For the past 2 weeks my radio changes stations back and forth, the air conditioner goes high to low real fast but today really scared me I put on my blinker to turn left and it started switching right to left and the car behind me was fixing to go around me on the right side and when it switched to the right it scared him and he slammed on his breaks and the car behind him almost hit him. Also, sometimes when I put it in reverse it kinda jumps into reverse. The back arch hasn't been wanting to close either when I push the button all of the thugs happen while just starting it to going anywhere

I have a 2018 grand Jeep and since I took delivery in 2018 he uconnect feature has never worked right, and now is beyond useless/dangerous. I have been given the run arounds by the dealership, and doesn't want to cover 2018 vehicle in 2020 with very little use this whole year. The whole system is not safe with random changes with radio volume, temp changes, nav changing instructions in route, etc. It's beyond frustrating and I can't seem to get a straight or help. Online this has been an issue for year before my model was sold, and never addresses. This is fraud and straight negelence, and I wish I could give this vehicle back. Worse purchase ever!!

The bubble caused certain features to switch on and off independently like the radio, the air condition, the navigation system, and the defroster. The contact was unable to see out of the windshield while driving and pulled over because the defroster was inoperable. The contact took the vehicle to love Chrysler Dodge Jeep llc (1259 E main St., alice, tx 78332, (361) 356-7928) and was informed by the dealer that the warranty had expired. Started out with having issues with the radio screen not coming on just the Jeep logo would show up. Then it progressed to the screen and radio would restart as I'm driving and occasionally would make a loud beeping noise out of nowhere. Went to start my car and all the lights across the dash would flash and change colors (from a blue to orange) and the car will not start. Now nothing works at all on the car and I can't get the car to start. Car is completely dead.

Here are times when I have pulled out (with various people in the car) most recently my 13 year-old-son, who was screaming, "dad what are you doing, we are about to be hit, " and the car has completely shut down. (no interior lights, or running engine) quick thinking saved us from a major disaster. We were almost T-boned last week because of this problem. This would not be the first time for this problem. Problem #3: while driving, I pulled out from my street, a red light or parking lot and the transmission did not engage, the engine revved (without moving) and again, I was almost T-boned. It happened again this morning. Problem #4: there are times when I am traveling up or downhill, the transmission will wind out, the tachometer will spike and then the Jeep makes a knocking noise and then I can continue. You could drive the car for months and then all of a sudden it happens. Problem #5: I was backing into my driveway, the back up camera stopped working and my Jeep completely shut down. This happens on more than one occasion and has no precursor to when it is going to happen.

Not a safety issue, but a extremely frustrating and widespread issue. Fm radio signal issues. Fm radio cuts in and out. I found a forum with dozens of other owners who had the same issue. Radio works fine for xm/sirius and am. Seeking through fm stations, the radio doesn't find any signals strong enough to stop on. I'm in an area with strong fm stations and have never had issues on other radios in any of my vehicles.

The main Jeep battery had a thermal runaway and melted to the point it started a fire. The battery is located under the passenger seat and melted the battery cover, seat cover, carpet, seat trim.both battery cables Jeep would not cover this under their warranty. 2018 Jeep warranty statement from the date of purchase, a Jeep basic limited warranty (or Jeep bumper-to-bumper warranty) covers the cost of repairs throughout most of your vehicle. It also covers the cost of parts and labor due to defective materials, workmanship, or factory preparation. A basic warranty also covers Jeep roadside assistance for towing to a dealership during the first three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first.

On multiple occasions, while traveling at varying speeds, the entire dashboard and infotainment system have shut down for anywhere from several seconds to several minutes. The engine has not shut down, but there has been a noticeable lack of power following these events. This has occurred while maneuvering through a parking lot, traveling on a highway, through a downtown city street and on country roads. The events have occurred at varying times of day and during varying weather climates. The initial occurrence was in June 2019 while traveling on the highway. The vehicle has been to the dealership multiple times for service for this issue, yet the problem continues to occur. They have replaced a backup battery to the start/stop, as well as the button, in efforts to locate and solve the problem.

