When stopped at a red light and I move my foot from the break to gas the car completely shuts off - the screens go black and the engine stalls. 2 weeks later the same thing happened when pulling in to a parking garage moving my foot from the break to the gas. The lights flashed and then the a message comes on the dash saying to shift the car in to park. I have to shift it in to park and turn the car off completely and then back turn it back on.

Brake pedal that slings forward after releasing and making a slamming noise, plastic parts just falling off inside from under the dash, the trim falling off on the outside, the obvious transmission, the power liftgate releasing and refusing to close on its own, the display screen blinking and occasionally refusing to respond, the tire pressure gage indicating a warning of pressure to 51psi then seconds later changing to 31psi (this one occured after the latest software update), gps is unbelievably unreliable, uconnect takes control when not given permission, start/stop button does not work everytime. Shutting the vehicle off has been difficult. Alt feature does not work about half the time, battery has had to be replaced two times. The inside liner around the roof not attached, the left back wheel the trim is popped off. The vehicle refused to go when at a busy intersection 4 days ago and almost caused a collision. Gas pedal was pushed down for 5 seconds before it started to move.

I was on the freeway traveling at about 70 mph when the service transmission light came on. A few minutes after that I lost power to the transmission. I tried shifting it into neutral and than shifting back into drive with no change. I was stuck in the emergency lane on the #3 side of the freeway. A state trooper was dispatched. As I was in park (can't remember if I shut the engine off or not) he had me put it into drive to see if the transmission would engage long enough to get me off the freeway. It did engage. I immediately exited the freeway and called the dealership. They had me call Jeep roadside assistance who dispatched a tow truck to deliver the vehicle to the dealership. In addition to the transmission not working the dash lights came on and will not turn back off.

Was driving car and came to a stop light. Auto on/off activated at stop light. When I released brake car tried to turn on, but stalled. Put car in park and started car. Drove to dealership. They performed updates on car. Got car back cruise control would not activate. Took car back cruise control started working they said no problem found. Was driving car and applied brakes with cruise control on. When I released brakes car accelerated forward towards car in front of me. Had to slam on brakes. Took car back to dealer, they replaced brake switch.got car back and had problems with transmission shifting. Dealership says nothing wrong with car. Got car back drove car for a month and a half or so then power steering went out while driving in parking lot. Took to dealer, they said it had a bad steering rack. National back-order for 5 months. They were able to get the part within a month and a half. Car seems to have many electrical issues that affect safety operations.

The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that there was a progressing failure of which the transmission independently shifted into a lower gear without warning. The reverse gear completely failed to function and the vehicle was towed to brandywine Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram (3807 kirkwood hwy, wilmington, de 19808, (302) 998-2271). The dealer provided further diagnostic testing and replaced the transmssion assembly. In addition, the contact stated that the steering wheel independently turned left when the contact was attempting to turn right. The wheels were out of direction when the failure occurred intermittently. The vehicle was towed to (keffer Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, 8214 E independence blvd, charlotte, nc 28227, (877) 406-5245) for further diagnostic testing. The manufacturer authorized a loaner vehicle for the dealer to further diagnose the failures. The dealer stated that the element was out on the battery and the manufacturer covered the replacement of the battery. The condition of the vehicle was still unstable. The manufacturer provided a case manager, but there was no permanent solution yet. The approximate failure mileage was 100.

I have a 2015 Jeep Cherokee with 25K miles on it. The transmission will come out of gear while driving, usually this happens while driving around town on secondary roads. The transmission will not re-engage until I stop the vehicle and make multiple attempts. Usually it will begin with the radio acting up, then gear shift lights and dashboard warning lights will start flashing. I have a detailed video if interested. Could not attach file. Updated 9/12/18

For the last two weeks, my 2015 Jeep Cherokee has been at an auto body shop to repair damage made from a break in. I have not driven my car since September 22nd. This morning, after finalizing the paperwork with the repair facility and paying a deductible, I was able to finally drive my Jeep again. Pulled out of the body shop's parking lot, onto a city street, drove not even a quarter of a mile and maybe a minute or so into the drive and the dashboard icon of the battery illuminated, the notification sound played, and the car slowed to a stop again. Also, the notification center displayed "shift to park". luckily this time I stopped at a red light. I shifted into park, placed my hazard lights on, and waved the cars that were behind me to drive around. Made the attempt to restart twice with no such luck. The third attempt saw the car turn back on successfully. The repair facility that I left is thankfully a few miles away from the dealership in which I lease the Cherokee. I drove immediately to the dealer, placed the car in front of the service department, and walked in to discuss the problem with the service department. After talking with one member of the service department, he stated that he would try to squeeze the Cherokee in for some testing but couldn't guarantee it because there were many cars scheduled for service and only one person available to possibly look at my car. Finally, after a few hours in the customer waiting area, I was told that the Jeep was low on oil. And that the Cherokee along with the Chrysler 200, and another car that I cannot remember at the moment are designed to stall when the amount of oil becomes low. The service department employee said that this was a "european design safety feature" for the car. I kept the Cherokee at the dealership for them to continue to investigate this problem on this upcoming Monday the 10th of October.

