My 2018 Jeep Compass will stall when stopping or slowing down increasing my chances of crashing. It will take more than 10 mins to restart and it will struggle to turn back on. We have brought it in twice to dealership shop and they say they fixed it but it still has not been fixed.

While in motion the electric emergency brake will ingage on its on cause the car to suddenly slow down and stop, very dangerous especially of in traffic. Another issue while in motion at random times the ' engine' or transmission'" feels like it slips" and makes it hard for the car to accelerate engine light turns on and says service engine. I have to pull over and stop the car restart so the transmission doesn't heat

2018 Jeep Compass with around 40,000 miles will shut off at highway speeds, normal driving speeds 30-70 mph, leaving the power steering, electrical, and engine disabled until the car is parked, power is off for a few minutes then the car will turn back on. This has happened about a dozen times to this vehicle in the last few weeks.

I took in my vehicle about a month ago to get a fix on a service engine light issue. It seemed to be a problem when I had my ac on and the transmission light and service engine light would turn on. I wouldn't be able to accelerate and it would make a jerking movement when I put my car into drive. I took my vehicle in about a month ago and they said that the problem had been fixed. Well today I get in my car to drive on the highway in the dmv and as I'm leaving the street I live on my car stops with no warning. I let it rest for a few minutes and then turn it on again; it hesitates to turn on making a weird sound then turns on about 10 seconds later. I put it in drive and it starts to drive but then jerks and completely stops. I bought this car in the beginning of the year and if I knew I would have all these issues with it and be fearful that I could've gotten into a crash or worse on the highway- I would not have bought it!

Today while driving on the highway, my car started to jerk which then the check engine light popped up with the transmission light saying it needed to be serviced. Once that appeared in the middle of me driving on the highway my car failed to accelerate. It stalled on me in the middle of the highway where everyone is driving 65 mph and it gave me no time to move over to the side of the road. I immediately turned my emergency lights on. Once the car came to a complete stop it jerked and the power on the car went off, so it put it on emergency brakes and said to step on brake and push start. I turned the car completely off and turned it back on, so I began to drive again with caution but the check engine light was still there. I drove for a mile and the transmission light message popped up again, which then cause my vehicle to jerk and stall again in the middle of driving. It put it on emergency brake but this time I was able to move to the side of the road. I let the car cool down so I turned it completely off again. This is not the first this has happened. Its very dangerous and unacceptable. I have taken it to the dealership several times and the mechanics have no idea what it is. I need to get this fixed because its not safe for me or others driving around me. I do not feel safe in this car because random things appear and cause the car to fail while in driving. There was no message or warning about anything.

2018 Jeep Compass stalls in the middle of busy highways. Extremely unsafe. Jeep says engine burns oil too fast. Many times there is not even a warning light. Has happened since I bought the car. Happens every 1000-2000 miles. Jeep said it's a safety feature and to just add oil. That did not fix the problem and is not a solution to this dangerous engine that many other people are experiencing. There needs to be a recall before someone gets killed.

My vehicle sounds like it's down shifting when driving between 40 & 50 miles and it has cut off on me several times when tuning the corners and something always sounds like it's rattling. There have been times when all of my functions light up or it tells me my key is not in the vehicle when it's in plain site. This happens when I'm driving on the street or freeway.

The vehicle was taken to East Tennessee Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram located at 2774 N. main St, crossville, tn 38555, where it was stated that there were many unspecified failures with the vehicle. The technician stated that the vehicle needed to be kept for over a month for comprehensive diagnostic tests. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and suggested that the contact leave the vehicle with the dealer and request a loaner vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 17,000.

Vehicle has randomly shuts down while driving street or highway. Service transmission light comes on while driving and car decelerates which is extremely dangerous at highway speeds. I bought a 2018 Jeep Compass in 2019 it had about 10 thousand miles on it. 4 months later I'm heading to work and car stalls out. I started back up and made it to my local garage they checked the oil and there was not a drop of oil in it. They said it was there fault they never put oil in when I purchased. 4 months later completely out of oil again. And here we are today 2 months after the last service call my is going threw almost an entire tank of oil every 2 months. And my local dealership where I purchased the car keeps making me do oil consumption test...and my car has completely ran out of oil 3 times and I have had 2000 miles more to go before I needed an oil change. I actually run out of oil in my way before I need an oil change. I have complained to the Jeep corporation several times in the last year and they will do nothing to fix.

Stop/start not available, backup camera goes out or does not work, engine is super hot high heat, check transmission ligh, check engine light, amber stop start light, putting in reverse and car will die out or hesitate, only 14,000 miles 2 years old all these symptons came on this week. Car will intermittently cut off while driving causing you to have to put in park, turn off and then restart car. This has happened on more than one occasion. Today 8.12 I was making a left hand turn and in the midst of the turn the car cut off which automaticlly engaged the parking break. I had to disengage the break, push car to medium to avoid oncoming traffic, put in park and cycle the car off. I was able to immediately restart the car but the entire process takes a few minutes.