The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact stated that the radio/infotainment system controlled several functions in the vehicle, including heating and air. The contact stated that on several occasions, the infotainment system overheated and caused several of the electrical functions to become inoperable. Also, on occasion, the heat or air would activate independently and could not be turned off. The contact stated that the radio would then attempt to reboot until the battery discharged. The vehicle was taken to garden city Jeep (283 N franklin St, hempstead, NY 11550, (516) 336-4712) to be diagnosed and the dealer was able to duplicate the failure. The infotainment system was replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was also taken to East hills Jeep and bayside Jeep in New York for additional inquiries. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was informed that the infotainment system was safe to operate at 80 degrees; however, the temperature of the infotainment system showed at over 100 degrees during operation. The approximate failure mileage was 16.

Similar to multiple reviews posted here, 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee shuts off completely while driving. As of this date 12.18.2019 I have experienced my car shutting off entirely at street to highway speeds (25-65 mph) being unable to restart multiple times (5). As a part of restarting the vehicle one is prompted to place the vehicle in park and activate by pushing the start/stop. - couple of issues there 1) you have to somehow manage to get your vehicle out of the middle of a busy street/highway which likely wont happen. 2) when you realize you cant get into a safe area and put your car in park to attempt restart, the vehicle does not restart at all. This leaves you and your vehicle completely stranded and locked out. Putting personal safety and the safety of everyone else in a highly dangerous situation. And then the cops come tell you they will tow you at your own expense. - I have been lucky enough to jump the vehicle all of the times I have been stranded. Let me be the first to tell you that two cars stopped dead in the middle of a highway performing a jump is 100% a life threatening situation. Now, the vehicle also likes to decide that it just doesn't want to start at erratic intervals. I have now 3 times experienced my vehicle just flat out not starting.once right in the morning at work, once at work trying to go for lunch and the final time being at lunch. It's become painfully clear that the dealership has no idea what is wrong and they are now sending me out on labrat Excursion hoping they fixed an issue they cannot identify. They are doing this knowing full well that the cost of failure could end up being my life.

Grand Cherokee

An issue relating to electrical or power train causes the vehicle to stall and remain in a no start condition. Without warning, the vehicle is completely without electrical power while driving and the vehicle becomes unable to be controlled. This vehicle was manufactured 9/2018, purchased 12/18. This incident happened while driving the vehicle on the interstate at a speed of 45-55 mph on 5/31/18 and again while driving at 30-40 mph on a city street on 10/18/19. Both of these incidents were terrifying and thankfully we were not involved in an accident. The only service that has been performed (oil changes and these two issues) was completed by the dealership where it was purchased. Both times the vehicle failed, the dealership discovered that the master fuse was "blown" and the replaced it. This is an unsafe vehicle that I am now forced to pay for and drive myself and my children around in not knowing when it will shut off and I will no longer be able to control the vehicle or move from the flow of traffic. When calling the manufacturer, I was told that the recall number U87 / NHTSA id 18V524000 did not include my VIN number although the description is exactly the same. This recall explains that the dealer should replace the powertrain control module because it may be equipped with a voltage regulator chip in the circuit board that may fail causing a stall or no start condition and potentially causing the vehicle to stall while driving and cause a risk of crash. Yet, the dealership is unwilling to do anything to resolve the issue because the recall does not include this VIN. The manufacturer refuses to acknowledge this issue and this is my only recourse until the issue happens two more times, I survive being in an inoperable moving vehicle and can file for lemon law rights.

As I turned into a gas station after driving highway speeds, the vehicle stalled out. I lost power steering and brakes. The dash began flashing put vehicle in park to start. I had to come to a complete stop, place the vehicle in park and then restart it. The vehicle has approx 3800 miles on it with a fresh oil change from the dealership, frontier Dodge. After restarting, the vehicle ran fine.