Randomly the vehicle feels as if someone is hitting the car from the front end when put into reverse due to a very hard shift into reverse. Randomly the electrical system will shut off when parked and turning the car on. The auto on/off will randomly shut off while driving and sometimes the vehicle will not start for some unknown reason. I hesitated reporting this thinking that it was probably just bad luck but because of a conversation with a co-worker who is having the exact same problems I thought that it may be a symptom of a larger problem and something I should report. If this were to happen when driving at higher speeds it could be a disaster.

My 2015 Jeep Cherokee trailhawk has been back and forth to the dealer for problems I've had with acceleration and braking. I've been trying to get on the highway and step on the gas with no acceleration. There are times I'm trying to stop and it bucks almost like it doesn't want to stop. It's been back and forth with computer updates, electrical components being updated etc. This issue is still occurring. This issue happens when going up hills, down hills, on straight aways etc. It can happen when starting from a complete stop or just when accelerating while the vehicle is already in motion. I do have receipts as to what they have replaced if needed. This issue is still occurring.

For the fourth time, my 2015 Jeep Cherokee locked up the park brake, and the electical components all begin to operate sporatically without being turned on. The instrument gauges all start flashing, the wipers start swiping, the display screen begins flashing on and off, the prndl starts flashing and becomes unresponsive, and the instrument panel begins displaying multiple error messages, as if they car has become possessed. The scariest part is when the park brakes locks up, no matter what speed you are travelling at. The car was in motion twice when the car malfunctioned and locked up, and just yesterday was sitting in a mcdonald's drive through when the same thing happened. My wife is now terrified to drive this car anymore after four times of the same issue. Our fear is this is going to happen on a crowded freeway, and a semi behind us will not be able to avoid hitting us because our park brake has locked up. There are other complaints of this same issue with other Jeep owners on the internet. I cannot afford to just trade this in for another vehicle...I need some help getting this resolved so my family isn't in jeopardy just keep driving this vehicle the dealer cannot seem to permanently fix.

The rear power lift gate will no latch to the locked position and it will not lift. 2016 I had the fca recall R67 repaired. June 1, 2017 I experienced my first issue with the power lift gate and the dealership cleaned G907 ground strap. August 23, 2017 I'm again experiencing the same issue. I believe this is a serious safety issue because the rear lift gate could be opened at anytime during vehicle movement and during a traffic collision.

While pulling out of parking lot vehicle started to stall, had to pump gas pedal. This caused the vehicle to lurch forward with a sputtering effect. Thought it might stall out. This has happened a few times, also when I turn vehicle off it will not start and there is no electrical operation at all. I've found I must remove key from ignition before it will restart. This instances happen at random

Driving my vehicle over the weekend while in motion on a city street my vehicle turned off and then turned back on, the vehicle turned completely off no power could not do anything the vehicle turned on and was able to continue driving. Where my family and I were extremely nervous the remainder of the time while driving home. Thank god I was not driving on a busy highway where this problem could have caused an accident where my family and myself could have gotten seriously hurt or worse could have killed someone in my vehicle or any other vehicle due to an accident. When the vehicle turned on again the check engine light came on and the start and stop system light came on advising to have the system checked, the rest of the time the vehicle was being driven home it constantly sounded like it was going to loose power and turn off.

Takata recall - the engin indicator light came on, on my way home but disappeared the morning when I started the Jeep. A few days later I drove it to a location where I stayed for 2 hours, left and got home where I stayed for a few minutes. Came back out to use the vehicle but the engine didn't 'turn over'. called the service because I thought it was the battery. They re-boot the car & I let the engine run for 1/2 hr. Per his instruction. The went to a drive thru and decided to head home but shortly after the Jeep shuts off at a stop light. I waited 5 min then restart and headed home with my hazard light flashing. I called the dealer and got 'an available' appointment four day thereafter.

Takata recall I was driving straight about 50mph on a city street and my back windshield exploded. My rear defrost was on.the holes were directly where the defrost cords were. The cords were sticking out and the glass was gone on those two spots. The defrost cord tips are black as if they were burnt. I called the police and they noticed my windshield was pushed out and not in, so nothing could have hit my car.

We had just parked the Jeep about 15 minutes before we had to leave again. We unlocked the vehicle, put our child inside and closed the door. When we tried to open the driver and passenger doors, the Jeep locked up and would not let us in to get our child. We were in August, and it was hot out. We finally pulled the battery and was able to get it open. The end result was the computer module needed replaces on a 6 month old vehicle. Even though the module was replaced, the Jeep has started to do the same things again. We can not have our children locked inside the vehicle for extended periods of time if the Jeep decides to lock them in. The warranty is now up on the vehicle and we are not able to financially replace the computer module.

I received a recall notice for my Jeep Cherokee 2015. It has taken me a while to actually find some time to take my car in for the recall. I called prior to going to the dealer to make an appointment and the guy at service said I could just walk in. I went in today and the same gentleman said I needed an appointment and that they couldn't take it in today because they had a lot of work. That if I wanted, I could leave it there until Friday. They don't lend you a car in the time being. I can't leave my car there and miss work. So I guess now I need to wait another week or so to get this fixed when the letter says it is a safety recall and it is important to fix it as soon as possible. It was a bad decision to have purchased this vehicle.
