- 2015 Toyota Camry: steering pulls Thank you Carcomplaints.com for solving my problem with the steering on my 2015 Toyota Camry. Of the first 10 complaints I read, 2 of them, #61 and #56, dealt with my problem, which is caused by low voltage from the battery. As discussed, no warning lights and no problems starting the car, but the low battery voltage caused it to pull one way or the other.Thank you again for solving our ... read more »
- 2017 Cadillac XT5: transmission shudder THE TRANSMISSION STUDDER BEGAN AS SOON AS I RECEIVED THE VEHICLE. MENTIONED TO THE DEALER, THEY TOOK IT IN, HAD A AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN RIDE IN VEHICLE WITH ME AND HE CONFIRMED THERE WAS A TRANSMISSION STUDDER, BUT THERE WAS NOT A PROBLEM CORRECTION AVAILABLE YET. I WAITED A FEW MONTHS, DID SOME ONLINE RESEARCH AND CAME UP WITH A FEW SERVICE BULLETINS: TSB 16-NA-019, TSB 16-NA-267, TSB 10083850, AND A PIP-5383. I SUPPLIED SOME OF THIS INFORMATION TO THE DEALERSHIP AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO BRING VEHICLE IN FOR ... read more »
- 2002 Nissan Pathfinder: rod knock rod knock - connecting rod bearing bad Rod knock occurred with no warning. Never had an oil issue. Never burned any oil at all. Labor cost to fix the $10.00 Bearing sleeve most likely over $2,000. Truck still runs but, to simply remove the main oil pan (to expose the lower rod bearings on the crank) is most likely 5+ hours of labor. It requires complete exhaust manifold to be removed motor needs to be jacked up, catalytic converter be disconnected, plus engine cross member and many many other parts need to be ... read more »

Purchased as a Dealer Certified used car with 40k miles 2 years ago (traded in 2012 Hyuandai Sonata with seized engine. Hyundai dealer in New Port Richie Fl replaced engine @ 99.500 miles under 100k mi. warranty). Ocean Honda In Port Richie FL took my Sonata in as trade giving me fair market value after engine was replaced. No complaint with Honda dealer service. Honda Dealer replaced my crosstour differential/axle, but returned to dealer 1 week ... read more »
- 2016 Hyundai Tucson: A/C intermittently blows warm air We noticed that it was blowing warm air intermittently. when the AC was workingWhen the problem first occurred it was right after we bought the vehicle, we immediately took it to the dealer who said "we cant duplicate it". The next time it happened we called and said it is now blowing cold air again and we were told to monitor it since if they cant duplicate it they cant work on it. I then found this web site with other owners having the same problem. We had the problem again except this time it was over an hour ... read more »
- 2003 Toyota 4Runner: check engine light on Check Engine Light and VSC Trac VSC Off lights are on and will not go out. -Replaced spark plugs with Platinum 100k mile plugs from RockAuto for about 6.00 each -Replaced ignitor coil with OEM part from RockAuto for about 55.00 -Check engine light still on, and I think it triggers the VSC lights, as well as using a non toyota OBD code reader. -I suspect dirty or failed fuel injector possibly. -I had several error codes, including P0301 (which is cylinder 1 misfire) and P0300 which is random cylinder misfire. ... read more »
- 2015 Ford F-150: intermittent brake failure Brakes failed first thing after truck started, so when I was pulling the truck off the road into the driveway to park it, I hit my other car in the driveway. That's the first time it happened. Of course, first I blamed myself for failing to stop, then I thought of air in the brake line.... Eventually went onto the net and found that there is an issue with this on the Ecoboost trucks. This problem happened few times, once while I was driving to dealership. Once I got to the dealership, I informed them of the ... read more »
- 2008 Honda Accord: grinding noise at start up Car started clacking very briefly on first day of cold weather upon initial start up. I thought that the starter was bad. I checked out Auto Beef and sure enough it was the VTC actuator that people are having trouble with...I thought my warranty had expired so I was reluctant to bring it to the dealer....I was relieved to know that the powertrain on 07 and newer is covered for 5 yr/60k . First I heard about that I was under the impression the whole car was just 3yr/36k. Dealer is replacing part on 2/21/11. This ... read more »
- 2011 Nissan Juke: fuel fumes in cabin Purchased certified used Juke. Didn't smell any fumes while test driving or driving home. Parked it in the garage over night. Next morning garage was full of gas fumes and so was the interior of the vehicle. According to Carfax it had already had the recalled fuel system problem fixed. Had a 3 day window to return this car for a full refund no questions asked. So that is what we did. Learned a huge lesson. Go to CarComplaints.com before buying a used ... read more »
