I have made multiple appointments at WINN VW of Woodland Hills, CA to have these recalls repaired (57J5, 97ZZ) only to have the dealership cancel the appointments both times. I called Galpin VW of Van Nuys, CA and was told flat out that they would not schedule my vehicle for repairs. I was last given an appointment of January 8th, 2024 by Santa Monica VW of Santa Monica CA. I believe that VW is acting with gross negligence and not making a good faith effort to have these recalls repaired in a reasonable timeframe and is therefore putting me and my family lives and safety in danger.

There is an open safety recall for the HV battery that is unable to be fixed in a reasonable time. My local dealer can't fix because they don't have a HV technician and when I called another I was told I can't get it fixed until April, 2024. How can a vehicle manufacturer sell cars that it cannot fix because there are not enough technicians especially with safety issues. Why can they continue to sell cars they cannot fix in a timely manner. I am stuck with the car because not many people want to buy a car with an open safety recall that cannot be fixed in a reasonable time. What are my rights?

The vehicle has shot down twice when about to leave my garage and has gone dead, zero lights, completely dead. I have had to step out of the car, wait a few seconds before getting in again and pushing the brake to wake him up (it-??s an EV). All this in a period of two weeks a couple of months ago. I did no pay too much attention at the time until I read that there is a recall that looks like this problem and that it can happen amid driving, with possible fatal consequences if I-??m driving in a freeway for example. I have called the dealer twice and have not got my car checked yet. They tell me to wait, that I-??m in a list but this is serious!

It happened to me at least 3 times. The first one happened Oct, 2021, when I did not realize it is a big serious problem. The other two happened in Aug 2022 and Oct 2022, respectively. All the three incidences took place after I charged my vehicle in a hot environment exposed to scathing sun shine. The drive assistance and sensor were not working, the cruise function did not work, and the road sign reading feature was not available. Several warning signs about those functions and features showed on driver's console. I was driving on Highway 15 or Highway 405 and of course I could not stop and check. However, after driving like 15-30 minutes, these features go back to normal. I suspect the sensors that make those functions and features work cannot handle the harsh temperature well.

I received a safety recall letter from Volkswagen in May, 2022 that stated there is a problem with "Flexible Printed Circuit Solder for High-Voltage (HV) Battery". NHTSA Recall Number is 22V162, and Volkswagen Recall Number is 93O2. But since then I have not received further information on how and when it will be fixed. No update on this recall is given even if I contacted the Volkswagen Customer Care in Aug, 2022.

During a trip driving home 3/31/2023 at approximately 11:00pm, the car's software system failed. The console that displays the digital speedometer was affected on the car as well as the infotainment system. The message on the console displayed a message "Warnings and Information not available. Drive with greater care!" The digital speedometer displayed three dashes through the rest of the trip home. All of the car's features including lane correction were offline. This car's software is not functional enough for the car to be driven safely.

Feb 07,2023 Manufacturer Recall Number97ZZ NHTSA Recall Number23V040 Recall StatusRecall Incomplete, remedy not yet available This report came out over a month ago. I have to drive my car with the knowledge that it's basically unsafe. Volkswagen has been completely silent about this problem for far too long. I understand that Volkswagen is working on the problem but they do not communicate with owners other than make promises they don't keep. Now they are telling us that we will hear by March 31. Does the NHTSA have the authority to demand that Volkswagen take action? I'm afraid to take my car out of the garage when almost every day, I read that someone else has problems with their car. This isn't right.

I was attempting to trade in my Id.4 for a Tesla and found out that my car had a major safety recall from Tesla. The recall has been out since Feb and I was never notified from VW. I called the dealership and the manager said he never heard of the problem and offered no solution except there is nothing they can do. Now I have to drive myself and my family around in a car that could crash. There is no insight when a fix will happen.

Driver's door keeps unlocking while driving. Swung open several times while driving. Also, sometimes difficult to unlock driver's door from the outside. All this seems to be be related to error messages concerning Auto Hold (which this vehicle does not have) and Travel Assist not being available. All this began after my first one year scheduled service on 2/17/23. Taking in vehicle on 3/10 concerning these problems. I had made an appointment for an earlier date, but cancelled it because everything went back to normal. The dealer said if the messages were not active, I would be wasting my time. I called the VW Customer Service Number and reported my concern on 2/24. I am not driving my vehicle as it is not safe if the driver's door opens while driving.
