hazards to the consumer.! chuck D mount pleasant,

Issues began in December, 2015 with intermittent hard shifting in the lower gears when pulling out. Dealer couldn't 'duplicate' same. Hard shifting has gone from intermittent to pretty much all the time when pulling out, backing up and only in the lower gears. I have had the Jeep to the dealership a total of 5 times, have filed a complaint with Fiat/Chrysler and have had no luck/response other than they can't get my car to duplicate what I say it is doing. On more than one occasion it has gotten stuck in first gear and I have had to use the slap stick to get it out of the stuck gear. Shifting is almost to the point of giving me whiplash and has gotten worse.

On 06/04/16, at 12,600 miles, the Jeep failed completely on the freeway. We were driving 50 mph in heavy southern ca traffic when the 'transmission service required' light and the red check engine light flashed on and we lost all power. This happened instantly and without any warning. We had to throw on the hazard lights and Dodge oncoming traffic to move over 3 lanes to exit the freeway at less than 5 mph. This was a terrifying experience and we are lucky the Jeep did not cause a major accident! the tustin Jeep dealership did a software update and said it was fine. Fca has remained adamant that the problem is not mechanical, but software related and have released 3 software patches to date but we see no improvement. One week later on 06/13/16 the transmission was still functioning poorly (hard shifts, up shifting as you apply the break downhill, etc.) and then we had another problem. The alarm went off without warning and would not shut off, even when the Jeep's engine was turned on. Only after several minutes and pushing every button on the key multiple times did it finally stop. We took it to placentia Jeep and they looked into the transmission and alarm. After having our Jeep for a week, they did yet another software update for the transmission and disconnected the gps. They explained that the gps that was installed at the dealer after the fact was interfering with the factory installed alarm, and that caused the alarm to go off at random. This is a big problem because we were charged $1295 extra for that feature and it is now disconnected. The dealer also found that the battery power was below half, and they felt that the radio was pulling from the battery even when the Jeep is turned off. They found no resolution for this problem and asked us to return after a week or two to reassess the problems.

Shortly after buying my 2015 Jeep Cherokee sport with the 2.4 engine and 9 speed automatic, it began shifting erratically. In town it would hesitate when leaving a stop light or jerk violently while changing gears. On the highway, it would not downshift on inclines or to pass and merge with traffic. I had several close calls where I had to accelerate but nothing happened when putting the pedal to the floor. This has been in the shop four times just for this problem alone and as of this writing, is still not any better. It has also had other problems with the thermostat and interior. I work in the automotive industry and know from resources that this is a simple fix. Fca is giving thousands of people the runaround and angering dealerships by not being honest. The 4 cylinder engine will no longer meet the reported mpg it was claimed to after the shift profiles change and this puts fca in a position that Volkswagen recently dealt with. My safety and the safety of thousands is not worth 3 mpg. Fca is also treating customers as if each case is individually unique and it belittles them as well as the mechanics that know repairs are futile. I have a case number now and another appointment but it would be best to avoid this vehicle at all costs and arbitrate. There should be a federal investigation before someone dies if they haven't already. The thermostat failure is also widespread and is only being addresses one at a time in field claims. This too could lead to serious damage and even fire which has also happened to a few of these vehicles. Please help us be a voice and stop this serious disregard for safety and consumer rights.

The 2015 vehicle was parked in closed garage and key fobs was left in car cup holder. Car started itself and did not turn off ran in a closed garage for over and hour. This is a real severe issue that the car should have alarmed or shut itself off after 10 minutes my family could have been dead and not be able to talk about it. Luckily this was caught before harm was done. This is not a mistake that can be undone. The car also had an issue with the throttle it would rev to 3-4,000 rpms when in park after we pulled it out of the garage. Couldn't be driven as it would havelost.control with the throttle sticking. Car dealer says it's fixed throttle replaced and all is well. But it is not I cannot park that car in my garage and that is not acceptable for me. Car dealers don't work with people, they just want to fix the recalls and for you to go away. Something has to be done! people need to be taken seriously especially when. It comes to carbon monoxide levels.

The shifting on this car is terrible and I'm surprised it hasn't caused me to be in an accident. It jerks and either takes forever to shift or shifts way to hard and too fast. Even just coasting in a residential neighborhood it's a hard shift between gears and I cannot believe I purchased this car. Every drive is an issue and whenever I have passengers they all comment that something must be wrong with how the car shifts.

On April 1, my family and I were headed 2 hours away for a weekend getaway. My 16 year old new driver was driving the vehicle and it bogged down and then jumped ahead while he was accelerating from 45 to 55. He was scared to death! it has happened to me numerous times, especially when accelerating from a stop light/sign. It is inevitable that I will have an accident, either rear-ending someone, or being rear ended.
