I first noticed severe vibration when going on highway, I applied brake and the entire front end started to vibrate. The car only has around 16,000 miles and its 2018 model. Bad rotor is causing this to shake. This rotor must have come from the factory defective. The dealer is unwilling to replace it. They want me to pay for this repair around $300. I realize that brake pads are not covered but the rotors should be covered because they came like that from the factory.

The police were on the scene and a case was filed. The contact sustained neck and arm injuries. However, the ambulance was not on the scene. The vehicle was towed to Toyota of fayetteville (1352 w showroom dr, fayetteville, ar 72704) where the vehicle was deemed a total loss. The manufacturer for was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 36,392.

I was driving to pick up my wife at ward low station in long beach all of a sudden the warning light come on indicate low brake warning than I try to step on the brake and L can not stop the car. I hit the curve side just stop the car. There's a damage on the front passenger bumper. I called the towing company to tow my car to the shop.

The car comes to a complete stop while driving. I was driving on a business street route, day was clear. Traveling in motion at 45-50 mph. The red brake light comes on and immediately stops the car. I have taken to the dealership and they have seen the stopping on the computer and said nothing was wrong. This happened again today almost causing an accicdent again

The contact owns a 2018 Toyota Camry. While driving 80 mph at night, the vehicle suddenly decelerated to 50 mph. The failure occurred twice and nearly caused a crash the second time. The contact believed the forward collision avoidance feature suddenly activated. The manufacturer took the black box information after the vehicle was taken to green's Toyota of lexington (630 E new circle rd, lexington, ky 40505, (859) 254-5751). In addition, the brake rotors failed and the transmission suddenly downshifted while driving 35 mph. The contact felt the manufacturer was not going to assist. The manufacturer was still researching the information obtained from the vehicle's black box. The vehicle was purchased brand new and had been to the dealer between 10 to 15 times. The failure mileage was 20,000.

The car applied the brakes very hard while traveling down a major thoroughfare with no objects or other vehicles nearby. I was running around 50mph and the collision avoidance activated and the car slowed to nearly 20mph.

1. every time I back out of my driveway my brakes squeak very loudly. 2. the transmission never knows what gear to be in while driving and will clunk in and out of gear while in motion. 3. has a terrible burning smell of plastic and oil like when the car engine is hot. 4. drive side cabin has a constant antifreeze smell while running the A/C 5. the engine has a horrible load knocking noise while running. It sounds like a very old car. 6. I don't know what's wrong with the acceleration of the car or if it was designed this way but the 3-5 sec delay is dangerous I have complained about each one of these items to the Toyota dealer in gastonia nc at the 5 mile, 10mile and 15mile service and each time the dealer just tells me its fine and that's normal.

Brakes squeal loudly when backing out of sloped driveway on cold morning. Also, light sheet of rust on exterior and interior surface of all discs. Squeal goes away after a short while (ABS warm-up issue?), and the exterior rust went away after a few days of use. I've never seen or heard such on a new vehicle before (have driven multiple new cars over 40 years).

Very loud screeching sound brakes make every time I reverse my 2018 Toyota Camry xse. The sound is so loud my entire neighborhood knows when I leave my home. Dealership said it was normal. Not sure I can't trust my brakes.

Car cannot seem to determine which gear it should be in. When in stop and go traffic on freeway and pedal is not depressed, car lurches forward and a clunk is heard as the vehicle downshifts. Clunking sound is made worse in cold, humid, or cloudy weather. In the streets, when turning a corner and hitting the gas, there is a noticeable lag (about 2 seconds) until the car jerks forward and increases speed. If you want to pass someone you need to be very careful because the car can suddenly lurch forward and a higher speed than intended, or not accelerate at all. When car automatically brakes for you to avoid a collision, a loud rattling noise is heard and felt throughout cabin when depressing pedal, with most of the noise concentrated in the area under the hood of car.

The vehicle crashed into a wall and bounced back approximately 30 feet, striking a nearby parking column. The contact stated that the automatic ABS became inoperative during the failure. The air bags did not deploy. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a salvage lot where it was deemed destroyed by the insurance company. The contact suffered severe bruising and bleeding from the driver's seat belt across the left side of the chest. Medical attention was required. The manufacturer was made aware of the crash and sent an engineer on November 14, 2018 to remove the computer system from the vehicle for further analysis. In addition, the contact was provided with case number: 810130693. The failure mileage was 5,600.
