At times after putting in park and hitting the button to turn car off, it says car is still on but it's not running. It is set in park. Have to start again and turn off again then it will do the same thing and not start at all. Will have to get out and lock and unlock car to start it.

Vehicle completely shuts off while driving! while driving on a highway and down a mountain, also when driving on a local street after it had been in dealership for repairs. Is currently again at dealer service and they have said it needs a new computer. This a very frightening and dangerous experience

On 7.25.20 my husband and I were driving down interstate 29 at 80 mph and the driver side headrest exploded forward with great force and hit my husband in the back of the head. Luckily he was able to keep control of the vehicle so we didn't crash, however now he is dealing with neck/shoulder pain. He had to remove the headrest so we could continue to drive it, there is a wire attached to the 1 side so that had to be snipped to remove headrest. Now my service airbag system light is on, I'm surprised the [xxx] thing even starts and runs. Now I feel like we need to remove passenger headrest completely to prevent another injury. This is ridiculous, I paid alot of money for this Jeep and have had numerous major issues that are expensive to fix. Consumer stated husband sustained neck/shoulder pain for a few days but is fine now. Fuel line issues (evap code is being thrown) code 'service shifter' and the prnds flashes. As I accelerate the car won't shift past 1st gear. I turned the car off and back on, the same shifter memo was on the screen accompanied by 'service transmisson'. I was not able to go more than 30 mph with the RPM at about 4,000. I was on a city street.

Our car was unable to start and thought the key fob battery was faulty. When the key fob was replaced the electronics in the car went completely haywire and the care was unable to move or start but the radio was on, the windshield wipers were on. We then turned the car off and waited for a tow. The car then started and was able to be drove for several miles. Later in the day the car again would not start or able to be opened. The car was towed and the dealership stated the shifter was faulty. They have now replaced the shifter twice. The first time the shifter was replaced the mechanic brought it to me and they were unable to get it out of drive at the dealership. They immediately took it back to repair it again. They replaced the shifter again. I drove the car home and then started the car with the remote start, got in the care and received the message that the shifter needed to be serviced. I immediately returned the car to the dealer.

Electric shifter. Was driving getting on a bridge going about 40mph, shifter went into 2nd gear. It was very startling, the RPM needle went pretty high and I wasn't getting any speed, I had to pull over and shift it back into 'drive' very scary just bought it today.

The headrest active restraint on my Jeep driver side seat deployed for no reason. The clips that hold it in place broke off. The vehicle was running parked in a parking lot with no one sitting in the drivers side seat.

We have been having trouble with the shifter. Quite often when we push it into park it doesn't go to park. It either stays in drive or goes to neutral. So when we think the car is in park it continues to move. It is hard to get it in the desired gear like if the computer is T reading G it. We often have to try multiple times before it goes in the desired gear. We have noticed this primarily when parking, the other day we had to act quickly because the car went forward and hit a low wall, as we were parking at home.

The contact used the parking brakes to slow the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to all american Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram of odessa located at 2510 E 8 th St, odessa, tx 79761, (432) 614-0801. The tow truck driver identified the failure of the alternator as the cause of the failure. The contact was informed by the dealer that the battery needed to be replaced prior to a diagnostic test being performed on the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 30,800.

Service shifter warning appears on dashboard at startup and while driving

Vehicle puts up a service shifter message then puts up a service transmission message. All power in the car is disabled and the car involuntarily slams into a random gear, sometimes 1st, sometimes 7th, other times neutral. After many failed attempts for a fix at local dealerships, I was driving to the store on Friday, March 6th 2020. Im driving going around 45 mph. The power suddenly cuts off and my Jeep is locked in neutral with the engine running. No headlights or hazards would work. I push the power button turning the engine off trying to restart. No power other than interior lighting. Mind you, I'm stranded on a 4 lane highway in the rain and snow in the dark with no hazards. I had to call 911 and have them block the street so I could push the car off the road into the grass. Once again at the dealer and after 6 days they haven't any clue what is wrong. They need a recall for whatever is going on here. My life was in serious danger because of a faulty product.

Uconnect system not working properly. It always says that I need to contact the dealership for an upgrade but when I check the uconnect sight, it states that there is no update available. I constantly have to reset my stereo system. The screen is black almost everytime I get into my vehicle.

Also, while pressing start/stop button the vehicle would not immediately start. During the failure the message 'already in gear' was displayed. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer and manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 40,000. Consumer stated since 2013 vehicle had the following issues head unit, brake booster water shield, navigation (4 times) and still not working, and light sensor comes on once in a while.

The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 67,000.

The vehicle was driven to the residence. The vehicle was not taken to an independent mechanic or the dealer for a diagnostic. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 77,000.