- 2011 Dodge Ram 1500: fuel pump failure After reading the many complaints listed, I am sure this is yet another TIPM issue. First symptom...tire pressure system maintenance message coming on...tire pressure checked and was fine and the message stays on. One tire not registering on display at all. The door locks intermittently go crazy and trigger at random times when driving. The car will crank but won't turn over. It would start with the remote but when the key fob was inserted, it would stall. It would take a series of random acts to juke it into ... read more »

- 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan: power door locks not working This is only a rant to dodge for not spelling out the fuse for the power locks. I too had the problem with the door locks quitting. I pulled the 20 amp iod fuse out for about 1 min. put it back in and it worked. Thanks to your page I had this problem fixed in 5 min. Part of that time was getting my ass out to the garage.Once again THANKS and I hope this fix is the first and ... read more »
- 2007 Toyota RAV4: exhaust leak I had a similar prob to the the others with the rusted exhaust system. The dealer wanted $1700 to repair it but thanks to this web site I pushed the dealer and finally they conceded that it was covered under the 8 year 80000 mile warranty. Thanks so much to the ... read more »
- 2013 Honda CR-V: unintended acceleration while braking This is a very serious safety issue. While driving in stop & go traffic, I was fully stopped with my foot on the brake when suddenly I felt & heard a surge of engine power. My car lurched forward and hit the car in front of me. I could not stop my car's forward momentum. The driver of the other car was taken to the hospital in an ambulance complaining of head, neck, & back pain. Fortunately I was not injured ~ just badly shaken up. Both cars sustained significant damage. When I reported the situation to the ... read more »
- 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix: key stuck in the ignition "key stuck in the ignition" has been an intermittent problem for over a year. Would not occur at dealership when I went to ask what it would cost to fix it -- thus, they talked about disassembling lots of things to find the problem. It didn't happen often enough to make me give them carte blanche to fool around with it for an open-ended fee. The problem is now very bad. It takes me five minutes or more of shifting in and out of Park and trying to take out the key; obviously can't leave the keys in the car, ... read more »
- 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek: dangerous steering in slush/snow/ice I wanted to add my 2 cents on this website because previous complaints on here were very helpful to me. I have a 2013 Subaru Crosstrek. This winter it started performing very very poorly in snowy or icy conditions. Fishtailing all over the place. It was honestly very scary to drive. I have lived in upper midwest for years and driven many types of vehicles in snowy conditions. This was so bad. I took it to Fox Subaru in Marquette, Mi. They told me they thought all it needed was an alignment. I was skeptical because ... read more »
- 2002 Ford Explorer: clutch failure Purchased a 2002 Ford Explorer with manual transmission a year ago. Vehicle is in excellent condition and came with all service records. Clutch failed and was taken to a transmission shop. Found that the clutch assembly parts are OBSOLETE already. Apparently there were very few of these particular clutch assemblies produced. Not a single obsolete parts dealer had the parts! Spoke with Ford and they told me to "scrap" the vehicle. What? Only 110,000 miles, excellent condition and have two years left on the loan. I ... read more »
- 2004 Dodge Ram 1500: engine stalls/dies while driving Just found this site and glad!! Bought my '04' Hemi in 06 and my Dodge has died, numerous times, no warning, at stop signs, freeway traffic stand-stills, red lights... Dealer ship (like so many have mentioned) claimed they couldn't replicate the problem. Well hello!! It is random, and unless they want to give me a loaner for over a week and they drive it MORE than 1 mile and down the road, then they will never be able to replicate it! No codes show up, and have been told it is everything from the throttle body ... read more »
- 2007 Toyota Camry: sun visor is broken The driver side sun visor clip where the visor can be attached or detached was loose since the day I bought it. It has always driven me nuts but it would have been an even greater inconvenience to drop the car off for the dealer to fix it. (The dealer probably would have said it was because I flipped it the wrong way anyways.) About a month ago the clip completely came out of the roof. On my way to work the sun shines through the driver side window so I usually swing the visor around to block it. That morning the ... read more »
