There has been a known issue and recall on this vehicle since August with both personal and public life threatening events. Official notifications are just being shared from Toyota with no sight line provided for permanent fix. This causes significant cause for concern and angst in daily driving of the vehicle. If a fix isn-??t available, a complete vehicle recall and exchange should be provided as resolution. These are serious life threatening circumstances that could impact myself, my family or innocent bystander. I feel unsafe and hold Toyota and National highway traffic and safety directly liable. The enforcement and the assumed liability by Toyota of delivering a safe vehicle should be upheld.

Before this recall happened we had issues with screen blacking out and crashing even after the recall was -??fixed-?? also the back seat outlet has never worked. The malfunction of the grille shutter and park support brake malfunction came last week and we had to have that fixed. Now this! The dealerships around kansas don-??t have loaner vehicles or rentals available. How is this okay?!

This vehicle is dangerous. There are many more, complaint level issues, but there are at least three real safety issues. First, the automatic braking system has engaged multiple times for no reason. Traveling down a straight, flat road in good weather, the brakes suddenly went fully engaged. On one occasion my dog was thrown forcefully into the dash and was injured and then afraid to ride in the truck. It makes me afraid of the truck as well and could have easily caused an accident. Second, there is the known fuel line issue. This could, according to the manufacturer, be a fire risk. However, there's no remedy. So I'm driving around this truck that could catch fire, that likes to slam on the brakes for no reason. Third, there's something wrong with the windshields in these trucks. Mine recently was broken while the vehicle was parked. It just cracked. Just driving it home made the crack quadruple in size. It's unsafe to drive as is. I contacted Toyota and they aren't interested in considering that there's something wrong with the windshields, yet they can't replace it, because they're back ordered due to so many being broken. So I have a truck that slams on the brakes unpredictably, that might catch fire, that the windshield broke for no reason but can't be replaced. I've spoken several times with Toyota corporate about this and they have no answers and keep referring to the dealer who tells me there are no answers and to call toyota. It's a classic runaround while my $70,000 truck is unsafe to drive. It's absolutely unsafe and the NHTSA needs to act to protect consumers from these vehicles.

[XXX] - After driving the truck for less than six months (with only one key fob) I was notified via the Toyota mobile app on August 10, that my truck had a safety recall for the fuel line with limited information provided through the Toyota mobile app. At no time was I advised that the vehicle was unsafe to operate. Upon bringing my vehicle into McGeorge Toyota on August 28, 2023 for the standard 5,000-mile service, I requested that the dealer address the recall by making a temporary remedy to ensure the safe operation of the vehicle until the permanent remedy was determined. At that time, the service representative advised me that Toyota (manufacturer), has provided no direction nor materials to make either the temporary or permanent repairs to the truck. I asked what would be done to make this right and they advised me that they would contact me when the remedy was available and there was no additional action at that time. Not feeling satisfied with that unsafe resolution which I interpreted as an implication that I should continue to drive the vehicle until the remedy was available, I called the Toyota Brand Engagement Center and the advocate advised me that I could request a loaner vehicle. Upon speaking with Chris Wiltshire, the service manager at McGeorge, I suggested that the advocate informed me I could request a loaner vehicle. The loaner was not of like kind, function, or value compared to my Tundra. The remedy has not been completed and the truck has been sitting on the dealer lot since August. The dealer refuses to provide a comparable loaner, coordinate a comparable rental or refund the purchase price of the truck. The manufacturer refuses to commit to covering full rental or refunding purchase price of truck. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I was in the right lane on the 15 southbound from mesquite heading towards Las Vegas. Got into the passing lane to pass a semi and all power was lost after cutting over. I had to immediately cut over back to the right lane after passing the semi and pull over to the shoulder. This was a very dangerous situation and I have heard of others with the same vehicle going through the same thing. I do have video evidence of the situation as well. I will contact Toyota tomorrow

I fueled my vehicle and once I started my car my fuel gauge remained the same, as if I never put full. I turned off the my vehicle and stared it again. The fuel level still did not change. I went to another pump to see if there was actual fuel from the other pump that went into the vehicle. The other pump stopped right away, signaling I had a full tank. I drove around for 15 minutes but no change to the fuel gauge. I parked the vehicle at home and planned to take it into the dealership the following day, but my fuel gauge corrected it self later displaying a full tank. I-??ve seen in the forums this has been a problem. There was no warning lights or CELs upon this problem.

Fuel gauge was at 3/4 tank. Parked on slight incline for 2 hours. On drive home noticed fuel gauge was reading completely full. Fuel gauge has issues after parking on incline.
