Takata recall at this time, I am waiting for parts to arrive at my dealership so they can replace my defective part. It has been 7 months and I'm told by my dealer it could be Feb. 2018 before they see parts to repair this situation. Given that only a minor front end bump could set off the passenger side airbag and potentially maim or kill someone in my car is very threatening and scary to think about. It's like driving around with an ied in the glove box! I'd like Ford to step up and assist in getting replacement parts out much quicker!

The contact owns a 2006 Mercury Milan. While driving 20 mph, the contact depressed the brake pedal and the driver side air bag ruptured independently without warning. As a result, the contact was blinded and rear ended the preceding vehicle. A police report was not filed. The contact sustained cuts under the eye, nose, and chin from the air bag. Medical attention was not received. The contact was able to drive the vehicle back home. The vehicle was towed to town motors Inc (400 South dean street, englewood, NJ, 07631) where the dealer removed the black box from the vehicle to send off for investigation. Due to the excessive body damage from the collision and the repair cost, the vehicle was not repaired at the dealer except for the replacement of the black box. The dealer cut out the air bag from the driver's side. The contact drove the vehicle to an independent auto body shop. The body damage was repaired, but the driver's side air bag was not repaired because the body shop did not provide that type of service. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the air bag exploded due to contact with the other vehicle. The contact received NHTSA campaign number: 16V384000 (air bags) for the passenger side air bag. There was no recall notice received for the driver's side air bag. The failure mileage was approximately 43,000.

Takata recall, received a post card from tk holdings explaining about the chapter 11 that was filed.,it states to contact your nearest dealership immediately to schedule a free repair. I contacted two dealerships and neither one could help because first they didn't know anything about the postcard until, they started getting calls about it. Second, they don't have the parts, one said they wouldn't know who to contact to get the parts.so it sounds like to this was very disorganized through this company and Mercury Ford, no communication to their dealers. What do I do now to get the airbag and get it installed.. the dealership near me said, they are sorry but they don't know what to say and they were sorry but they don't have any information about this and I was the 10th person that called them today about this post card. They said they don't have the parts and the parts have not been made for my vehicle.

Takata recall 16V384000 dated June 2016. Dealer has no parts. Ford Motor Company response is passive, uncaring at best. Vehicle is unsafe to use and impossible and immoral to sell. NHTSA notice now states bankruptcy court ordered a deadline of December 27, 2017 for all claims. Can status of replacement by Ford Motor Company be investigated and expedited?

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2004 (na) Mercury Milan. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17V024000 (air bags) and stated that the part was not available within a reasonable time frame to schedule the recall repair. The dealers (whaling city Ford Lincoln Mazda, 475 broad St, new london, ct 06320, (844) 489-4929) and (flood Ford Lincoln, 21 woodruff ave, narragansett, ri 02882, (401) 515-2700) did not give a specific date for when the part would become available. The manufacturer was contacted and could not provide an estimated date for when the contact's vehicle would receive the recall repair. The contact was not experiencing a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

I received a notice back in January saying that my airbag needed replacing and I would be contacted to set up a date and time to have them replaced, but I was never contacted to have this issue solved. I am very concerned at this point because I don't want my airbags deploying while my vehicle is in motion or stopped without any impact.

Takata recall. I received a recall notice from Ford Motor Company in July 2016 (over one year ago) and Ford has still not made available a remedy for the recall. I am driving a vehicle with a potentially dangerous defect that can cause serious injury or even death and Ford has not provided a repair even after years of knowing the extreme risks their product may cause.

Takata inflators- I have contacted advantage Ford on several occasions since receiving a recall notice in July 2016. Each time I have been told that replacement parts are not available. Last week I was told that I could call Ford headquarters or Mercury headquarters but they didn't it would help. This car is now more than 10 years old and is situated in Florida with hot weather year round. I am scared each time I drive it that I or my passenger will be injured by this unsafe airbag situation. It seems that someone should be able to apply pressure on takata to provide replacement parts or at the very least have the car manufacturers produce the replacement parts and go after takata for expenses.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2006 Mercury Milan. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 16V384000 (air bags). The dealer (pilson Ford, 2000 lake land blvd, mattoon, il 61938, (217) 234-2397) was unable to schedule an appointment for the recall repair because the manufacturer had not supplied the remedy and repair parts for months. In addition, the air bag indicator illuminated months later and the front passenger side air bag was protruding outward from its original structured position. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.

Takata recall - I received a recall notice from Ford Motor Company for the passenger frontal airbag inflator, dated July 2016. It has been over 1 year now and I have not received any follow-up information regarding replacement of this piece, and the NHTSA website states that there is still no remedy available. This flawed piece of equipment is potentially deadly, should it rupture, and it is unacceptable that it has been over 1 year and still "no remedy is available". please let me know when I can expect a replacement piece for this to be available as soon as possible. Thank you.

"takata recall" I was notified back in 2014 that I had a takata airbag inflator on the passenger side that was needing to be fixed. I contacted Ford and made an appointment to come in. When I got there, they said that they did not have parts to do it and said that I would be receiving a letter in the mail from Ford once that part came in. I called approximately 6 months later because I had never received anything in the mail and they said they would check into it and get back with me. I never heard back from the Ford dealership. I was working with buckeye Ford in london, oh. I would have thought they would have contacted me by now.
