Ram 1500 8-cyl

  • 140,000 miles
I am writing to complain about the recall process in general. I received a recall on a vehicle we purchased for our son. He drives it everyday. The notice indicated to call on Feb 23. So far I have had 4 dealers tell me they don't even have parts to fix the issue and that we could be looking at 6-8 weeks. Today I have 1 tell me that there are 2 recalls on this vehicle. 1 for each airbag. Does this process seem broken when something as crucial to driver and passenger safety takes 6-8 weeks to correct. Really? let's just roll the dice I guess and hope nothing happens between now and the time we are able to get this addressed. What's more troubling is I am told that the recall we received for the passenger airbag does have parts on the way, albeit 6-8 weeks away, the passenger side airbag parts are not even in the works. Are you kidding me.
